I made a reservation through Trip.com for 1 night (2 days), but upon arrival the hotel informed me that it was booked as 2 nights (3 days), which would result in additional charges. Later, the hotel told me they would correct it to 1 night (2 days) and that no extra charges would be applied. They also took my card for deposit purposes but assured me that no payment would be made.

The location of the hotel is good, next to the European train station SBB, it is very convenient to travel by taxi and public transportation. The biggest problem is that there is no air-conditioning. It is only the beginning of June, and the outdoor temperature is as high as 28 degrees at noon. There is no air-conditioning indoors, and the sunlight is direct (European latitude is high, and the sun's slope is not large in summer), and the indoor temperature is as high as 34-36 degrees! I couldn't sleep at all. I asked the front desk and said that the temperature is relatively low at night and it will cool down. The room is not ventilated and it won't cool down at all! Only a small electric fan is provided, and I have no sleep all night! When booking a hotel in Europe, you must ask whether there is air conditioning. 80% of hotels in Europe do not have air conditioning, which is unbearable in summer! It was not so clearly visible while making the booking that hotel parking will cost extra CHF25 per night.

Basel was our final stop in Switzerland this year, a border city spanning only 24 square kilometers. Despite its border location, it's very developed and modern.
**Environment:**
Among hotels like Victoria, Mövenpick, Radisson, and Novotel, we chose this 3-star option. It's directly opposite the SBB train station, and the main bus terminal is just 100 meters from the lobby exit. Although it's a transport hub, the area is decent; there are a few homeless people around, but its convenience makes up for it.
**Facilities:**
There's no fitness center, but you can pay to use a partner facility. The lobby bar is alright, not too crowded, with a nice corner view of the street. Coffee runs between 6-7 Swiss francs. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional, and the bathroom is quite spacious, which is great for travelers.
**Cleanliness:**
The common areas, like the lobby and hallways, are well-maintained, and the room was very tidy. You can definitely trust the cleanliness standards of Swiss hotels.
**Service:**
Check-in and check-out were both quick. Our room was ready well in advance, and luggage storage was straightforward. They provide a Basel Card, which offers free use of all city public transport and half-price entry to some museums. I didn't particularly notice any other services.FromPHP 9,049

Convenient location - 5 minutes to the station by bus 30, runs often, stop is a step away. Nearby are the chic Spalentor gates, behind them the shopping space and the center practically begin. To stop bus 50 to the airport, walk about 5 minutes. The staff at the hotel is very friendly, at the reception there are gingerbread, some water, sweets, postcards, booklets, cards. Settled earlier than expected, late check-out without surcharges up to 12, then 50 francs. Dali basel card: free transport, incl. to the airport, and 50% discount for museums. There is also a code for entering the hotel after 22 (or 23, I don’t remember exactly), when there is no one at the reception. The breakfast is excellent, there are 7 types of cheese, cold cuts, vegetables, hot dishes, juices, water, jams, fruits, you can order scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, coffee, etc., on the 5th floor with beautiful views, a small room. The room is cozy, slippers, bathrobes, minibar, many different chandeliers and lamps. Quiet. TV is a cloud of programs, ours are not. The duvets are great, the pillows are so-so. The Ibis Budget Basel is located about 800 meters from the station but close to tram lines 10 & 11. So it's a simple journey to the hotel.
The staff were helpful, offering ideas, advising us on the Basel Card (free public transport and discounts on museum entry), providing us with an umbrella for the rain.
The rooms are comfortable but no coffee or tea making facilities.

First of all, the geographical position is far away. 20 minutes walk from Basel Station, on the other side of the river. Although most of the roads are better, the main attractions: the station, the ancient city and the Art Basel are on the river side, so it is not very convenient. I have a feeling that there is no need to go so far for this hotel
Secondly, hotel decoration. The picture of Xiaohongshu is too beautiful, and the p-graph composition is too heavy. In fact, it is more ordinary, and I live on the fourth floor. The whole aisle feels freshly painted and has a paint smell.

Das Zimmer war modern und geräumig. Das Hotel ist z.Z. im Umbau. Manche Räume z.B. der Eingang/Essbereich sind provisorisch. Das ist in Ordnung, aber für den Zimmerpreis, der aufgerufen wird im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis sportlich, da es nicht wie ein gehobenes Hotel, sondern wie ein Hostel wirkt. Wir konnten unser Fenster auf dem Zimmer nicht öffnen und der Raum war extrem warm und stickig. Wir vermissten auch einen Kühlschrank. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und man erreicht mit der Tram direkt vor dem Hotel in wenigen Stationen das Zentrum. Das Frühstück war extrem hochwertig und sehr zu empfehlen. Das Hotel ist außerdem sehr Kinder- und Hundefreundlich, was uns gut gefallen hat. Optimal war der Garagenparkplatz direkt unter dem Hotel.FromPHP 9,299
