I am amazed by this place-YHA Brisbane city-I chose an all girls room and it was amazing, with lockers, clean and money well spent! Location is within walking distance from the Roma station, Roma street park, Victoria bridge, South bank, CBD, walking street, even the Brisbane Botanic Garden and the old parliament house! After checking out you can leave your bag within the day and still use some amenities! I was truly amazed with that and the staff are superb! Will book YHA in other cities as well! Thanks YHA for making my Brisbane trip extra special!

The hotel's location is excellent. The surrounding views and the city skyline are beautiful, both during the day and especially at night. As I had requested a quiet room so I could get enough rest, the hotel staff made every effort to accommodate my request, and I was satisfied with the result. Although a small amount of noise could still be heard in the room, it was minor and easy to overlook. The cleanliness of the hotel was very good, and the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would be happy to stay here again.

I slipped over in the bathroom on the wet and slippery tiles and advised the front counter on my departure. Supplied was 2 towels 2 face washers and a hand towel no bath mat. Travellers be wary of wet and slippery tiles. Subsequently I was 30 seconds late for breakfast and they were not obliging at all and left hungry. Happy with previous stays but have changed my mind now and not recommend this hotel.

When I arrived in my room there was no milk.  On Thursday night I went down to the restaurant for dinner at 7.30 at 8.05 I asked for a coffee only to be told that the coffee machine was closed.  The restaurant was advertised that it closed at 9.00pm. On Saturday morning I paid $35.00 for breakfast and what I got for that was COLD Bacon,COLD Tomato and COLD Mushrooms.  On Saturday night I went to the restaurant for dinner the only soft drink they had was sprite, at least three quarters of the wines on the wine list was not available. I finished my meal at 6.45 pm and asked for a coffee and again was informed that the coffee machine was closed  I went to the reception desk and all I got was a feeble “Sorry” What is happening are you in financial difficulties or is it poor management!

Originally booked a twin double room for me, my wife and our granddaughter as I was working in Brisbane and we wanted a change of scenery for my wife and granddaughter. Poor design not an excuse. I asked if I could have my original room and was told I’d be charged for an upgrade. Told them I’d done them the favour originally so reception said theyd chat to management and get back to me. I was working late shifts and heard nothing back so had to try to sleep in the room again, packing pillows against the door base but light still made it in. There was also stains on the carpet, curtains also let street light in and when doors were closed in other rooms they clanged shut reminding me of a visit to Alcatraz! Little sleep for the second night. I feel sorry for anyone sleeping in that room in the future

My Worst Experience at a W Hotel to Date I have stayed at various W properties, but my recent one-night stay at W Brisbane was easily my most disappointing experience with the brand. For a hotel that prides itself on design and luxury, the functional execution of the room was severely lacking. There were several significant issues that made for a very uncomfortable night: Poor Room Design: The air conditioning is positioned in a way that it blew directly onto my face all night. It was impossible to deflect, and I had to sleep on the other end of the bed. Then I had another issue below. Disruptive Noise: The in-room refrigerator was close the the bed and making distracting noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. Between the mechanical noise and the poorly placed AC, I barely got any rest. Maintenance & Cleanliness: after I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to find a visible hole in the bed sheets. This is not the level of quality control one expects from a five-star establishment. And the bath tub has visible torn and wears. Also the motel level toothbrush. Service: there was no staff at the door helped me and my 70 yo mom with our luggages. I hvae to acknowledge that we arrived quite late but I did expect quality service from a lux hotel. And also no free upgrade offered like my stays with other W. Honestly, I am just glad my stay was only for one night. I expected much better from the W brand and won't be rushing back to this particular location.

The hotel is really centrally located and handy. Staff are warm and friendly. The price is pretty good. The last few times I have stayed here, one of the (only) three lifts has been out of order which makes for longer waiting times and more crowded lifts. The hotel rooms are comfy but a bit tired, but I gather renovations are coming. Would stay again.

The environment is excellent. Hyatt Regency Brisbane boasts an unbeatable location right on Queen Street Mall. The rooms are modern, minimalist, and spotlessly clean, and the rooftop pool bar has an incredible atmosphere, making it the perfect spot in the city to catch the sunset. Mom has just undergone a spinal surgery so the bed, close access to the lift, hotel location, kitchenette, amenities and staff friendliness made our short trip super enjoyable and easy despite of the drizzling weather. Super close to the Queen’s Plaza, Star Casino (and the sky deck), close to St Stephen Cathedral and Mom can even walk to the Brisbane Eye in Southbank. No staff that not helpful and smiley. The location is fantastic, right at the end of the main shopping street. You can literally just walk downstairs and you're there. We were able to walk to several attractions from the hotel. The front desk for check-in is shared by two hotels, which wasn't very clearly indicated, and I was quite anxious while waiting in line. It's a pretty big hotel with lots of guests, and no matter which building you're in, there's always an elevator out of order. It seems like they always have to have one of the three elevators shut down for maintenance.

Brisbane Airport is located by the sea, and it's a 30-minute light rail ride from the city center. The city center itself is built along the Brisbane River. It's not a huge city but quite beautiful. The Stamford Hotel is situated at the tip of a peninsula, right next to the City Botanic Gardens, and about a 700-800 meter walk from the central train station. Most of the main attractions are along the river, making it very convenient for sightseeing. I'd say its location is probably the best. The hotel also maintains high standards, falling somewhere between a Hilton and a Conrad in terms of luxury.

Stayed in an Executive Suite (one-bedroom apartment) on a Friday night for $250. Overall, a solid stay with a few caveats. The layout is excellent. You get a proper separate bathroom, a generous open-plan kitchen and living area, plus a balcony that makes the space feel even larger. The bedroom is also well sized and includes a built-in wardrobe, which is genuinely useful if you’re staying more than a night or travelling for business. Location is a real strength. You’re right in the CBD, making it easy to walk to restaurants, offices, and the river precinct. For a Brisbane city stay, convenience is hard to fault. Where the property slips slightly is in the feel of the fixtures and finishes. They’re not old or worn out, but they already feel a bit dated stylistically. It gives the apartment a slightly tired vibe despite being perfectly functional and clean. Value wise, $250 on a Friday night for this amount of space and a central location is reasonable

This hostel has a great location, but I had a truly disappointing experience. What happened was that groceries I had bought were thrown away. They usually store items in the fridge on the first floor before discarding them, but when I asked at the reception, the staff member acted annoyed, saying they didn't know anything, and didn't apologize at all for throwing away my food without permission. Additionally, there's no freezer, so if you're planning to stay here next time, it might be good to keep in mind that you can't store frozen food, your groceries might be thrown away without your permission, and you might not receive an apology. Furthermore, the toilets at this hostel were clearly not cleaned and smelled terrible from the start. I also had an experience where the curtain on my own bed was opened without my permission, which was not a good experience. If you're paying the same amount to stay in the city, you might be more satisfied elsewhere. Of course, not everyone will have the same experience; there are friendly and polite reception staff members. However, my experience is also a fact.

The name on the exterior wall of the hotel doesn't match the name on the main entrance. The room layout was like a labyrinth, making me a little dizzy trying to navigate it. The hotel is located next to Brisbane City Hall, just 600 meters from Central Station, an easy walk even with luggage. It's surrounded by markets and restaurants. I successfully found a Chinese restaurant for rice noodles thanks to the directions given by the front desk staff, which I really appreciated. The room was small, and the cleanliness was just okay. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, but the hotel had a strong odor and poor air circulation. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great. There were paid snacks in the fridge and on the counter. Slippers and toothbrushes were not provided. The main highlight is the excellent location. For four people, taking a taxi from here to the international terminal was over 10 AUD cheaper than taking the train, and we didn't even have to walk from the hotel entrance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall stay at Brisbane Marriott We recently stayed at the Brisbane Marriott  for my daughters 21st and were genuinely impressed by how lovely the hotel is and how amazing the staff were. The warm, welcoming service started from the moment we arrived at valet parking and continued throughout our stay. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and did their best to assist us. The rooms themselves were nice and comfortable, although we did notice some wear and tear, particularly with the bathroom and bedroom cabinetry which was scratched and broken. The beds also felt quite small for two adults and made sleeping a little squishy. Our biggest concern, however, was the air-conditioning. When we first walked into the room it was set at 18 degrees, which we thought would be perfect—especially with four girls getting ready, expecting a cool room so our makeup wouldn’t melt. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. The room felt like a hot box from the start. The staff were fantastic and came to check and reset the system twice, but by the time we returned at 1am, it was still extremely hot. It was uncomfortable enough that one of our group decided to go home because she couldn’t sleep in the heat. At that hour, there was also no one at the front desk to seek further assistance from. We did mention this at checkout, as we genuinely expected that a well-known, reputable hotel like the Marriott would not have such an issue with air-conditioning. It was disappointing, as everything else—from the service to the overall atmosphere—was lovely. Massive shout out to the male staff member who collected our bags both at arrival and departure (sorry wasn’t able to recall you name) you are a great asset to the hotel!! With improvement to the room cooling, this would have been a fantastic stay. The staff truly are the highlight of the hotel.

The service is simply not too disgusting! I went to check in, and I had to charge a deposit of $100. I didn’t pay much attention. When I swiped the card, I found that they had swiped nearly $500. I asked if my room had been prepaid. Will retreat tomorrow! It doesn't matter so much, I just said very harshly, isn't this your problem? She said, yes yes, I'll give you a drink coupon! It's really funny. I don't want to say, she probably fooled it. Then there is no drinking water in the room. When I checked in, I didn't tell us to take the pot to the elevator. We thought that there was no water, so we took the drink voucher and went to the bar below to get a drink, but when we heard that you wanted to use the drink voucher, we said we were closed. We said that there was no water in the room, so we told us to fetch water by ourselves! What’s even more irritating is the breakfast, we ordered breakfast included, because it is a single breakfast, so a person can only order one drink and one breakfast! I added a few hundred yuan more, just two stuttering! If you want something else, you have to add money! An internet celebrity hotel is an internet celebrity hotel, and it's useless except to take photos of them! Really believe in evil and live here! The breakfast buffet at W is delicious!

The location is fantastic! It's very close to the train station, bus station, and ferry terminal, and just a 3-minute walk to South Bank Park. Service: I really have to complain about the service. I booked for four nights, and on one of those days, the room wasn't cleaned, even after I specifically reminded the front desk. The cleaning generally was quite sloppy; tea-stained cups weren't replaced, with tea stains clearly visible, and the bathroom faucet was covered in water marks. We were quite surprised to find such service and hygiene standards in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is à la carte with limited portions, one Western-style breakfast per person, which isn't really suitable for Chinese palates. We asked the hotel if we could cancel breakfast for the last two days, and they replied that it wasn't an issue for the hotel, but since we booked online, we'd need to coordinate with the third-party booking site. Although Trip.com actively tried to mediate, the hotel still refused. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Chinese travelers.

The environment here is absolutely impeccable, I must say. The lobby, rooms, pool, and rooftop restaurant are all beautifully decorated. As for the facilities, they're also excellent. Being a new hotel, everything is very modern. However, the bathroom has one major drawback: there's nowhere to put your phone if you're in the toilet area. Cleanliness is very good. Rooms are only cleaned if you notify the front desk daily, and that 'clean room' light doesn't seem to do much. Service, though, was just mediocre. The staff at the rooftop restaurant, in particular, had a terrible attitude, acting completely uninterested. The front desk staff were quite good at check-in, but poor communication during shift changes led to a significant amount of money being unjustly charged to my credit card. I only discovered this because I noticed the unreasonable charges in time. It took involving Trip.com and my bank to resolve it, especially since the charges happened 3 days after I had already left the hotel, with no email notification whatsoever. If I hadn't been vigilant, I wouldn't have known about these losses, as they only appear on the statement – this is truly awful. There's even one charge I'm still unclear about, but it's too late to investigate further. So, when staying at this hotel, you absolutely need to keep a close eye on your bill! This whole ordeal even affected my subsequent vacation, as I spent every day trying to sort this out!

Hhiahia007Remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and disposable slippers, but other amenities are provided. The balcony is nice, and while the bedroom isn't huge, the living room is quite spacious. The bathroom has two entry points and a bathtub, which is great for a soak. Both the room and living room air conditioning units work really well. The front desk service was good, but being rushed to check out by the cleaning staff wasn't a great experience. Overall, it's still excellent value for money, and the pool was open.

The hotel offers a free bus service right from its doorstep to the city center. I believe I was the first guest to stay in my room after its renovation, and I even received a complimentary bottle of red wine! 💕 Breakfast was simple, but since the city is so close, I don't think it's really necessary. You can even walk to the city center. Just go through the park in front of the hotel, then head down the hill. In about 15 minutes, you'll reach City Hall. It's a straightforward route, so you won't get lost. I had a pancake breakfast at the restaurant in City Hall. The amenities were plentiful, and the shower worked perfectly. Plus, the sunset view from my room was absolutely stunning, allowing me to relax completely, both body and mind. There's also a small chapel right next to the hotel ⛪️

The service is professional and efficient. It's a highly cost-effective choice, whether you're traveling for business or leisure.

Here's a breakdown of my experience: 1. **Location:** Fantastic! It's within walking distance to the CBD and Central Station (about a 5-minute stroll), and close to the free City Loop bus. If you're driving, there's free parking, but spots are limited, so late arrivals often have to park temporarily on the street. 2. **Facilities & Experience:** This is a 3.5-star budget-friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, with some even having balconies. The bedding is comfortable, the free WiFi is stable, and there's a 24-hour front desk. The downsides are that some bathrooms are a bit dated, and street-facing rooms can get some traffic noise. 3. **Service:** The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Luggage storage was smooth, and security felt adequate. 4. **Value for Money:** The price is very reasonable for Brisbane city. It's a great option for business travelers, budget-conscious tourists, and families on a road trip.

We are a family of 7, and we needed a place to stay for one night in Brisbane. Airport Motel Brisbane had just the right setup for us. One room for our 5 kids, and one room for my wife and I. The rooms were clean and inviting, and good evidence of recent remodel. Location made it very convenient to walk to the City Cat ferry in order to explore Brisbane for the afternoon. Customer service allowed us to check in early with our airport luggage, which was super helpful.

Arriving after 5pm on a Thursday, I followed the explicit directions provided by Ascot management. There was a short walk (150 meters at most) to my room but the directions provided ensured that I was in my room in quick order. The fellow on the desk was able to assist with directions to fine dining close by and in the morning assisted again with directions to the train getting me to the airport easily on time. It's a well kept, conveniently located accommodation. I'll stay again next time in Brisbane.
