Room clean but very small. Friendly service. As people over 70, we did not feel at ease. On the first day, there was a pool party at the swimming pool, and we didn't feel inclined to go to the pool. (Saturday) On the day of departure, Sunday, we were able to use the pool after checking out. However, 80% of the sunbeds by the pool were reserved. The music volume is between 80 and 118 decibels. Around 10:30 PM, there was also a noise disturbance. Something was done about this after a phone call. In short: Nice place for young people, but they won't see me here again…

Superb facilities and location. Rooms exceptional and housekeeping staff great! A workforce (and teams) of two halves - some friendly and helpful, others rude and dismissive of guests - equally felt as if some staff were working harder than others and a lot of ‘standing around’ by the work shy crew members pretending to be busy doing very little. Could be an amazing experience if service (and staff training) was consistent.

Stayed for two nights room only. I really liked the design of the hotel, artwork and facilities. The pool area is really nice and they have their own sun beds on Miami Beach which are complementary for hotel guests. Hotel is about 1 street back from the beach but still a wonderful location. The room was comfortable without being spectacular, everything worked and it was a decent size. Rooms are not as interestingly designed as the rest of the hotel. All staff I talked to were very nice and helpful but at both checkin and checkout there were long lines to speak to someone. We waited over 20 mins to start the checkin process. Overall I would be happy to stay at The Gates Hotel again.

Great location. In walking distance from South Beach (2 blocks). Close enough to the beach but far enough not to hear the evening / night life which can be loud. Hotel is lovely and clean with very welcoming polite staff. ready to help. Only thing is the swimming pool isn't vey inviting. It's a very very small pool for the size of the hotel. You also have to walk through the bar/restaurant of the hotel to access it. There were quite a lot of people having drinks around the pool when we went, which made it even less attractive. It's more a feature rather than something you use. Overall great stay.

perfect location to walk to everywhere. pool & beach area are worth the price alone. poolside service & food was good. some rooms are updated and some are not. we had 2 rooms, one 2 bed updated room that was nice but the pipes made a noise every time the water was turned on. another king bed small suite that was not updated. I enjoyed this room as it had a walk in closet, kitchenette, separate sitting area & partial ocean view. the kitchenette could of had a microwave, would of made it better. overall great stay and would recommend and stay again!

This was my third stay at Eden Roc, fantastic hotel – However, my third stay has shifted my thoughts. The bedsheets had a stain on them and my room was left open by housekeeping (thankfully nothing was taken, I guess no-one entered but this is a huge concern) – I was told to take this up with management and that I’d be offered compensation for a future stay (although when calling the front desk / eden roc number it says they’re not available and only connects you with off-site staff…) Very disappointed as the previous stays were fantastic.

We also used the private beach! Please note that service to both the pool and beach ends at 5pm. It was great that there were refillable bottles in the room and water could be refilled anywhere in the hotel! It's more eco-friendly than plastic bottles. We upgraded to a spacious junior suite, which was a great choice! Our family of four had plenty of room to spare. The bathroom was spacious, with a separate shower and chair. The amenities also had a nice scent. It was easily accessible from the airport, and we arrived in about 15 minutes by Uber for about 3,500 yen! From our room, we could see the neighboring tower apartment building and the beach.

THIS LOCATION is so perfect some don’t realize it. That’s fine with me. I will always be able to book. When you come to the beach it’s for drinking and partying probably. This is a great resting stay for the keep it moving type of person. The front desk are really nice ladies if you get to know them. They are 50% of my return they been doing this a long time and are real people with with problems too. Хороший отель, но дороговато. Помимо проживания ещё взимают плату - налог на проживание в Майями, закладывайте это в бюджет, за 4 дня с меня удержали 200$. В номерах чисто, но мебель старая, двери шкафа и ванной были липкие, неприятно к ним прикасаться, держала их открытыми. Кровать очень высокая, впервые такую высокую вижу, но очень просторная и очень удобная. Наволочки невкусно пахли, какой-то пылью, из-за этого на волосах после сна оставался так же неприятный запах. Холл-бои очень приветливые, помогли с багажом, улыбчивые. Бассейн хороший, вода чистая, но кажется он не подогреваемый, в ноябре прохладно было купаться в нем. Пляж частный, но не огорожена территория пляжа , а так он широкий, песок белоснежный. Лежаки и полотенца-бесплатно. У бассейна есть бар, так же на пляже сотрудники отеля разносят напитки и еду по меню. В целом рекомендую.

The glass door is poorly soundproofed, the outdoor bar is noisy until midnight, and the pool starts to be cleaned at 7am. How can you expect people to sleep well? I used the old faucet for two days, but I still couldn't tell which direction to turn to get hot water. The winding maze-like stairs made me go up and down the stairs the wrong way after two days. Recommended for people who are interested in archeology.

Very noisy (especially if you are facing the street), matresses were squeaky and bathroom is beyond small. If you are in South Beach to party it's a good place, but for R&R after many busy days traveling, this was not the right fit for us.

The room type should be the most expensive in the hotel. Check-in was delayed until 5:30 pm. The mattress of the king-size bed in the guest room collapsed in half. I complained to the hotel, but the mattress was not replaced in time. Later, I found that the sliding door lock on the first floor of the guest room could not be locked. It was not repaired that night. The lock was replaced the next morning. The coffee cup was not cleaned. You can clearly see the coffee stains on the cup. The round table in the living room was not wiped clean. The sticky stuff on it got on my computer and it was disgusting. Overall, I will not book this hotel next time. Disappointed

the location is good. checking in was ok other then you have to pay for parking in the garage. we had to change our room two times. doing to the fact the bathroom every time we took a shower water got every where and we had to keep cleaning it then mold in the bathroom. then the next room ac didn't work . then day of check out when check out was at 11 we left to go get breakfast and when we came back it was around 9:45am and they were cleaning out our room and felt like we were getting pushed out. i wasn't happy about it at all. the pictures they have of the hotel isn't their hotel it's the hotel next door.

Maybe it was because the price of Ctrip was low. When we arrived at the hotel, I was told that the room I booked was full. The hotel said that I would give me a free upgrade. I was very happy, but when I saw the room, I found that the room was not upgraded. On the contrary, I have a feeling of downgrading. I booked a balcony, but this room not only has no balcony, but also a room facing the platform on the first floor. The room is obviously old. Environment: The hotel is located in South Beach. The beach is on the left side of the door, and the scenery is beautiful. The balconies of all hotel rooms are diagonally facing the beach. Facilities: The room is large, with a separate bedroom and an external leisure area, equipped with an induction cooker and a microwave. The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub to choose from. The disadvantage is that the facilities are a bit old, the shower head is very dirty, and the towels in my room are a bit dirty, rusty, etc. The washbasin is blocked and the water is draining very slowly. Service: The overall service is OK, not warm but not cold, American service is like that.

As people who travel regularly, we place a lot of emphasis on other reviews when booking. I was rather concerned reading previous reviews of this property, but having stayed at multiple other Ritz Carlton’s (Singapore, Koh Samui, Dalllas, Melbourne etc) we hoped the brand would live up to expectations and great experiences at other properties. IT DID NOT! Strongly suggest avoiding this property at all costs. Look at the low ranked reviews, they all make sense to me after staying. This property has us questioning if we would ever stay with this brand again. Amazing isn’t it, how one property can tarnish a brands reputation. We have been overcharged after checkout after settling the bill when leaving (unresolved at this point but will get to that later). The first room we checked into had air conditioning so loud you could not hear the TV. It was also dirty with marks and dust/grime on every surface and excess dog hair on the floor. I went to the front desk and the best they could do was “send someone up to check the A/C. The property was practically empty. This was not good enough! I was fortunate enough to speak with the GM who remedied the room situation immediately. We then dealt with Daniel (who was on loan from Santa Barbara Ritz Carlton) he was a great reflection on the brand. He upgraded us, which was appreciated but not expected, just a room with a reasonable a/c would have been fine. Rooms are very average, worn and not clean. Linen was stained, towels so old some had tears and holes in them. The majority of the staff seemed like they would rather be anywhere else than at the Ritz Carlton South, can’t say I blame them but really let the place down. When dining they would bring the bill before we had finished dining over and over, at times even advising their break was about to start so needed to provide bill, how about you get another staff member to do this… Upon checkout I paid with an alternate card than I used for the security deposit (to avoid international transaction fees). I settled the bill of approx $450usd and away we went. A few days later, a charge of $390usd (approx) appears on my original card used for security deposit (along with an international transaction fee). This charge is absolute rubbish and was not warranted, everything was settled and paid on check out. I rang and rang and rang all day to the hotel and the phone was never answered. Finally I had to call and international call centre where the wind noise in the background was so loud I could hardly hear. I was then told the extra was for bar charges (not ours!) we had one whisky and a coke at the bar which was on my bill at checkout. I was then told they would try to contact hotel and hopefully in up to 2 weeks they would respond to the call centre, and sometime after to me. This from Ritz Carlton? Disgraceful. We then got lucky and got the US call centre. This was much more helpful and the agent advised the hotel would call back the same day. Still no call back from Hotel, no explanation of why my card was charged… no invoice, no receipts. Now I need to go through the process of disputing the transaction with my bank. Really? The old saying one bad apple spoils the cart, couldn’t be more true of the Ritz Carlton South Beach. There were many other disappointing things that happened during the stay that isn’t even worth going into. Such an epic disappointment from this brand. I am hoping this property reaches out as promised but it holding my breath. Do better Ritz Carlton South Beach! Not wanting to end on such a sour note. Daniel (from RC Santa Barbara) was a standout for guest service as was Noela at the Valet, both embody what guest expect from RC.

The city is very big and the beach is long, so I advise you to rent a car right away if you choose this hotel, otherwise the rest will only be on the beach, the distances from this hotel to everything else are very large. The staff is very friendly, the hotel itself is small, there is a restaurant inside the hotel, judging by the reviews, it is very good. If your windows overlook the road - at night it will be noisy from cars that drive with a loud exhaust or music, I advise you to take this into account in advance.

Pool area was lovely. Beach was nice but the guys did not set up chairs/ umbrellas until almost 10 when morning can be loveliest time. Umbrellas $22 a day. Parking $44 a day plus valet tips. Ordered a “house cab” at the pool bar and was charged $20 which did not include 20% tip nor service charge, coffee in the morning pricey and usually entailed waiting in a long line so incidentals added up very very quickly costing more than the original room bill though we went off site for most of the time for meals. Food there was good. There is construction in the front of the hotel which makes it problematic every time you drive out or back. One way traffic creeps along requiring you to come in, pass the hotel, attempt a u-turn several blocks down and creep back slowly in a perpetual traffic jam to arrive at the front of the hotel. Room was immaculate and well tended though stairwells a bit trashy. Loved the music there on the weekends, excellent food and lovely pool tho. Staff very accommodating too. Those made it a real escape from reality.

I had a great stay at Viajero Hostel. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the common areas were perfect for meeting people. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Anto, who made everything easy and made me feel really welcome. I’d definitely recommend this hostel and would stay here again!

I met the bar teacher in the room..It's quite sad...If you're careful about that part, the staff are also nice..(But a little bit..the kind of generosity that Koreans don't like.. )

the location is good. checking in was ok other then you have to pay for parking in the garage. we had to change our room two times. doing to the fact the bathroom every time we took a shower water got every where and we had to keep cleaning it then mold in the bathroom. then the next room ac didn't work . then day of check out when check out was at 11 we left to go get breakfast and when we came back it was around 9:45am and they were cleaning out our room and felt like we were getting pushed out. i wasn't happy about it at all. the pictures they have of the hotel isn't their hotel it's the hotel next door.
