Basel Resorts

I was staying with my son at Metropole Hotel and our room was on top floor next to the panoramic restaurant. Our room was big enough for both of us, bathroom was okay, it could be little bit bigger but it was clean. There was no airco but we slept really good with open window and the streetnoise didn't bothered us. The Hotel is nearby Central Station and metro so it was very relaxing to use public transportation and tip go to Markthalle to grab a bite, just 600m nearby Metropole

The room was great, but the soundproofing was not very good, and the sound of the next door could be clearly heard... There were many varieties of breakfast, the service was in place, and the charging head was not suitable for the front desk to provide a copy directly. The episode was check out and found that there was a dinner on my head, but I took out the list and it was not my room number. The front desk apologized. Overall very good

Bed was very uncomfortable. It's a folding Murphy's bed. Never seen this in a hotel. It was not so clearly visible while making the booking that hotel parking will cost extra CHF25 per night. All together there was no great financial benefit in selecting this hotel. I will not like to use this again.

This hotel is great. The staff are very nice and helpful in every way. It has all the amenities that’s required for tourists and it’s very clean.. Breakfast was good no complaints here. They even have a QRCODE for a free ride on the tram or bus. how cool is that. They even called a taxi for us to take us to the Viking tor departure. We definitely recommend this hotel. Oh by the way it’s only five minutes walk to the center Basel..GREAT PLACE.

This was the third hotel I stayed at in Europe, and it was definitely the best experience. The room wasn't large but it was quite new, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There are just too many 'old' hotels in Europe, you know? 🙂↕️ Right downstairs, if you turn right, there's a Coop supermarket, and if you turn left, there are restaurants. Within a two-minute walk, you can catch a tram, and it's usually just 3-4 stops to the city center. Basel is a fantastic city for a stopover when traveling in Switzerland. There are many museums and great photo opportunities. You could easily spend two days here.

All well-treated in the minimum details, capable and exceptional rooms, super friendly and available staff at all needs, optimal cleaning, super top fitness room and very well-provided children's game area. One 10 to staff in service ...

Clean and neat. Close to the city center. If the were no road works, there should be a tram stop. But Basel is always under construction. Breakfast is full of options. Room was small but ok for the Swiss price range. Underground parking was very convenient since there are no other options around. Aircon was good enough.

Breakfast is available if requested, but it is very easy to use the fully equipped kitchen which is mostly used quite well by the guests. Access by lift is available. The bunks are quite wide and comfortable and there is lockable storage space. The site is very near to public transport which is convenient. In summer there are eateries and drinking places right next door. There are food shops nearby. Toilets and showers are all good and kept clean.

The Ibis Budget Basel is located about 800 meters from the station but close to tram lines 10 & 11. So it's a simple journey to the hotel. The staff were helpful, offering ideas, advising us on the Basel Card (free public transport and discounts on museum entry), providing us with an umbrella for the rain. The rooms are comfortable but no coffee or tea making facilities. There's not much to do immediately around the hotel but with tram access, you are only minutes from being in the heart of Basel.

Excellent location, close to Basel landmark Zhongqiao. Choose a room with a view of the Rhine River, open the window to see passing vehicles and pedestrians on the bridge. There is also a gingerbread store next to the hotel, which is super convenient for buying souvenirs.
