Conveniently located near New Street Station, just about a 10-minute walk away. Close to a market and large shopping malls, making it super easy to stock up on food and do some shopping. The front desk staff were friendly. The room facilities were well-equipped, though it's a shame the kitchen didn't have an oven. Great location, but it can be a bit noisy at night.

After unable to leave Birmingham, We decided to stop at the Clayton again and give it another night from the bad system issues they were having. This was a lot better granted and the floors are very secure having floor locked to your key cards to get access. Breakfast we were earlier down and it paid off. Breakfast was better this time. Only little issue was the bathroom could do with a bit more attention to detail with little bits of little black mold in the more harder to reach areas and red residue in the grouting in the tiles. Apart from that sure I’d sure recommend it for the pricing

We enjoyed are stay , breakfast was included and had a lot of choice and was delicious, also I want to say a massive thank you to Leanne !!!! This lady is such a great person , she really went above and beyond for myself and my Aunti, my Aunti is disabled and had left her crutch on our train from Preston , on arrival we asked if there was anywhere we could buy a replacement but the shop was closed due to it being Sunday , this lady went to her house after her shift and gave us her late husbands walking still to lend for our stay!!  I just want to let this hotel chain know what an amazing and beautiful person they have as an employee.  Thank you once again Leanne .  And we will definitely be back in future .

I recently stayed at your hotel and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay. Upon arrival, I noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the curtains, hair left on the towel/flannel in the bathroom, and marks on the table surfaces. I have attached photographs for reference, as I feel these are basic housekeeping standards that should have been checked prior to a guest arriving. I also experienced multiple issues with food and service during my stay. I ordered a charcuterie board, however the Parma ham and other cured meats appeared dried out, discoloured and no longer fresh. Unfortunately, after eating it, I also felt unwell afterwards, which was particularly concerning. Later, when ordering dinner, I asked for a croque monsieur but the staff member repeatedly did not understand the order, despite me explaining it was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I was eventually advised to order a panini instead. Additionally, I ordered truffle fries but was informed they were unavailable. I agreed to normal fries, however what arrived were heavily seasoned thick-cut chips which were completely different from what I expected and unfortunately not enjoyable. Another issue was the iron provided in the room, which had black residue/staining on it and ended up marking my top, which was very frustrating. As I had booked the stay primarily to relax and enjoy a quiet evening in the room with room service, it was disappointing that the overall experience did not feel comfortable or enjoyable. What disappointed me further was that upon check-out, nobody asked how my stay was or whether everything had been satisfactory, despite the multiple issues experienced throughout my visit. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I do not usually complain, however I felt the overall standard of cleanliness, food quality and service fell below expectations. Kind regards, Karolina

It was generally a good stay. The only two issues I had this time were: 1- The shower drain was almost blocked. The location was great, but unfortunately, the hotel room was not. There was no air conditioning, and the room was quite hot, especially during the summer. The front desk explained that the hotel uses a natural air-cooling system, but unfortunately, it did not help much. The toilet was also separated from the actual shower room by a different door, which was somewhat inconvenient. Lastly, one of the staff members in charge of the breakfast area (Male wearing a suit that checks the breakfast list) was rude and very unwelcoming to guests. This experience made us think twice about whether we would want to come back again. Overall, while the location was great, there are several areas where the hotel could improve, particularly the room temperature and the customer service.

What a gem! Literally direct opposite one of the rear entrances of the grand New Street Station, up the stairs/lift into a little arcade of shops (nail bar/hair salon and luxury watches) and the hotel entrance. The check in lobby is nothing much impressive but the overall building and decor with high ceilings, big staircases and marble surfaces are albeit a bit outdated in tone, still much preferable to us. The room is very spacious and the bathroom with Elemis supplied soap walk-shower and self-standing bathtub is the biggest we’ve ever been into. The hotel bar, restaurant and breakfast area are located on the first floor looking over the New Street pedestrian shopping street and the staff are very good. Spacious Rooms: The rooms are very large, offering plenty of space to unpack and relax. Great Kitchen Amenities: The room is equipped with fantastic amenities, specifically the dishwasher, hob, and microwave, which made the stay very convenient. Amazing Location: Perfectly situated with numerous restaurants, attractions, and public transport links right on the doorstep, plus plenty of convenience stores nearby. Exceptional Staff: The entire team was amazing, from the welcoming reception to the room service staff. Air Conditioning: Having proper AC was a huge bonus and a lifesaver during the hot days. Needs improvement Tiny Washroom: The bathroom is incredibly cramped. It is so small that you have to awkwardly shuffle around just to manage closing the door. Uncomfortable Bed Setup: Instead of an actual double bed, the hotel pushed two single beds together. This created a hollow, sinking gap in the middle of the mattresses, which was quite uncomfortable. Infrequent Housekeeping: We only received room cleaning once during our entire 11-day stay. Even considering it is an aparthotel, the lack of daily or more frequent room service was disappointing for a trip of that length. No In-Room Washing Machine: Despite having a kitchen setup, there was no washing machine inside the room, which would have been very helpful for a longer stay.

We cannot fault the food at all. The dinner and breakfast were both extremely tasty, cooked to perfection and brilliantly presented. The only downfall was on checkout when we were asked to pay for our child's dinner, even though we had booked half board for 2 adults and 1 child (3 guests) but hopefully getting this resolved. I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin Birmingham for one night, mainly because the location was very convenient for an event nearby. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t start well. When my partner arrived first, he noticed the room didn’t seem properly cleaned. We raised this with staff and were moved to another room on the third floor. Although this room felt cleaner, it still wasn’t spotless — the carpet on the stairs down to the bathroom clearly needed vacuuming, and there were two oil radiators switched on that made noise during the night. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and we appreciated the welcome drink vouchers for the bar downstairs. Overall, the stay was okay, but the beginning was disappointing. If we hadn’t had enough time before our New Year’s Eve party, moving rooms would have made us late, which added unnecessary stress.

The apartment was central, clean and presentable. The bed seemed smaller than a double. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were good. The TV was not programmed and we were unable to connect the tv to the internet so it remained unused. We had two main issues during our night stay. One - Continuous Horrendous noise from 11:45pm till early hours of the morning 1:30am ish then for it to start again at 4am. The noise was bottles being put in bins and bins being moved. It sounded like the bottles were being dropped from a height into the bin then the bins being emptied. We had such a poor nights sleep. In the morning we could see that the bins were right up against our windows to the apartment. Two - We eventually dropped off to sleep to be woken up by our apartment door being opened and someone saying Hello..my husband shouted and the person apologised and shut the door. It was very scary and our privacy was disturbed and our sleep, and due to the fact we couldn’t sleep in the night, it was very unpleasant. I did not feel safe. I emailed the company for an explanation but had nil response.

Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa. However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience. There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. USGuest UserThe location was great, but unfortunately, the hotel room was not.

The room is neat, spacious and facilities are good but I feel they could have put water or jug in the room for the guest but overall, I'm satisfied with their service. Hope to visit again soon.

No hot water on arrival this was promptly sorted by staff however they left the room door ajar when the left. Thankfully nothing was stolen as my room was in a corner so no one likely noticed but this was a very bad experience to have. There is building work from 9am onwards this is completed on scaffolding right outside the windows so even though it is only completed in working hours the noise is incredibly excessive. Windows are blurred so unable to see out, also near to a bus stands to often woken up by buses indeling.
