We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Yantian for a summer camp with our child, and unfortunately, a typhoon hit, disrupting our travel plans. We're incredibly grateful for the hotel's thoughtful arrangements. A very capable and handsome gentleman with glasses at the front desk kindly extended our check-out time, allowing us to pack without rushing and giving our child ample time to rest. This really saved us in a pinch. The hotel offers expansive sea views from its high floors, and the rooms are clean and comfortable with complete amenities, making it very family-friendly overall. Even with the extreme weather, the staff were patient, attentive, and responded promptly. Beyond the excellent facilities, the service truly had a warm touch. Our experience was fantastic, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Yantian next time. Highly recommended!

There were some things I liked about Sentosa Hotel, but unfortunately my overall experience was disappointing. The room was very spacious, although a little dated. When we arrived, the room type we had booked was unavailable, so the hotel upgraded us to a better room, which I really appreciated. Our room had a wardrobe and a bathtub, and the view of the city from the bathroom was absolutely amazing. The hotel also has a large swimming pool, which was one of the reasons I chose it. However, one day we went swimming and there were no towels available. You are also not allowed to take the pool towels back to your room. A swimming cap is required, although this is quite common in China, so I don’t consider that a major issue. The room had a stove, which initially seemed very convenient, but there were no pots or other cookware provided, making the stove essentially useless. There was also no washing machine. The internet was another major problem — the connection was extremely poor and sometimes barely worked even with Chinese websites. The most disappointing part of our stay happened on our check-out day. Our confirmed check-out time was 14:00, but the hotel called us early in the morning and told us that we needed to leave the room immediately because of an “emergency situation.” They did not seem concerned that our agreed check-out time was several hours later. I later found out that the supposed emergency was actually related to a meeting/event being held at the hotel, and guests were being asked to leave their rooms early because of it. I found this extremely unprofessional and stressful. After discussing it with the hotel, we eventually reached an agreement that allowed us some time, but this experience significantly affected my rating. The location is also fairly quiet. There is a 7-Eleven nearby, but not much else within the immediate area. I didn’t find any shopping malls or tourist attractions nearby. There is a park, but otherwise there isn’t much to do. On the positive side, the metro station is only around a 7–10 minute walk away, so getting to other parts of Shenzhen is relatively convenient. Overall, the hotel has some strong points: spacious rooms, a large pool, good metro access, and potentially fantastic city views. I was also grateful for the room upgrade. However, the extremely poor internet, lack of basic kitchen equipment, limited surroundings, and especially the way the hotel handled our check-out made the stay much less enjoyable than it could have been.

The room was spacious and bright, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet at night, allowing for a great night's sleep. The staff were friendly and professional; check-in and check-out were both very smooth. The hotel facilities are complete, and the overall environment is clean and tidy, offering great value for money. I would recommend this hotel for both business trips and leisure travel, and I look forward to staying here again.

Lots of young couples checked in here, it felt like a popular 'hot spot'. **Facilities:** Still quite new. **Hygiene:** Decent enough. **Environment:** Decent enough, but the soundproofing is poor. They even provide earplugs. You can pretty much hear what people next door are saying. There are no windows. From the outside, it looks grand, but it's actually only four stories high. **Service:** The front desk was okay, they offered complimentary breakfast. The laundry room was terrible though; no one was ever there to manage it, day or night. I left a note, but nothing was done. Breakfast was so-so, and the staff's attitude was mediocre. They were laughing and chatting with the chef, but when I went to eat, they just coldly asked for my room number.

We had a two-bedroom suite, very comfortable. The beds were large and quite spacious. There was a balcony with a table and chairs. The weather wasn't perfect for swimming, but we walked along the beach, which is nearby. They replenished the water daily, changed the towels, and cleaned the room. We thought we needed hooks for coats and bags in the hallway, and at least a small table in the room for a computer or for the family to have tea. Nearby there's a pizzeria, a fruit market, and an ancient fortress with beautiful streets, goods, and food. Overall, we loved everything, thank you!

The room is quite spacious, and the bedding is excellent. The sheets and pillows are very comfortable, so I slept exceptionally well. Getting a good night's sleep in a hotel is very important, and this is high praise indeed. The hotel's decor is stylish, making you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. Breakfast deserves a special mention; the variety is rich, and the taste is unparalleled. The Cantonese breakfast was delicious, and the egg rolls and eggs Benedict were also very good. The only downside is that if you go late for breakfast, you might have to queue, but there are plenty of seats, so even if there's a line, it moves quickly. The coffee and tea at breakfast are also excellent. Freya, Winky, and Monuca at the front desk are very thoughtful. They genuinely care if you're enjoying your stay and promptly address any issues that arise during check-in. The front desk for check-in is on the 33rd floor with a great view. The executive lounge is a nice place to relax and unwind. Afternoon tea consists of two types of cake and some beverages. Dinner is relatively simple but has everything you need, including a noodle bar, which shows a good effort. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and I would choose this hotel again if I return. However, there are three minor drawbacks I must mention: 1. One side of the hotel faces a large construction site, so the view isn't great. There's not much the hotel can do about this, as it's already well-maintained, but the surrounding environment does detract a bit. Perhaps future stays could compensate for this view deficit. 2. Light leaks from one side of the curtains, which can slightly affect sleep. 3. For such a high-end hotel, the complimentary water was Nongfu Spring with a red cap. While Nongfu Spring is good, I feel an upgrade to the water would be more fitting. Hygene: The cleaning was very detailed and thorough. The cleaning staff were all smiles and greeted me warmly, which put me in a good mood. Service: Whether it was the concierge on the first floor or the staff in the executive lounge/breakfast restaurant, everyone was incredibly friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

My friend and I traveled from HK to Futian Mandarin Oriental to celebrate a birthday. I'd researched several hotels online beforehand and ultimately chose MO, a hotel I hadn't stayed at before. My main reasons were the hotel's reputation for quality and excellent service, as well as its convenient location for shopping, with a mall and many dining options right downstairs. From the moment we stepped out of the car and into the hotel, we could immediately tell it was different from other five-star establishments. The experience, from being greeted upon arrival, having our luggage promptly taken, being escorted to the 78th floor for check-in, and finally shown to our room, was incredibly smooth and warm. By the time we left, at least eight hotel staff members had interacted with us, and every single one was genuinely friendly and kind. This 100% positive interaction rate is something I've rarely encountered over the years. For me, the air conditioning's coolness and quietness, as well as absolute cleanliness and a modern feel, are paramount in a hotel room, and they scored full marks on all counts. (I learned that this hotel has only been open for four years, and I truly hope they can maintain this excellent standard, as it's crucial for guests like us). I'd like to thank the gentleman who checked us in – I've forgotten his name, but he was incredibly thoughtful and proactive in anticipating our needs, making arrangements for us to attend a concert on June 26th. I also want to thank the lovely Victor, who showed us to our room, gave us a detailed introduction to the hotel, and took photos for us. And a special thank you to Brian, the 'Chef Concierge' (Golden Key member), who satisfied our curiosity by explaining the origin and role of the Chinese Golden Key concierges. Besides having a wonderful birthday trip, we also gained a rich experience in human connection. Thank you to everyone at Futian MO. We'll definitely be staying here again! ^.^

Yitian Plaza is downstairs, there's a food street nearby, and a metro station not far away, making transportation convenient. However, the underground parking lot is on B3 of Yitian Plaza and is quite old. On rainy days, there's a bit of an odor... I hope it can be upgraded and renovated in the future.

We stayed at the Intercontinental from August 31st to September 3rd – two adults and children aged 16 and 10. We chose a deluxe room with a garden view (which actually offered views of both the garden and skyscrapers) with two double beds. From the pictures, the beds looked large, but in reality, they were more like 1.5-person beds. The room itself was decent, but upon arrival, we had concerns about the cleanliness. We asked the staff for a cleaner room. They asked us to wait, and given our initial disappointment with the room, the hotel decided to compensate us with an upgraded room. That's when the magic began, as we found ourselves in an apartment! It featured a beautiful living room, a large master bedroom, and another room with two separate beds. There were two bathrooms and three toilets. It was a very spacious and beautiful room; we can't even imagine how much it costs. This upgrade was arranged by a hotel staff member named Dafne. She was so concerned that we were upset and wanted to make our stay more enjoyable. She certainly succeeded, as the room was simply magnificent. Additionally, we were constantly asked if everything was alright and if we were satisfied. The hotel breakfasts were excellent, with everything you could need. Fresh vegetables, fruits, yogurts, omelets, meats – you definitely wouldn't leave hungry. They also served delicious coffee and many fresh juices. The hotel has a fantastic pool and water park; even at 40, you can still enjoy the slides! It was our daughter's birthday, and Dafne helped us order a cake and arrange a lovely presentation during breakfast. Of course, the hotel isn't new, but it has a great atmosphere, is cozy, and the staff tries their absolute best. We really appreciated the attention. I've stayed at this hotel about seven or eight times. It's a decent hotel for families with kids in the Shenzhen area, but the pool is quite small and can get crowded when there are a lot of people. This most recent experience was noticeably not as good as before. We weren't given a room even after 3:00 PM, and despite specifically requesting not to have a room at the very end of the hall, that's exactly what we got. The hotel's problem-solving was both proactive and not so proactive. Proactive in that they responded, but ultimately without a resolution. We waited from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM for a room, which makes me wonder how a five-star hotel can operate this way. Of course, the subsequent handling was decent, but it only came after multiple rounds of negotiation. Interestingly, Trip.com's customer service was more reliable, actively communicating with the hotel and pushing for our room throughout the process. Aside from the service, the hotel's location is exceptional, right by the beach. There's also an iron flower performance in the evening. Other than the facilities starting to show their age, everything else is good. The mini-train and pet park might not be suitable for all families, so perhaps consider not including them in room packages, as some children simply aren't interested.
