The location of the hotel is really good, right in the center of the city and convenient to go everywhere. The rooms arranged by the hotel are also annexes, and the bathroom should be renovated and clean. The room was very large and had 2 beds. Breakfast is continental breakfast, hot only boiled eggs, pan cake and tea / coffee. There are slices of ham and salami. There are many types of bread, such as yogurt and fruit. Breakfast is included in the room rate, so don't expect too much.

It takes about ten minutes to walk from Galway Railway Station. It is not in the center and the location is a bit remote. But the room is big enough and the bed is very big. However, it is not cleaned every day and you have to stand in the bathtub to take a shower, which is not very convenient. Convenient, overall satisfied!

This is my terrible experience during my Ireland trip. No aircondition, double lock out of order, iron doesnt work When we reported those issues to reception, no fixing, no room change arranged. 10mins later, they sent me an iron 😔 As viewed, the hotel lobby is nice & good beakfast. Clean private room and bathroom, thankfully there was a standing fan in the room to beat the sunny summer heat (unusual for Galway). The issue we did have though was not receiving any check-in details prior to arriving in the evening. While trying to check in, a few groups managed to check in - having received earlier that day an email from the accommodation. For whatever reason, we didn't get ours. After a number of messages/calls and seeking assistance from the hotel across the road, we managed to finally receive comms from the accommodation in order to gain entry. While the individual from Madison House was adamant they sent the email, they weren't able to provide proof of this upon request...

This hostel exceeded expectations, for me. The rooms had comfy beds, large lockers and air-con. The free breakfast was delicious and home made and they even do family dinner each night which is great value and a fun way to meet people. The bathrooms were basic but functional and clean and I didn't have to wait for a shower. The pub downstairs was lively and good value. I would suggest bringing ear plugs though as the live music goes on quite late some nights so if you want to sleep you'll need them.

We were given a beautiful room  over looking the Circle of Life garden and the sea further on. See photo. Noise from jacuzzi below was bothersome in the morning and I had requested a quiet room, which it was apart from the engines bubbling below. Service in restaurant was incredibly slow for breakfast. Breakfast offering was good; not much pastry wise, but lots of fruits, gorgeous cheese, avocados even, good quality Oj. But the Coffee was sludge and undrinkable. Though the View over Galway bay is beyond compare. Room was comfortable though dated but very clean except at one point in the shower I looked down to see a chunk of long black hair stuck to my foot… 2000% not mine. That was pretty gross. It must have been sitting in the drain as I’d have noticed before getting in. Cockroaches in the shower are a more welcome site than that.  Bathroom is modern and shower had good power. Bed was soft but comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Pool is small, sauna is great. Pool not too clean/ Two discarded plasters on the side.  Location is unbeatable.

Checked in to the hotel on 1st day of 2020, staffs were nice and friendly, however there are still some pros and cons for this hotel. The hotel was quite far from the city Centre it takes approximately 20 Minutes of walk, for those who doesnt want to walk may take a bus which will take u around 5 minutes for 2 euros. However, amenities are good it does provides what a hotel is supposed to give, room was big and comfy the bed and pillow makes me don’t wanna get off the bed. MY OPINION, THIS IS THE BEST HOSTEL IN GALWAY, it’s cheap, but the service? Bro 10000/10 amazing, they’re all friendly and so helpful. They change the bed sheets every checkout, compare to other hostel is so disgusting that we need to sleep on the same bed sheets like person before us, food so fresh! I got spoiled milk on the other hostel, ngl I have stomach ache. DAWSON IS Very very recommended! Go check out, and explore Galway!
