We stayed at Villa d’Este for our second trip to Lake Como. Very pleased with the experience. Food is excellent, pool is beautiful and housekeeping is impeccable. The hotel is located on a beautiful lakefront property with sprawling grounds. Service is prompt and attentive in the classic European style, very great touch. One delicate point, we did get some attitude from the concierge one evening when we asked for a hotel valet to take us in our own vehicle barely 400 meters to the Villa Erba because I was wearing 15cm heels, they promptly refused with cheeky Italian flair as the hotel valet drove our vehicle few hundred meters back into the garage, the irony was not lost on us. All in all, it was a memorable experience and we highly recommend Villa d’Este to anyone visiting Lake Como.

Already the fifth time to stay in the four seasons, the location is ten advantages and the reason why I choose to stay here every time is a ten minute walk from Milan Cathedral and Renaissance Department Store.

The hotel is very new, the design is very elegant and artistic, and under the Feidaijifei banner, it provides branded face cream, eye cream and hand cream, which are very useful. But the service was average and not very good. The housekeeper didn't speak English well and didn't know what I wanted. It took a long time for them to get things. When I checked out, I found there was something wrong with the bill. The mini bar was not used but I was charged. Of course, after telling us it was useless, the hotel also canceled. I booked a car from the hotel for a little over 280 euros one way. When I set off, I asked the driver to pick up a friend who lived in a nearby hotel (it would be there in 3 minutes). The driver said yes, and the final bill was 130 euros more just to pick me up on the way. Friends, I am speechless. In the end, because the hotel didn't tell me in advance that it would charge 130 euros, I insisted and didn't charge it. In short, the bill was a bit messy, because when I checked out, I met a couple next to me who also complained about the bill. At that time, the manager said that there was no problem. The couple next to me mentioned that they would not have this problem if they stayed at Four Seasons. In this case, the manager said that he was from Four Seasons and kept insisting that he was right, but in the end it was proved that he was wrong. Anyway, I just feel that the service is not that good and does not match the style of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is first-class. Just a few minutes away is the Luxury Street. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Milan Cathedral. The hotel is small but very exquisite. For breakfast, you need to order from the menu. When ordering, you need to ask clearly what are the extra charges. They have some meals that are extra charges. They will not tell you when you order. They will tell you about the extra charges when you check out. Settlement required.

Shopping is very convenient near the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Milan. The hotel service is courteous. Because I forgot to bring an adapter plug, they even gave me a plug to use. The room is very well-equipped. The room I chose this time also has a terrace. The surrounding view is very good. Next I will choose this hotel again.

Pros: The room was upgraded to premium, the hotel and the room smelled good, the minibar and refrigerator were free, a pad could control the entire room, the breakfast was rich with both cold and hot dishes, the service was very friendly and they would remember the guest's name to greet them, and the club sandwich from the room service was more delicious than expected! Cons: No HBO, the switch on the wall in the room was too bright and affected my sleep at night, and there was no hook at the door of the shower room, which was inconvenient to put towels.

Although the room size is small compared to Park Hyatt in China, it is quite spacious in Milan. The public area is more European in design, the rooms are relatively modern and simple, and the dressing room and toilet are not very convenient to be combined. The service is thoughtful and the breakfast is not bad.

This time, the hotel's reservation for the family hotel payment option was immediately settled. Thanks to that, the business trip expenses were too twisted and very difficult. The desk was incredibly unfriendly, and no one listened to it no matter how much they explained on the spot. The people staying at other hotels nearby were in contrast to their very comfortable stay. I really don't want to stay again. Please delete and operate on-site payments in the option. It's not because people who choose on-site payment options while paying more expensive fees are stupid, but because they have all that reason. It's not a show, and even though it appears at check-in time, do you pay with a deposit card and stay in the rainy season?
