There's a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so communication was seamless. Breakfast was decent too. The only downside, if I had to pick one, was the constant stream of tour groups. It's also just a 5-minute walk from the main shopping street in Shinsaibashi.

The hotel's exterior has a lot of style, and the public facilities are good, with a very clean bathhouse. However, the hotel room is too small; we could barely open two suitcases. There was no space to even eat instant noodles! 😭 The hotel isn't in a tourist area, but there are some local shops nearby that are worth exploring. I highly recommend a breakfast place called Rivori nearby; their bread is delicious. The hotel is relatively close to ”Yodoyabashi” station, but the exits there are quite confusing. For two days, we never managed to use the same exit to get back to the hotel. It's about a 10-minute walk from the subway station.

Upon check-in, I was only given a wooden tag, no key or room card. The capsule bed rooms have magnetic folding doors, which provide privacy but might make you feel less secure about your valuables. The fourth floor is women-only and has both showers and toilets. Washing machines are located on the 2nd and 10th floors, costing 300 yen to wash and 100 yen to dry. I was a bit disappointed because the pictures in the description showed a public bath, but upon arrival, I found out there was only a male bath, no female bath. The free self-service luggage storage is very convenient!

This stay really exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely fantastic – right outside Namba Subway Exit 6, and just a short walk to Takashimaya and Nankai Namba Station. It's incredibly convenient whether you're shopping, eating, or getting around, saving so much travel time. 💖 We booked a family room, and the kids absolutely loved the bunk bed. Superb! We booked a connecting room, which offered incredible value for money. The bathrooms were very clean, and having two of them was a big plus. The connecting rooms each had their own entrance, and inside, two doors allowed us to connect them or keep them separate. When closed, they became two independent rooms, ensuring privacy and quiet nights – the soundproofing was excellent. The front desk had a Chinese-speaking staff member who was very helpful, and they even provided sunscreen. I would definitely book here again on future visits. The bed was extremely comfortable, and breakfast was decent; we had fish on the first day, but not on the subsequent two.

Osaka’s top attractions are not far from this hotel; the metro station is only a few blocks away – around 250 m (depending on the exit #) – the hotel sits right between attractions in each direction (north, south, east and west). Lots of restaurants, shopping (multiple convenience stores as well). The hotel is very practical; laundry, dry cleaning, microwave, vending machines, etc., are available. The shower is fun and unique with all the dials. The space for hanging up towels could be improved in the room I had; more hooks, which many Holiday Inn Express hotels feature.

Excellent! 👍 It might be a bit tricky to find for first-time visitors to Osaka, but it's no problem if you use navigation. It's very close to Tanimachi Line, Higashi-Umeda Exit 4, and also near the Nishi-Tenma 36 bus stop. Facilities: Comprehensive, and there's even a hot spring pool to soak in. However, please note ⚠️, no tattoos allowed 🙅‍♂️. Hygiene: The cleanliness of this hotel is superb! 👍 Extremely clean. Environment: The breakfast quality is high, and the ingredients are excellent. But you need to eat early, around 9 AM, as they stop replenishing food by 9:45 AM. Service: The front desk staff are also very friendly. For friends who smoke, remember to use the smoking room on the first floor to light up! 😄 The second picture shows the smoking room.

This is my second stay here, and the location is excellent. Shinsaibashi subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, and you can also use the underground passage which has plenty of shops and restaurants, including Starbucks and Muji, for browsing and shopping. The room is small but clean and tidy. The lobby offers a simple breakfast with freshly made onigiri, bread, salad, and yogurt, and you can take it back to your room. There's also a microwave and oven in the lobby for heating food. Plus, there are free snacks, drinks, and even alcohol available at various times throughout the day.

Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Great location down to Universal Studios, only about 15 minutes walk. Quiet because of the distance. The staff were incredibly helpful, I checked some luggage for storage before check in and when I returned found they'd already taken it to my room for me and even hung up the jacket I left. There was a great deal of care taken. Even my booking request for a quiet room away from the lifts was noted and actioned and the rooms had every little thing you might need or have forgotten available. My only complaint is that I couldn't include more nights there in my trip. It was perfect.

Loved our stay at City Plaza Osaka! We used Osaka as a base for our trip, going on multiple short day-trips followed by a longer stay in Tokyo, with one final night in Osaka before heading home. First room was clean and cozy, second room was HUGE and perfect for repacking our checked bag. Both rooms were comfortable and clean with excellent water pressure in the shower. Plenty of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, so didn’t try the hotel breakfast, but highly recommend Osaka Engine (has gluten free ramen options!) for a delicious meal! The FamilyMart downstairs was very convenient, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the onsen was the cherry on top. The hotel location was great, easy walking distance to various metro stations and sights like Osaka Castle. 10/10 would stay again!

I thought I needed to purchase a specific bathing package for the hot springs, and that this package didn't include breakfast, requiring me to pay extra for it. In reality, all guests could use the hot springs for free. It took about 2.5 hours on the day of checkout to sort things out with the platform and get a refund for the overpayment. There's a chapel inside the hotel, which would be perfect for newlyweds to hold a reception.

I booked the ART Hotel Osaka Bay a month in advance, and overall, I found it to be quite good value for money. We were given a room on the 41st floor this time. Being so high up, the view was largely unobstructed and fantastic, especially the city nightscape of Osaka, which was really beautiful. This is definitely one of the hotel's biggest highlights. However, I'm not sure if it's due to being on a higher floor, but when leaning against the headboard, I could feel a slight vibration in the room. I confirmed there were no earthquakes during these days. Transportation was also more convenient than I expected. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal Studios Japan (USJ), but we didn't use it because taking the JR train was already very convenient, getting us to USJ in about 20 minutes. Traveling to other parts of Osaka was also smooth, so if your main itinerary includes USJ and Osaka city center, the location here is actually quite good. Plus, if you're going to Kansai Airport, the JR train outside the hotel goes directly there without transfers, taking about an hour. Overall, the room's cleanliness seemed decent. The bedding, bathroom, and other commonly visible areas were quite clean. However, there's room for improvement in detailed cleaning. Some spots that are usually not easily noticed were clearly not thoroughly cleaned; for example, when I pulled open a drawer, I found a fair amount of dust inside. While these areas don't affect a normal stay, it's a bit of a letdown for a hotel of this caliber. The front desk staff were generally professional, efficient with check-ins and inquiries, but their service attitude was quite standardized and not particularly warm. What negatively impacted my experience the most during this stay was actually a very small thing – the complimentary bottled water. We stayed for 4 nights, and the hotel provides 2 bottles of free mineral water daily. Since we didn't request daily housekeeping, the 2 bottles for the second day were not replenished. When I called on the third day, we simply wanted to receive the 2 bottles for that day, plus the 2 bottles that weren't replenished from the previous day, totaling 4 bottles. The phone operator even took the time to specifically confirm whether we had indeed not received them before. They finally confirmed that they could replenish them, but when the staff member brought them to the room, they still only brought 2 bottles. Even more perplexing, the same thing happened again on the fourth day. Over the phone, it was clearly confirmed that 2 bottles were missing before, and they agreed to replenish them, but in the end, only 2 bottles were delivered again. Honestly, two bottles of mineral water aren't worth much, and we weren't at all concerned about the cost. What was truly uncomfortable was having to repeatedly explain and confirm for a few bottles of water for two consecutive days, only for the confirmed quantity not to be delivered in the end. The whole process made it feel as if the guests were lying or trying to take advantage of the hotel over two free bottles of water. For a hotel that serves international tourists, this kind of experience is really unnecessary. Overall, the hotel's facilities, views, transportation, and price are all good, especially the view from the high-floor rooms, which is a big plus. Booking in advance offers great value for money. However, there's room for improvement in cleaning details and service procedures. Often, what affects a guest's experience isn't the monetary value of two bottles of water, but rather whether the hotel shows basic trust and respect when handling a small matter.

Stayed at Onyado Nono Namba Natural Hot Spring and absolutely loved it. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout and every staff member we met was kind, helpful and efficient. Service felt warm without being intrusive. I saw quite a few comments online saying the rooms are too small, but honestly I think it depends on which room type you book. We checked the room size before booking and found it very acceptable for Osaka standards — spacious enough to open luggage comfortably and move around without feeling cramped. One of our favourite parts was all the little extras included during the stay — the free late-night noodles every evening were surprisingly good, and the onsen was such a nice way to relax after walking all day. After the bath, there was complimentary ice cream which made the experience even better. Location is another huge plus — directly across from Dotonbori, within walking distance to Kuromon Market, and very convenient for exploring Namba and nearby areas. The whole hotel has a calm Japanese ryokan-style atmosphere while still being modern and comfortable. Would definitely stay again next time in Osaka ❤️

But after much thought, I realized that having three breakfasts included would be incredibly convenient, so I decided to give it a try. And the result? It truly exceeded my expectations! First off, the room was very clean, with none of the hygiene issues mentioned in some reviews. Plus, the room was cleaned daily. The breakfast was also excellent—Western style, with meat, vegetables, fruits, various fresh juices, and coffee ☕️, all readily available. We also made use of the self-service laundry 👚 every day, which was incredibly convenient and saved us a lot of hassle. As for transportation, it's closer to Yodoyabashi (than Honmachi), about a 5-minute walk, making it easy to get anywhere. All in all, it was a very, very, very satisfying travel experience ☺️

Staying at Hotel Granvia Osaka was such a pleasant experience! The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Osaka, with shopping, restaurants and eateries all around, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. What I loved most is how central it is for travelling beyond Osaka too. With Osaka Station right there, it’s so easy to head out to places like Kyoto, Kobe and Kurashiki without wasting time getting across the city. A special shout-out to Don at the hotel, whose service was truly top-notch. He spoke excellent English, was incredibly accommodating and made me feel very well taken care of. The hotel even upgraded my room for free, which was such a lovely surprise! And for Pokémon fans — this is a bonus I absolutely loved! 😍 The Pokémon Center is just on the 13th floor, so you can literally pop down whenever you feel like browsing or shopping. Overall, a fantastic base for an Osaka trip — excellent location, wonderful service, comfortable stay and plenty of shopping and dining right at your doorstep. Would definitely stay here again!

It's located in Namba which is one of the busiest and exciting neighborhoods in Osaka. Direct train to KIX in the same building is the biggest plus. Dotonbori is only 10 min walk away. We had an amazing sushi dinner a few mins from the hotel. You never get hungry staying there. Front desk staff speak very good English. If you opt out of breakfast, the cafe on 3rd floor facing express train station is an excellent choice for coffee and pastries. A few min walk there an excellent brunch cafe that opens at 8 am. If you arrive by train from Kyoto/Nara, it's a little past to n navigate to the hotel. Just get to the 3rd floor first around Takashimaya. Signage is mucus easier from there. Rooms are spacious. We picked the renovated room Swiss Select. It's absolutely worth paying a little bit more. I'll definitely stay there again should I be visiting Osaka in the future.

On the second floor, by the front desk, there are many self-service items available, such as hair ties, combs, and small packets of skincare products. ## Housekeeping: The room was cleaned daily, with the bed made and hair tidied up. ## Location & Environment: The hotel is very close to Exit 3 of Kitahama Subway Station, and Doyabashi Subway Station is about a 10-minute walk away, making it convenient to get to Umeda, Universal Studios, and Shinsaibashi. There's also a FamilyMart convenience store right outside, where you can find pretty much any drinks and snacks you might want. The area is quiet at night, and the room's soundproofing is quite good. ## Service: Upon check-in, we had to pay the accommodation tax, and the staff gave us two tokens that could be exchanged for drinks on the second floor. Since we don't drink alcohol, we chose two juices, which tasted a bit tart. Both check-in and check-out were done via machines, which was quite convenient.

The hotel is surrounded by tons of great, affordable restaurants and is perfectly located between Tsutenkaku and Shinsaibashi! After visiting Tsutenkaku, you can walk straight back to the hotel, rest up, and then it's just a few hundred meters walk to Shinsaibashi! Big Camera, Don Quijote, and Sushiro are all very close by. There are countless drugstores, as well as PlayStation and Nintendo stores! This will definitely be my top choice for my next stay in Osaka!

First, about the location: it is exceptionally convenient, right in the heart of the Shinsaibashi commercial district. All major department stores are just a stone's throw away, and Namba is about a 15-minute walk. Even the Superior Twin Room felt quite small to me. While it's advertised as 24 to 27 square meters, it realistically feels more like 20. The service aspect is quite interesting: the housekeeping staff are of Indian descent, the bell staff in the lobby are from Myanmar and Vietnam, and the front desk agents are locals. We didn't request full room cleaning during our stay, just daily replenishment of amenities. The absolute highlight is the hotel's breakfast. We stayed for 6 days and 5 nights, and tried both the Western restaurant on the 2nd floor and the Japanese restaurant on the 3rd floor. At first glance, the selection doesn't look huge, but everything is of very high quality. The service in the restaurants is also excellent, and the desserts, in particular, are well worth savoring. Perhaps the delicious pastries alone will bring us back for another stay next time.

There was a minor hiccup during check-in, which I didn't even dwell on. I simply mentioned it casually late at night when exchanging coins. To my surprise, when I returned to the hotel the next afternoon after shopping, I found an apology card and some fruit in my room. They truly value guest satisfaction and the quality of their hotel. If I visit Osaka again, this hotel will definitely be my top choice.

We were a family of three staying here, and it was a fantastic experience. The room was clean and not cramped at all. It was also tidied up daily. Both the daytime and nighttime views were excellent! There were no strange odors in the room. All the hotel staff were very friendly; they'd greet us proactively and were quick to help whenever we had any issues. The location is superb. It avoids the crowds of Shinsaibashi and Umeda, yet getting anywhere is incredibly convenient. It's about 15 minutes to Shinsaibashi and Umeda, and around 30+ minutes to Universal Studios Japan or the Osaka Aquarium. It's also very easy to get to Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. The elevator provides direct access to the Kintetsu department store, making dining and shopping very convenient. Across the street, there are also MIO and Q's shopping centers. Shopping is incredibly easy, and it's not overly crowded. Highly recommended! Our whole family was very satisfied. We checked out on the 14th for two nights in Kyoto, and after returning on the 16th, we decided to continue our stay at the Osaka Marriott.

There's also a direct bus stop to Kansai Airport right downstairs. The two subway lines downstairs go directly to Shinsaibashi, so it's super convenient to get anywhere. This is by far the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in Osaka! First off, the location is excellent, right next to Shin-Osaka Station, about a 5-minute walk. They even provide a packet of laundry detergent every day, which was a huge help. The room was also quite spacious, with two 1.6m large beds, and a fantastic view. Since it was very hot in Osaka during our stay, the hotel thoughtfully provided fans, and the staff were quite friendly! We didn't hear any noise during our stay, so the soundproofing is pretty good. You can walk everywhere for shopping. The exterior is a striking castle-like building, and the lobby inside is very luxurious. Although the hotel isn't new, the rooms are large and clean. It's the most spacious hotel room I've stayed in Japan, making it incredibly comfortable.

The hotel is nice and located in a tourist area, but unfortunately, it’s not an area that we particularly liked. The food around there was quite expensive and, in our opinion, not very good. The hotel is also quite a walk from the subway/metro station, which was a bit inconvenient. Perhaps it was because we visited during hot weather, but we didn’t feel very comfortable with the location. On the positive side, the staff provided good service and the room was clean. However, overall, we didn’t really like the location.

The room is relatively big for a Japan apartment, enough for 2 pax but gets a little squeezy for travellers with 2 luggage. The water temperature is a little frustrating though, as it gets hot and cold randomly and takes awhile for it to turn from cold to hot. The toilet is not to our liking, it’s yellowish in color and just doesn’t feel clean. Other than that, everything else is relatively ok.
