Downtown Honolulu Honolulu|2.14km from city center
Connected, quietly magnetic, and culturally alive, Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa offers a refreshingly modern take on island lifestyle, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary design. Located between the creative corridors of Kakaʻako, the shoreline, and the Shops of Ala Moana, this newly opened dual hotel and residence invites travelers to experience the soul of Hawai‘i in a way that feels both grounded and elevated.Inspired by the spirit of Koʻa—sacred coral sanctuaries where life once flourished along these very shores—the hotel has been thoughtfully layered as a modern refuge. Like coral gathering life from the sea, Renaissance Honolulu draws you in with moments of stillness, renewal, and connection with panoramic views from the 8th-floor Sky Deck and outdoor pools, the rejuvenating NAMI Spa, Sera by the award-winning DB Restaurant Group, or the curated art by Sig Zane and Hiroshi Sugimoto—each piece rooted in the cultural rhythm and elemental beauty of the islands.Whether in a classically styled or a residentially appointed room, your stay is designed to feel like a return to something deeper; a sanctuary reborn, and unmistakably Hawai‘i.

Loved this hotel. Service was great, rooms were clean, excellent location - came here to celebrate my birthday and this stay made it so memorable. If there was any negative and this is really nit-picking….the bathroom was a bit small. Apart from that, couldn’t fault it. So, mahalo Alohilani, we loved you. ❤️FromMXN5,914

This location is the best. 1 block from the beach, within walking distance to anything you want in Waikiki. The lobby is an open, grand lobby. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!FromMXN3,391

I have no complaints at all - this might be the perfect resort at this price point.
Check-in was smooth, the rooms are excellent (albeit maybe a bit on the small side for three persons, and we did miss not having a barhtub), the view excellent (description said “ocean view” and it was better than expected, even from the Pacific Tower), restaurants both great.
The location is perfect, just a few min walk from the Royal Hawaiian Center; and the hotel has its own /small/ beach with really a good view of the sunset.
Big shoutout to the very friendly staff at Monkeypod Kitchen as well as the poolside Towel Hut!

We had a very nice stay at Hotel La Croix, it is walking distance to the beach. When we first got there, we had asked if we possibly could get a room with a view and was initially told our room initially assigned is on the lower level and has construction view. Manager offered to upgrade us for a fee to a higher floor room. It has a very nice view of the beach but being that the room has 2 windows, the other side is still a construction view. Beds are comfortable and room has everything we need. Because of the upgrade, we had received access to the Monkey pod room which provided free bottled water, canned drinks and snacks. Overall we had a pleasant stay there. Didn't get to enjoy the pool, but it's also nice that the hotel has ABC store right downstairs and free coffee in the morning in the lobby. FromMXN1,930

Except that the price is a bit expensive, everything else is satisfactory! Since it is a timeshare vacation club hotel, the suites basically come with a kitchen and all Western cooking utensils, everything you need! There is also a washing machine and dryer. The seaside environment is beautiful, the climate is pleasant, and the scenery is everywhere. The hotel faces its own lagoon (lagoon), which is very comfortable for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling (the sea water is a bit cold now, so you need a little courage when you first go into the sea! It will be fine in a while!). The three outdoor swimming pools are suitable for children to the elderly to play and swim, and are equipped with hot water massage pools and saunas (dry steam, wet steam). In short, this hotel is very suitable for couples, couples, second and third generations to travel together! In addition, there is a difference between sea view rooms and mountain view rooms, but they can also be balanced by spending more time outdoors. It is recommended that friends who have been to Waikiki Beach in Honolulu give this place a try, you will definitely have a different feeling!FromMXN14,216

Waikiki Honolulu|5.02km from city center
I chose the hotel because of its location, so this hotel was the best for me!
The lobby and rooms are always clean.
The room has a coffee and tea machine that can be brewed with the push of a button, and a refrigerator. The tea was delicious.
Amenities include towels, a water bottle (!), shampoo, conditioner, body gel, body lotion, and solid soap. There are no toothbrushes, brushes, or other things that you would expect to find in a hotel.
The shower is a rain shower type, and the water pressure is quite weak, so you may have a hard time after going into the sea...
(The hair dryer was surprisingly powerful for a wall-mounted type!)
But the view is so amazing that it doesn't matter.
I originally booked a partial ocean view room, but they offered to upgrade to another room depending on availability on the day. The second photo is the view from the 10th floor, and the third photo is the view from the lanai on the 4th floor.
Is it the stage by the sea below the hotel? There was a hula show every morning or evening, and you could watch it from the lanai or go right downstairs to watch it. The location was really great.
By showing your room key, you can enter the Bishop Museum and the Honolulu Museum of Art for free, and the in-room Wi-Fi connection was absolutely problem-free. I was very satisfied!!FromMXN3,053

Waikiki Honolulu|3.95km from city center
The Ritz-Carlton Waikiki, Hawaii, is classified as a five-star hotel on Ctrip. The suite is over 60 square meters and costs 6,800 yuan, excluding breakfast. In addition to its good location, the hotel's lobby facilities, decoration level, and service staff quality are only three stars of Japanese hotels. We booked a sea-facing suite, and the bed and sofa bed were surprisingly soft. We called the guest room three times on the third night, and each time a different person came to see it and said that it would be solved immediately, but they never came back. After another call, two male waiters finally came together to turn the big mattress over and turned the back up, and they felt that it was normal in hardness and softness. We continued to wait for them to solve the problem of the soft sofa bed. The two male waiters said they would come back immediately, but they were nowhere to be seen. Until a female housekeeper came to check and told her that we were still waiting for the problem to be solved, she also promised to come back but never came back. I had no choice but to call the front desk again and a male waiter came. He left for another ten minutes and came back, saying that I could put the other half of the mattress of the big bed (many double beds abroad are made of two single mattresses covered with a large mattress cover to prevent turning over and affecting each other) on the sofa bed with the hard side facing up. In the end, I had no choice but to do this. The room facilities were very simple, at most three-star level. The restaurant breakfast was a mixture of various foods topped with some local sauce, and it always tasted the same. A breakfast order for two people plus a 20% tip was 60 or 70 US dollars; a Chinese meal in the hotel restaurant, ordering a few plates plus a tip, was 160 US dollars, and the taste was similar. I just stayed in a five-star hotel in Japan and then transferred to ANA business class to fly to Hawaii. The difference between the hotel level and service is really not a little bit. The biggest failure of this trip was choosing this so-called five-star hotel. There will be no next time.FromMXN15,959

This hotel is a very good place to stay if you’re not driving. You may or may not have a parking spot on their lot. Both nights we were there, we had to park on another lot. It wasn’t too far but when you walk with a cane due to bad knees, that’s not good.
Our rented car was a Tesla. One of the reasons I booked there is because trip.com listed ev charger on the hotel amenities list. They DO NOT have an ev charger at this hotel. We had to go to another hotel to charge our car. We had a stressful first night worrying about where to find a fast charging station.
Other than that, I do recommend this hotel. Staff was professional and helpful. Room was very nice and very clean.FromMXN3,335

For our recent trip to Hawaii, we chose the Poolside Suite at Wayfinder Waikiki — and it was such a great choice.
The room was spacious, beautifully decorated in a tropical, laid-back style, and had direct access to the pool right from the terrace. It honestly felt like our own private villa!
The pool area is small but super stylish and peaceful — perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. ☕️
The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the whole vibe of the hotel felt very local and welcoming.
One thing to note: it’s a little bit of a walk from the main strip of Waikiki, but that also means it’s quieter and more relaxing.
If you’re looking to enjoy both the beach and a cool hotel experience, this is a great place to stay!FromMXN4,479

It was my first time in Hawaii (the last time was 25 years ago), so I was a bit worried, but it was the best choice.
Good points
1. Free breakfast and evening cocktail service
2. Location: Although it's not oceanfront, it's close to the beach. The trolley, which you can ride for free with a JCB card, and the Rakuten Lounge are within walking distance. The location is much better than I expected
3. Separate living room and bedroom, which is great for families with children
Nothing disappointing
The price itself is certainly not cheap, but with prices in Waikiki rising as a whole, it is relatively inexpensive and has high added value.
The facilities and cleanliness are also up to personal perception...Before COVID-19, I went on road trips to the US, and after COVID-19, I mainly traveled to Southeast Asia, so I was very satisfied with it.
I would like to stay again.FromMXN4,010

Living here doesn't feel like a vacation. The room is not special, ordinary, and small. Bringing two suitcases to live here almost takes up the space. It is not recommended. The advantages are cleanliness and quiet environment, but the room is too small, and the small refrigerator is very noisy when it is running. The view of Waikiki is the view of the parking building opposite.
Self parking and valet parking have the same price, and the parking building is very large.

This was my second stay there after a 8-year hiatus.
Perhaps due to the influence of the SDGs, the amenities had been significantly reduced. There were only toothbrushes and mouthwash, and hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided in the room.
What's more, the mouthwash had its cap open before I even used it, so I was afraid to use it.
For now, all the food, drinks, and souvenirs were very expensive at Aura prices...

Stayed one night since I was visiting Oahu to eat at some new restaurants. The price was budget friendly and the location was perfect since it’s right across the street from the International Marketplace.
Room was clean and spacious but it was because I got the ADA one. Only complaint about the room was the sound of an ice machine or some kind of faucet every so often by the headboard of the bed. There must be something across the wall from it since it is a corner room and no adjacent neighboring rooms.
Overall though I would go back largely for the location. The hallways are a bit trippy if not creepy in a cool way.FromMXN2,127

The room of 5,000 yuan a night didn't even have a welcome fruit plate. I stayed for four nights. On the last night, the landline in the room kept ringing, and it rang six or seven times. People were stupid once in an hour. I didn't sleep well with my child. At six o'clock in the morning, I went to the front desk to find someone to argue. My English was not very good, so I asked the guide for help me and the front desk theory. I asked for a free late check-out and didn't sleep well. The hotel agreed to check-out until 6:00 p.m. Compared with other hotels, this is a better hotel in Oahu. Overall, I can only give 6 points. Maybe my requirements are too high. The service attitude of living in Bulgali hotels at this price in China is still very different. There will be a lot of gifts.FromMXN14,301

The room itself is OK, the air-conditioning is sufficient, but outside the window is the direction of the hotel door, there may be any exhaust fan, especially hot. Breakfast is casual, there are many people, but there is almost no choice, there are cupcakes, milk is cold, fortunately I brought hot water, drinks did not drink. The hotel is located in the middle lane of 2 nearest main road parallel to the seaside so want to be quieter. Check out time forgets 11 or 12 o'clockFromMXN2,495

It was a room with a view of the diamond head and the sea.
I was a little worried about the height because I wanted a clear view of the sea, but I was satisfied with the Lanai overlooking the two without any problems.
It is old as a whole, the bathtub is old, and it takes time to get hot water.FromMXN2,623

First of all, I want to praise Ctrip's customer service. On the day of check-in, the hotel said that the order had not been received. I contacted Ctrip's customer service and it was resolved within 30 minutes. It should have been early morning in China at that time. I really appreciate the speed of the customer service.
The hotel is relatively new, and the sea view room I booked has a nice view. Then the front desk is still very friendly, and any problems can be solved quickly. The flight arrived in the morning local time, but I was checked in immediately, and they took the initiative to help me accumulate Marriott points.
The biggest problem is housekeeping. On the day of check-in, I felt that the sheets were not new, and I could see a little shoe print and hair at the end of the bed. But I was too tired that day and didn't care. The next day when I was going to take a bath, I found that the wall of the bathtub was covered with mud, and it was obvious that it had not been wiped.
When the cleaning lady came in, I asked to change the sheets and wipe the bathtub. The old lady told me that I had to apply to the front desk to change the sheets. So when I went out, I told the front desk about the sheets and bathtub again, but the front desk's response was obviously that the cleaners should change the sheets automatically. . . Then when I came back at night, I found that the sheets had been changed, but the bathtub was still not cleaned!!! Maybe because I wiped it a little the night before, the cleaner thought it was clean. But when I returned to the room, I found that the bathtub was still full of my hair that I had lost that morning. I left a $5 tip. But to be honest, the room you gave me was not clean, so why should I get more tips?
Other minor issues were that the shower water pressure was not good. And maybe because of environmental protection, there was no mineral water in the room, and there were no other supplies except two cotton pads. But you can call the front desk to ask for bathrobes and slippers for free.
The hotel has been open for less than a year, and the maintenance feels average. At best, it is a business hotel. If you are on vacation, apart from the problem of traffic jams, it is recommended to stay in Waikiki.FromMXN4,596

The service attitude of the hotel is so good. The room I was given was on the second floor, close to the Pacific Ocean, but it was blocked by the hotel platform, so I couldn't see anything. Later, I was upgraded to a pool view for free, and I could see part of the sea view and mountain view.FromMXN15,263

After almost a decade, I found myself back on Oahu and checking into the Hilton once more. This time, I was very fortunate to encounter a Chinese-speaking front desk agent who enabled us to check in early, a little after 1 PM. We also upgraded to the Tapa Tower for an additional $30 per day. Upon checking in, I realized it was the same tower I'd stayed in years ago. It's only slightly set back from the Rainbow Tower but is significantly more affordable, and elevator wait times were brief, usually under a minute. A big thank you to that Chinese-speaking front desk agent, who clearly outlined the room options and availability across the different towers. Just a friendly reminder: make sure to sign up for a free Hilton Honors membership; otherwise, check-in is not until 4 PM!
However, not all staff members embodied the aloha spirit. Specifically, there was an older, somewhat heavy-set male baggage handler who was incredibly rude and dismissive, with a perpetually grumpy expression. He was the sole reason for any negative impression and instantly put a damper on our mood right after checking in.FromMXN6,339

We stayed at the one of the Historic Banyan King Room with City View for 4 nights, room was conveniently located in the main building, doesn’t come with a balcony, but has 2 windows. It gets noisy sometimes at night even though we stayed on the 4th floor. The resort also offers a list of cultural and wellness activities for booking, this is where the resort fee goes to, so make sure you book some of these activities if time permits. Overall we liked the hotel as it’s at the center of Waikiki and has direct access to the beach, several great restaurants and you can also pre-order Honolulu Coffee for pick-up at the hotel location.FromMXN10,613

The room was comfortable and spacious, with a balcony overlooking a small garden downstairs and huge fish in the pond! The front desk staff were very welcoming and gave us a corner room with an L-shaped balcony, offering views in two directions. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right on Waikiki's main shopping street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. We had a bit of a wait during check-in, but it was worth it as we ended up with an ocean-view room on the top floor. The views were expansive and the ocean scenery was absolutely stunning! Even more surprisingly, when I woke up the next morning and opened the window, I saw a rainbow – very lucky indeed!FromMXN10,756

Overall, had a nice stay and can recommend it! The room was just the right size, really nice bed and fairly well equipped. Would've liked some additional amenities and a kettle but got it sent up to the room after a quick request to the front desk.
The immediate vicinity of the hotel has what you might want, a bunch of supermarkets and restaurants and isn't too noisy.
Would've been a perfect stay if it wasn't for the construction ground blocking the view to the ocean (no bigger issue with noise, in case someone would be concerned).
Oh, also the gym present on the premises was much more well equipped than I would've expected and should be enough for the typical gym rat to flex a little bit before going to the beach(not enough for a serious session ofc).FromMXN4,279

The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time.
The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea.FromMXN5,702

|5.33km from city centerI requested two beds when booking, but when I checked in, I was told that the hotel received a large bed. The front desk first said that I could upgrade to a room with two beds for an additional fee, and then said that I might be able to coordinate a twin room if I waited. Although I missed the time to watch the sunset at the beach, the problem was finally solved, and I appreciated the service of the front desk. In the future, when booking overseas hotels, I think I should write in English directly to avoid translation errors. The hotel is in a good location with convenient transportation. There are reminders to keep quiet everywhere, and it is really quiet. The self-service laundry service is very necessary for people who play in the sea every day.

|5.02km from city centerThis location is the best. Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

|4.29km from city centerLiving here doesn't feel like a vacation.
If you drive here, you have to go through a lot of traffic lights before getting on the highway.

|27.69km from city centerThis was my second stay there after a 8-year hiatus.
However, the kids had a great time, so I'd like to go again.
