First I want to say that the ******* we experienced were taken into account by the hotel manager upon checkout and I really wish I could give 5/5 Good things include the amazing location and grounds. The building itself if stunning and decorated beautifully. We even managed to check in hours before normal time. However it lacks the finesse for a full 5* experience. We had to seek out staff for service for food and drink every time. We also had to search for spa staff too. The spa is ‘basic’and is over priced by local comparison. The TV in our room didn’t work. We also asked for help with one of the sockets in the room which never arrived. Room wasn’t the cleanest (floors and finger marks). There are a number of small but nonetheless important lacking details for the cost of the hotel that you would expect covered.

One of a kind property, very beautiful architecture, wonderful rooms, nice beds, good quality of sleep, nice views. Housekeeping was good, turndown service attentive. However, Service in F&B was very poor. Breakfast staff always overwhelmed even during the low season. At times no one has taken note of us or took orders. Personnel does not ever come again after the first order. Outside areas were taken care of very poorly- all outdoor furniture was stained all over and not cleaned from leaves, etc. sunloungers were done and need urgent replacement!! All in all - ok for the price we paid in off-season, definitely not ok for the price you pay in high season. Unfortunately I would not ever recommend the property because of the poor service levels!
