My husband booked a two night stay at Painter's lodge for my birthday. Apparently the lodge is under new management and just opened 2 days before our stay. This lodge must have been quite the hotel in its day. It needs a lot of work and with love and care I think it will reach its original beauty.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant and bar were not up and running but we were offered a continental breakfast of yogurt, fruit, granola bars and juice.
The location was perfect and the decor was lovely. It felt like time had been turned back to a wonderful era. Lots of history displayed on the walls.

The apartment hotel run by the Korean couple is super clean and has first-class service. The hotel is right by the river and the scenery is great, especially sitting on the huge balcony and drinking coffee is really a treat. On the first afternoon of our stay, I saw a black bear on the balcony. I thought there should be bears because there are many fish in the river. The resort and the room we had were soo Beautiful, we really enjoyed our one day here! Amazing view on the golf court, a big room and bathroom and everything was well decorated, very modern. My husband booked a two night stay at Painter's lodge for my birthday. Apparently the lodge is under new management and just opened 2 days before our stay. This lodge must have been quite the hotel in its day. It needs a lot of work and with love and care I think it will reach its original beauty.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant and bar were not up and running but we were offered a continental breakfast of yogurt, fruit, granola bars and juice.
The location was perfect and the decor was lovely. It felt like time had been turned back to a wonderful era. Lots of history displayed on the walls.

The apartment hotel run by the Korean couple is super clean and has first-class service. The hotel is right by the river and the scenery is great, especially sitting on the huge balcony and drinking coffee is really a treat. On the first afternoon of our stay, I saw a black bear on the balcony. I thought there should be bears because there are many fish in the river. The resort and the room we had were soo Beautiful, we really enjoyed our one day here! Amazing view on the golf court, a big room and bathroom and everything was well decorated, very modern. Also, if you’re a light sleeper, do not worry, it is very well soundproofed. Anyway, everything was perfect so 10/10, will recommend!

My family of four with children has some business to do in Campbell River, so there are some inconveniences with the one-day reservation facility, but overall it's good.
