My stay in Suzhou this time was absolutely fantastic, so I just had to leave a heartfelt review! The hotel has a Japanese-inspired design, simple and clean, creating a wonderful ambiance. The room was tidy and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. The location is also superb, with everything you need nearby. There are tons of dining options right outside, making it super convenient for eating out and shopping. But what really warmed my heart was the service! The overall experience was top-notch, perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou!

The room was spacious and quite clean. We booked this hotel specifically for its hot springs, and it didn't disappoint. There are 12 pools in total, all very clean. We had unlimited access to the pools during our stay, and the provided towels and slippers were spotless. We tried all the different temperatures, ranging from 28 to 41 degrees Celsius, and really enjoyed the fish spa – it was a lot of fun! Behind the hotel, there's a mountain covered in bayberry trees with a long wooden boardwalk, perfect for hiking. After a hike, a dip in the hot springs is incredibly relaxing. We also stumbled upon electric scooters for rent along the scenic road, which was a pleasant surprise. This place is a hidden gem! We'll definitely be back when the bayberries are ripe.

I booked a family room with a private hot spring. It was quite spacious and even had a small courtyard. The villa-style rooms are all on one floor. The hotel itself covers a large area and offers a huge variety of room types. The facilities are a bit dated, but they're clearly trying their best with maintenance. The main draw seems to be the hot spring and family-friendly amenities, with plenty of activities. The transportation service is very convenient; WeChat messages are answered instantly (kudos to Radish Butler!). There are quite a few cute animals, including two large horses that have even had their manes dyed! The hotel is full of Year of the Horse elements, and there are many horse dolls in the rooms. For the private hot spring, you need to request water 2 hours in advance. The hotel's location is directly opposite the East Gate of Slender West Lake Scenic Area. Most famous restaurants are within a 3km radius, which is very convenient for tourists. Quyuan is a 600-meter walk, but I didn't go. I recommend Xiangyuan, which is only 100 meters away – a great spot for breakfast! I would definitely come back again, maybe try staying in the Cihua Hall next time.

TTim Captures Moments 2026.01.23
We stayed here for one night at the start of our Yangzhou trip to enjoy the hot springs, and overall it was a mixed but pleasant experience. The room was large and spacious, which we appreciated, but it didn’t feel especially comfortable or cosy compared to other hotels we stayed at later in the trip. The layout felt more functional than relaxing. One important thing to note is the private hot spring attached to the room. While it sounds great in theory, in our case it was located close to a road and not very private, with limited screening. The shower area was also visible from outside, which made it feel a bit awkward to use and reduced the sense of privacy we were expecting. That said, the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive, which made a positive difference to the stay. The location is very nice, especially if you enjoy walking. The hotel is close to Slender West Lake, with its beautiful old bridges, pathways, and water crossings — very pleasant for a slow walk. We also enjoyed having tea by the lake, although it was a long walk from the hotel. Breakfast offered a good variety, but most items didn’t feel very fresh. The coffee, unfortunately, was among the worst we’ve had — definitely not one for coffee lovers (said with a smile 😄). Overall, this is a good option if your priority is hot springs, walking access to the park, and attentive service, but it may not suit travellers who value privacy, comfort, or a more refined in-room hot spring experience.

I strongly recommend this hotel to all friends who are going to Yangzhou for tourism - Slender West Lake Songcheng Resort Hotel. It is the best hotel I have stayed in so far. First of all, the hotel is very cost-effective, including tickets to Slender West Lake, hot spring tickets and morning tea in Fun Garden. Secondly, the service is great. Every staff member is warm, considerate and meticulous. I would like to especially thank the duty manager Mr. Ma Jun. My mother has Alzheimer's disease and ran out of the hotel by herself at night. After I asked the front desk for help, Manager Ma who was on duty that day immediately checked the video and then rode a bicycle in the direction where my mother went for nearly an hour. Finally, I found my mother at the west gate of Songjiacheng. Our whole family is extremely grateful and warm. As a fellow villager who goes back to Yangzhou to visit relatives and friends every year, I feel honored and proud that my hometown has such a perfect hotel!

This hotel has excellent facilities, including the opportunity to make tea around the fire, take photos wearing Hanfu costumes, enjoy hot springs, and enjoy Japanese-style accommodations. It's perfect for those who want to take photos. The hotel also offers a wide selection of clothing, props, and hair accessories, which were all excellent. The hotel staff upgraded us to a room with a terrace. The room was spacious, but we couldn't find a fan in the bathroom. Otherwise, it was excellent.

This is a homestay that exceeded my expectations. Our classmates had three weekend gatherings, all of which were good experiences. The boss and the proprietress are Shanghainese, and they operate this self-retentioned place with their heart! The boss used to study in Germany, and in Germany, both Chinese and Western food have dabbled. Here we booked a dinner, not the direction of the farmhouse, but a more exquisite blend of Chinese food taste! For example, beef stew radish stew, the taste is relatively Cantonese but there is also a balance of Shanghai's exquisite taste. According to the boss's outlook, next time you should go to his house to try German sausage and sauerkraut pork elbow. Seeing that he is confident, he is more expected! Meet next time his family officially prepares a meal, come to experience the food! His house has a swimming pool, billiard room, table tennis, mahjong room (there are two tables, it is recommended that the two seats are better to separate the two rooms, do not interfere with each other), and there is a k song room (the sound and core are general, eat and drink enough to sing and sing). The clean and detailed design of the room is full of care. It is said that next year, on the glass roof of the existing first floor, a large aquarium will be built on it. Drinking coffee beer below, you can see the fish swimming on the top. It should be full of enjoyment! It is about 20 kilometers away from the sunrise beach. It needs to start at 4 in the morning and can take a beautiful sunrise. The place to catch the sea is not recommended in the blue sea and silver sand in Evergrande Venice. There are a lot of people here. The water smells and is limited. You can come out of the wild beach to catch the sea!

Basically, the products of Huajiantang must be boutique. The hotel is in a very good location. Behind it is Yumatou, the Grand Canal, and Hua Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. There are noisy gongs and drums outside, and the voices are bustling, but it is very quiet in the hotel, which is very suitable for vacation. The facilities are very new, it is very comfortable to live in, the room is large enough, and the scenery is very good, not to mention the service, which can be ranked among the top domestic hotels. Basically, the front desk is responsive. I originally wanted to stay for one day, and then I extended it for another day because of the service. The young lady is very enthusiastic and actively recommends delicious and fun things around, and pays great attention to various service details. For example, when my wife had a birthday, the young lady took photos for her, printed the photos and put them in a wooden frame to give to my wife. I give full marks for this wave of service. The mineral water used is of the same grade as that of Qingdao St. Regis (Qingdao St. Regis is a top luxury hotel in our Shandong), and the various drinks in the small bar are the same as those used by Beijing Bulgari, and there are also various snacks, all free. The only downside is that the parking lot is a bit far away. It is said to be 150 meters away, but it is conservatively estimated to be 300 to 400 meters. The breakfast is good, but the dinner ordered in the restaurant is indeed average. This is basically the best (most expensive) hotel in Huai'an, so whether you are on a business trip or a vacation, you can't go wrong here.

The room layout is very user-friendly, with sockets readily available, which is very convenient for people who need to charge various electronic devices when traveling~ The restaurant on the first floor tastes very good, and you can enjoy delicious food without leaving the hotel~ I would like to especially praise Mr. Xia Jiayu, who was proactive and enthusiastic throughout the whole process and made our family feel at home👍 The only shortcoming is that the water pressure for the shower is not very strong, I hope it can be improved!

We booked this place very late when we went to Shushan. Upon check-in, we were generously upgraded to a lake-view room. There's a hot spring open at night, not crowded at all, and the shuttle service is on-call, even late at night – excellent! The only thing is, this season, only the pomelo and tangerine trees still have fruit; everything else isn't looking its best. I'm sure the scenery would be amazing in spring or summer! Room service was good; anything we requested was delivered promptly. A male attendant with glasses even noticed that the pillowcase I wanted wasn't very clean and proactively went to swap it for a new one, making two trips. When calling a car to go out, you can set the departure location as the South Gate, near the lobby, which is quite convenient. Also, the complimentary fruit platter was a bit stingy, just three small items – I even wondered if they were left over from the previous guest, haha! Another thing is that both in the hot spring showers and the guest rooms, the hot and cold water labels on the faucets aren't very clear, making them inconvenient to use. Winter will eventually pass; I hope all the staff continue to be enthusiastic and dedicate their passion to the hotel's 'spring'!

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western, asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious. Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery. Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy. Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad. Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests. The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries. Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower. The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums. In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs. Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me. But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

MMusaOur stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime. Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor. The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish. Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

EEddie1724The hotel's location is good, and the facilities are decent, but the service is truly terrible, riddled with various mistakes. For a hotel of this caliber, both domestically and internationally, the service is quite poor: 1. I initially booked 7 rooms for 2 nights: 5 twin rooms and 2 king rooms. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I needed to cancel one night for one of the rooms. I was told that to cancel one night, I would have to cancel all 7 rooms and rebook. Since it was close to New Year's Day, room prices were increasing daily. Rebooking just to cancel one night would have cost me over 600 RMB more, so I decided against it. Later, due to personal reasons, I canceled one king room, and I'm not even going to bother calculating the loss, but the logic behind the initial policy completely eludes me. 2. As it was a family gathering, I contacted the hotel in advance to book a private dining room for dinner at their Chinese restaurant and to update the guest information, leaving my phone number. The customer service representative was very enthusiastic, assuring me everything was registered and that the Chinese restaurant would contact me shortly. I waited all day but received no call from the restaurant. The next day, I proactively called the Chinese restaurant to book a private room myself. 3. The day before check-in, the hotel called me to confirm my check-in details. I mentioned that I had already provided this information a few days prior, but the hotel claimed they had no record. I re-confirmed all the information and the updated guest details. The hotel then said they would send the park entry code by 7 PM. However, I didn't receive it until 8 PM, after I had to call the hotel myself. 4. Since our group was arriving in shifts, the first companions to arrive went to check in, only to find that the hotel didn't have her name on file. I had already communicated and confirmed the updated guest information with the hotel twice before this, yet it was still incorrect at check-in. 5. Our main group arrived in the evening, and we each proceeded to check in. Bizarrely, we were given a room that was already occupied! For a hotel of this standard, such a mistake is unimaginable. The duty manager even told me they would investigate the cause. Was I asking for an investigation? I needed a new room immediately! They left us stranded in the lobby for over ten minutes. Reflecting on it later, what if the front desk had re-issued my room key while I was sleeping at night... 6. Peanut shells from lunch at the Chinese restaurant were left on the coffee table. When we went for dinner that evening, they were still there, still there, still there. 7. I brought my own tea to the Chinese restaurant. After dinner, no one reminded me to take my unfinished tea with me. 8. There were no welcome fruits or snacks upon check-in. These are my complaints. If it were a budget hotel or another ordinary hotel, I wouldn't have such high standards. This is truly a hotel management issue. Oh, and today, customer service called me to ask about my stay experience. I voiced all the above complaints, but this hotel probably won't remember after one or two mentions. I didn't take many photos because the check-in experience was so poor. My holiday mood was completely ruined by the hotel's service.

GGuest UserAs a new hotel, the hygiene here is quite good. Even though the rooms are sunken, there were no strange odors after checking in. Plus, all our food deliveries arrived quickly, which was perfect for someone like me who doesn't like walking much. I really want to commend and thank a few staff members for their excellent service. Eason not only allowed us to check in early but also thoughtfully arranged an electric cart to shuttle my elderly parents and children between the front desk and our room for the entire two days. This was incredibly convenient. Gary was very attentive to the safety of my parents and children when driving the cart, always taking it slow. And Zhang Xiaohua did an incredibly thorough job cleaning and sanitizing the hot tub, which eased all my worries about the hygiene of an outdoor bath. Also, the sound bath therapy is definitely worth experiencing; it's a great way to relax, unwind, and aid sleep. Now, about the breakfast – it was incredibly disappointing. I've honestly never seen such a poor breakfast spread. Not only was the variety limited, but the food itself felt very cheap. Buns, eggs, noodles, and wontons made up half the selection. For fruit, it was just dragon fruit, oranges, cantaloupe, and watermelon. As for drinks, there was only milk, no juice. It felt like the 300+ yuan we paid was entirely for the view and service fees.
