The snow right outside the hotel was so thick and beautiful, it was incredibly soothing. The kids could literally play in it from the moment they woke up and never get bored. The hotel itself was good, clean, and the staff were polite and friendly. It's about a kilometer's walk from Tanukikoji, and we usually walked back and forth. Because the snow was so deep, the kids would play along the way, so it took us a bit longer, but we had a great time. For going to Otaru, you'd need to rent a car for the day. There are a few ski resorts not far from here, and you can take the JR directly. One time, we dragged our luggage and gear to go skiing, only to be told that the snow from the night before was too heavy, and they hadn't had time to clear the roads, so there was no transportation. We had to drag all our stuff back. So, skiing isn't something you can plan perfectly; you also need a bit of luck, or just stay directly at the ski resort. I'm planning to stay at a ski resort for a whole month next winter, skiing one day and hot springing the next!

JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo offers an excellent location, situated directly above JR Sapporo Station and connected to major shopping malls and transportation hubs. This makes exploring the city highly convenient. The hotel shows its age but remains well maintained, with clean facilities and comfortable rooms. Service stands out as outstanding, exceeding that of other international brands in Sapporo, in my opinion. The only drawback is the onsen, which closes at 10pm—somewhat early after a full day. Overall, it provides a reliable and convenient base for visitors to Sapporo.

*Review: MyStay Sapporo Aspen* Stayed at MyStay Sapporo Aspen for a group trip with 10 adults, and it was a solid base for exploring Sapporo. *Location is perfect* It’s only a 5-minute walk to Sapporo Station, which made everything easy. We could walk to Susukino for dinner, catch the airport train without rushing, and it’s also a short walk to malls and shopping streets. For a group, being central like this saves a lot of time and taxi costs. *Room setup and space* We booked 5 rooms – mix of standard double rooms and standard twin rooms. Heads up: the standard double room is on the smaller side, fine for 1-2 people but tight with luggage. The twin room is noticeably larger than the double, so if you have the option, go for twin. Beds were comfortable and clean in both room types. *Amenities* One thing I liked was the amenity bar on the ground floor. You can pick up toothbrushes, hair ties, razors, sleep masks, and other toiletries for free. Good range, and it’s convenient if you forgot something or don’t want to pack bulky bottles. Rooms also had everything basic you’d expect – kettle, fridge, wifi worked fine. *Food and shopping nearby* There are tons of food options within a few minutes walk. Ramen, izakaya, convenience stores, and cafes everywhere. Plus you’re right next to the mall and shopping areas, so it’s easy to grab last-minute omiyage or do some shopping after dinner. *Overall* Great location, practical amenities, and convenient for groups. Just book twin rooms if space matters to you. For the price and location near Sapporo Station, it’s good value for a city stay.

I think this is a very well-thought-out business hotel chain. It has all the facilities you could need, and you can pick up toothbrushes and other toiletries on the first floor. If you need anything else, you can borrow it from the hotel. They also have a free drink area and offer daily paid parking. I often choose this brand when I travel to Japan.

The hotel was very nice. We got the corner rooms (208-209) and they had nothing to complain about. Spacious than most standard rooms in Japan. Our room has sofa and a table. Separate toilet, washing basin zone, and the shower room has a bathtub and a shower head separately. (I don't like thw combination one so i purposely chose this type of room) The cleanliness was superb, you can put the card on the bed and the sticker at the door to sign them to help clean the room and change the bed sheet. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer, robes, air humidifier, kettler, few glasses and mugs, air freshener spray, slippers, laundry bag (for laundry service). Staff were nice, breakfast buffet was great (no need to book in advance, can pay upfront) The closest stations are the Tozai Line (orange): Nishi juitchome and the Namboku, Toho, Tozai Line: Odori station.

Facilities: A bit old, as it's been around for over a decade, but still very refined and tidy, with a feel of a fading noble. The hotel has pretty complete amenities; the only downside is the lack of a laundry room. You have to walk a bit to find a paid laundromat outside (perhaps because they figure only winter visitors come to Hokkaido, and you barely need a shower in winter, right? (laughs)). Hygiene: Very clean, fitting for a five-star hotel's positioning and price point. Environment: Located next to Nakajima Park. From my room, I could see the vast white snow of Nakajima Park below. It's a bit far from the city center (around 800m), but very quiet at night. You can take the JR or walk to the city center, and the experience is still very good. Service: Standard five-star hotel service; all expected services are well provided.

The location is super convenient, right above the subway's North-South Line exit, so no dragging luggage through the snow. The room was clean, and I loved the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. Soundproofing inside the hotel was pretty good; I didn't hear anything from other rooms. However, with the window open, you could definitely hear drunk people on the street – it is Susukino, after all! 😂 But why open the window? Because the room was way too hot! Who'd believe you could nearly roast to death in Sapporo in the middle of winter? 😂😂

A superdude Hokkaido hotel, where is located next to the JR station (unfortunately the station exit is under go construction, some pedestrian diversion) only 5 minutes walk will be arrived. The JR train from CTS airport to the hotel only took 40 minutes. Many big shopping arcades surround the area, worth to visit again of this hotel.

Great location, near to Sapporo station. Diamaru and malls are diagonally across the street. Airport shuttle service stop is within few minutes walking distance from hotel. The room we stayed in is spacious and clean , with a separate living. Shower and toilet are separated which enable two guests to use at same time. It would be ideal that the glass panel of the shower door be tinted for better privacy . Room service is alternate day but fresh towels are provided daily. Staff were generally friendly and helpful especially Miss Wu of front desk, who went the extra mile for us . Breakfast was good and staff at restaurant were attentive . The down side is overnight parking. The lots were shared with other entities and even though we were back by 8pm, there’s still no avail lot. Affiliated parking is available at another nearby building.

We stayed in the Hollywood Twin Room, and although it was a bit small, it was incredibly clean and well-arranged! The hotel offers excellent value for money overall. Downstairs at check-in, they provide complimentary toiletries, and even mouthwash, toner, lotion, and makeup remover! I'd give the hotel facilities a perfect score; there's a self-service laundry room, ice machine, microwave, refrigerator, and even a dedicated smoking room. If you're a Chinese tourist, don't set your expectations too high – it's just a basic hostel. Expect the lower floors to be equivalent to a 170-250 RMB standard in China, and even a 'premium' room shouldn't cost more than 400 RMB. The hallways are so narrow only one person can pass at a time, and there's no wardrobe in the room; clothes have to be hung on the hallway wall. You can't even lay your suitcase flat on the floor! I've never stayed in such a terrible room, and the pricing is incredibly unstable. I booked it for just over 1000 RMB, but after checking in, I found the price had dropped by more than 300 RMB. If you don't check the prices carefully, you'll get ripped off... Luckily, Trip.com customer service was great and refunded the difference! This hotel has no redeeming qualities. Although it's close to the subway station, there are definitely more cost-effective hotels nearby, all within walking distance.

It was pretty good. The view from the 24th floor was excellent, and the public bath was larger than the Dormy Inn I stayed at before. The triple room was also very nice. Although the 0.9-meter-wide bed was a bit narrow for my 14-year-old, he didn't mind, and I prefer us all sleeping together, as it helps us bond more with him. The only hassle was the air conditioning was too hot; I suggest they not turn it off completely but instead set it to the lowest temperature of 18 degrees.

This onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.

The table was spacious enough with a refrigerator underneath, so I could eat, get ready, or watch TV just by sitting there. It was great for lazy people. The bath, of course, was large enough to stretch my legs out. I was able to choose my favorite bath salts and shampoo, so bath time was very satisfying. I stayed at this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. Its biggest advantage is the airport shuttle (1500 JPY/person) right outside the hotel, which is also the first stop. The journey takes 1.5 hours. It's also a maximum 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station. The room was clean, but the gap between the two beds was a bit too narrow. The bathroom was spacious and came with disposable slippers. There's no bottled water in the room, but drinking water is available in the hallway. A very comfortable stay and one I would happily return to on a future trip to Sapporo. The room was spacious by Japanese hotel standards, well maintained, and had a grand feel without being overly luxurious. After long days of sightseeing, it was a pleasant place to return to and rest. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Sapporo Station while still being quiet and convenient. What really stood out was the practicality of the hotel. The airport limousine bus stops here, making arrivals and departures very easy. There are also luggage lockers available, and Yamato luggage delivery services can be arranged from the hotel. A small tip: if you're planning to use Yamato luggage delivery, do take note of the cut-off times and delivery schedules, as they may affect your travel plans. The next morning, as I pulled open the curtains, I was absolutely stunned: before me was a beautiful world of pristine white snow, with Nakajima Park spread out in full view. I was so grateful for the clear blue sky, allowing the distant mountains to be clearly visible. It truly lived up to its name as a 'room with a view.' Although the facilities are a bit dated, the room layout is very practical, and the bathroom is spacious enough. The bedding and linens are all of high quality. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and excellent. Eating breakfast in the ground floor restaurant, with its large floor-to-ceiling windows, and watching the snow silently fall from the trees was an indescribable pleasure. The basics of all city hotels - location, location, location..... !!! And Hotel Stream is smacked in the heart of everything Sapporo has to offer unless you prefer a quieter and calmer spot then this hotel is NOT for you. Rooms are pretty standard in terms of size and amenities, it's, quiet, and great for city strolling. If your intention is to use this hotel as your base to do day trips to Furano & Biei, The Hill of the Buddha Moai, or the renowned Otaru (which unfortunately isn't that muchl unless you're a die hard music box & glass making fan) this is your BEST CHOICE until Hyatt House opens in Oct 2026 (a bird told me - for those Globalist out there) . Oh... a BIG tip by the way (if you've been reading till this point: request for a room with a direct view of the Sapporo's ferries wheel (not that I am a fan lol) or the view of the Nikka advertisement on my attached photo - they are worth it. It's amazing to sleep with such stunning view and wake up to one..... (check out my photos taken from my room) In case you wonder if that pic of me by the glass overlooking thr Nikka ad sign - that's the main breakfast restaurant where you will be having your daily breakfast but u have to get there early to book that seat, otherwise sit through breakfast till they close and then u get to take this photo for as long as you please...... Ok ok ok... i know I'm a little long winded. But hey... oh yeah... u need to know that you can take a limousine bus from CTS (Chitose International Airport) to Susukino which takes about 50mins on way for JPY1500 per person. Easy weasy and the from the bus stop in susukino where most will disembark - it's only a 5min walk to Hotel Stream which ISN'T that obvious as the hotel sign is NOT exactly on the building. You have to look out for a building that reads ”Coco-something” (ops forgotten the name of the building) and the hotel lobby is located on the 7th floor of that building which also house a shopping center, movie theater and numerous restaurants. If you're srill reading this - give me a like already and don't be stingy with that click will ya? Lol. Up next - I'll bee reviewing my hotel in Noboribetsu, Lake Toya, Hakodate and eventually Waldorf Astoria Osaka. Watch out for my space k. Until next time, may you be well and may the force be with you.

Modern Comfort with Exceptional Service. We recently stayed at this brand new hotel for 3 nights and was thoroughly impressed. As someone who travels frequently and appreciated good design and hospitality, this property hit all the right notes. The ambience & Room: The hotel features a clean and medern design. My room was a decent size-not too small for 2 people-and perfectly maintained. ิิิิฺ-Modern amenities including a Nespresso machine and a smart TV with Netflix made our stay very comfortable when snowing outside. -Attentive and consistent housekeeping. The room was refreshed daily with plenty of drinking water provided. Service: The staff here are the true stars. They are genuinely friendly, always greeting us with a smile. They went beyond by help to pre-booking a fixed-rate taxi for our airport transfrer, which made our early morning departure stress-free. Location and Dining: While the hotel isn't right in the hustle and bustle of the center area, it is within easy walking distance to everything. The subway is just around the corner but we prefer walking for observation. The surrounding area is packed with great local dining options. Plus, the hotel's own restaurant is quite a great choice for a great dinner. A Small Note for Improvement: The only thing I missed was the ability to slightly crack open a window. As someone sensitive to room temperature during sleep (especially in winter), having a bit of fresh air would have made the stay even more perfect. Verdict: Highly recommended for those who valure cleanliness, modern aesthetics, and top-tier service. We would definitely stay here again next time.

First of all the hotel size and location is reasonable. onsen is ok, the water can be hotter. It's very popular during evening times. There is only one washing machine so it's difficult to get a slot. Sleepwise is ok, there is a lack of moisturiser in the room. You have to get it at the reception, just saw the info when I was checking out. however at the end of my stay the overall service left a bad taste in my mouth. I requested for my luggage to be delivered to the next hotel. However upon reaching the next hotel, only one of my luggage reached the location. When I wrote back asking the hotel. They pushed the responsibility back to me asking me to check with the delivery company instead. I am a foreigner in Japan. And being asked to check with a Japanese transport company of my missing luggage sent by the hotel. I can't communicate in Japanese. How am I supposed to talk to the transport company? For a country famed to be highly efficient in their delivery and service, my two luggage to be delivered turn out to only one and the hotel who delivered my luggage is not helping so ridiculous. This is a memorable stay for it in a bad way. I am tempted to leave every thing one star but I am not as unreasonable like this hotel service.

This hotel is incredibly close to the Odori subway station exits, with various lines nearby, just a 2-3 minute walk away. If you're someone who doesn't want to drag your luggage far, this place is perfect! And the biggest plus? There's an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel with direct service to New Chitose Airport 🚌. No need to squeeze onto the subway on your way back – it's a lifesaver for those with big luggage! It's also about a 6-8 minute walk to PARCO and Tanukikoji, making shopping and dining super convenient.

Overall, I'm very satisfied, and it's conveniently located near the station. Facilities: They have everything you need, plus a large public bath. You can even enjoy a popsicle after your soak! Cleanliness: Good. I stayed for four nights, and the towels were changed daily. Environment: Quiet, with no noisy surroundings. Service: All very good, with polite greetings every time I entered and exited. Their breakfast is excellent too! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Sapporo.

Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and reliable base for exploring Sapporo and the surrounding areas. I would definitely stay here again by next week.

This hotel is super convenient, just three meters from Exit 24 of Odori Station. It even offers views of the Sapporo Clock Tower from the smoking area on the second floor or the rooftop terrace! The rooms are quite spacious, definitely bigger than what you'd typically find in Tokyo or Osaka. They even come equipped with a sound system and record player, which is a really cool and unique touch! Location-wise, it's excellent for transport and dining. You can easily access the surrounding areas via the Odori Station underground passage, so even in snowy weather, getting around is a breeze. Check-in is done using self-service machines, and the lobby is on the second floor, with a breakfast restaurant and bar on the first.

I originally planned to book Toyoko Inn, but then I saw that this hotel was even cheaper for those two days, so I booked it instead. At just over 400 RMB a night, the value for money was pretty good. The location is excellent, right next to Odori Park. The closest subway station is Nishi 11-chome, and it's not far from Odori Station either. It's also quite close to Sapporo Station, Susukino, and the Sapporo TV Tower. Sapporo's city center isn't very large, so transportation is quite convenient. The room itself was on par with an upper-mid-range budget hotel – nothing spectacular, but perfectly decent. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping.

Loved that the hotel allows guests with tattoo to use the onsen though this wasn’t made known explicitly with written signs. Hotel was located at the end of Tanukoji so it’s a distance from the main area although still walkable. Note that the bathroom doesn’t have a space to put your dry clothes and you will have to wear it outside unless you do not mind the bottom of your pants getting wet. Not very convenient for mix gender groups even though there’s a blind you can draw but still be visible from the mirror reflection. Room was located in the annex building which has alot of stairs so not that convenient for elderlies too. Overall, decent hotel but recommended only if you have no issues walking or are driving.

The location was great, only a 5-minute walk from Maruyama-koen Station. The room felt nice and was very clean. It had a kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, and electric stove. There were also two sinks, which was perfect for the four of us. Wi-Fi was available, and there's a supermarket nearby. However, upon arrival, there was a sign for the front desk on the 3rd floor, and when I got into the elevator, it wouldn't move without a 3-digit code. I didn't know about this, and I'm not sure if I was informed of it beforehand. It caused some hassle during check-in, which is self-service. I eventually had to call to complete the check-in process.

Incredible value for money stay in the heart of Sapporo. I have never stayed in a capsule hotel before which made me hesitant to book this hotel, however I am so glad that I chose it. The location is unbeatable, in the very heart of Sapporo, in Susukino district. There is an endless amount of izakaya and restaurants on the doorstep of the hotel. The onsen and sauna was the best I have visited in Japan so far. I have heard the sauna is famous across Japan, and I can see why. It is kept impeccably clean and the entire facility is well maintained. The amenities such as unlimited towels, toothbrushes, razors and hair products are a great touch too. The capsule hotel itself was great, like the rest of the property, spotless clean and well kept. Despite being a capsule hotel, I heard no snoring for disturbance during the night. The breakfast was delicious and excellent value. Upon checkout, I requested to book again due to my great experience.
