The hotel does have a grand-presence on Lungomare. Being an older and spacious property does have it's advantages - like having a wide balcony with chairs to gaze out at the exotic Amalfi coast (photo attached). Though Easter time, we were lucky to have a room with a balcony. Conveniently located in a 10-minute walk the the Salerno station, bus-stop or concordia Pier to reach Amalfi. Room was spacious with large cupboards and a small place to cook-meals. A kettle would have been comfortable in the room. Being Asian, I love my warm water and a morning coffee. Breakfast was tasty with some of the local sweet delicacies like Sfogliatella and Conchiglia. I noticed it was spread in way which reduced food-wastage on the table. However, I missed warm sausages or omlette. Would have also liked vegetable salads and cut fruits. A variety of whole fresh fruits were accessible, but sometimes we get lazy to peel and eat an entire fruit :) Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is five minutes walk from the train station. Exit the train station and turn left and you will see it. The room is similar to the domestic express hotel. I just passed through the salerno and stayed for one night and could accept it.

The hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.

Excellent stay, with free parking, swimming pool and a small gym, courteous, educated and available staff for anything! I advise everyone.

The hotel is new or renovated. Dark furnishing Japanese style ... excellent and wide selection of fresh bakery and breakfast cakes, juices, yoghurt, fresh coffee from the bar and the dispenser machine, a little choice of salads. We also had a dinner one night and it was good both the sea ragout packers and the sword fish, very soft. Negative report by several rooms: temperature fixed at 23.5° then rises to.24° on December 8, unhealthy at maximum ... impossible to lower it. We opened a spiral but couldn't be all night open.Even other rooms were like that. We reported the morning after and the evening when we returned 23.5°. We had to talk to the reception and we were told that that was the room temperature and to get it down we had to open the window! We did it but the thermometer (it is not a thermometer!) did not fall. We were told to remove the engine control tab to reset everything, but nothing happened ... everything remained on. Another night was soffocating. I read other old reviews complaining about the same problem ... obviously in several rooms the plant works badly. Maybe instead of pretending nothing would be better to repair it. The next breakfast is still good.

I stayed 3 days with a group of 83 people from Perugia, a pleasant stay, simple but comfortable rooms, excellent food, we had dinner 3 nights where the food was really good and then we were welcomed by a room staff The most gentle, especially if I do not mislead the name, by Mrs. Johanna very gentle, very sympathetic, available and with a disarmating smile, the opposite of the two guardians of the morning, One older and the other with longer hair, whatever you asked him, was really unpathy and sneaked, for the rest, all right.

Stayed here for 1 night in August to see Pisa before flying home after a wedding holiday, and we honestly could have stayed for a week. It was perfect to be able to relax and decompress after a busy trip in such an impressive hotel with pool grounds on the edge of Pisa. It was easy to get in and out of the centre of Pisa, the walk was fine in the day (you do have to use an underpass but plenty of other people are also using it). At night we opted for taxis, the underpass had a bit to do with this but also it was just easier for us all dressed for dinner. Our room honestly felt like luxury, this place is an absolute gem for those who want a high standard hotel whilst seeing Pisa. would 10000% recommend. Only criticism - the roof is underused. There's a disused bar that's completely empty and a handful of seats. We couldn't believe this as it was absolutely beautiful at sunset. They could definitely utilise this more to give the hotel that extra wow factor. We'd have definitely made us of it if it were running.

Perfect location - 25 minutes walk from the train station - walk out the front of the hotel turn right & you see the Tower in seconds. Rooms clean / tidy & traditional but perfectly adequate for a 2 night stay in Pisa. Breakfast was buffet style & had everything from cereals, croissants, yogurts to bacon & eggs - all good. The rooftop bar is the star though - it has a perfect view of the tower. Costs are reasonable as well being the same as what you would pay at street level.

I booked one day to just sleep over at this place, but really loved its service and the facilities. Breakfast was tasty and had multiple options. The only minus is the location, which is around 25 minutes' walk to the city center and 40 minutes to the railway station.

Stayed here for two nights before heading to cinque Terre. I'd give 4 stars to the staff, breakfast and location for station and walking to the tower. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was super and plentiful. And location was perfect for late arrival from Pisa airport....right next to Pisa centrale. I'd give about 2 stars for the room and general condition of the hotel. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable it was let down with poor decoration and overdue refurb. Holes in walls, need of redecorating and fefit. We had an adjoining room and could hear everything on the other side...even zipping up their case...poor. NH need to do a walk around and see the problems here. Paid £135 per night. Don't think I got my money's worth. No fault of the staff they can only work with what they've got. Come on NH.

I booked this hotel after seeing another reviewer say that they stayed here as a solo female traveller and found it clean and safe. I would echo this reviewer's comments. I stayed here for five nights, and used Pisa as a base to travel to other places (namely Lucca, Firenze, and Siena) so wanted somewhere within a reasonable walking distance of the train station as I envisioned returning to the hotel when it was dark. I took the 'Pisa mover' shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale station (which cost €5 and took around 5 minutes), and then the walk to Hotel Bologna with my suitcase was in pretty much a straight line through the main square and down paved and well lit streets. It took around 7 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. I arrived at Hotel Bologna at around 10:00 and was able to leave my suitcase in a secure room (no charge) whilst I spent the day exploring Pisa. I came back around 18:00, collected my case, and formally checked in (although I could have checked in at 13:30) before heading out for dinner. Staff were mainly young and male, and were pleasant and spoke very good English. I was allocated room 16 which was on the first floor and overlooked the small car park and a patio area. There was no external noise apart from the odd aeroplane which cannot be helped anywhere in Pisa, although I imagine that (1) people might use the patio for drinks in better/warmer weather which would bother me if they were rowdy; and (2) people in the rooms which overlook the road at the front of the hotel (Via Giuseppe Mazzini) might experience a bit of traffic noise. The internal walls seemed quite thin and I suspect that the bathroom of the adjoining room was located right next to my bed as it was noisier than expected when they were having a shower and talking in the bathroom. However, luckily, the people next door weren't particularly noisy and showered at a reasonable time, so it didn't bother me per se. I stayed in a single room (single bed with en-suite) which was definitely big enough for just myself/did not feel cramped. The room was decorated in a more 'traditional Tuscan style' (think greens, reds, and golds) so not particularly 'instagram worthy' but neither am I. The room and bathroom felt and were kept very clean by housekeeping, as were the bedding and towels. The bathroom contained a toilet, shower cubicle with sliding doors, bidet, sink with large mirror, tissue dispenser, sanitary bag dispenser, toilet brush, bin with lid, and hairdryer. You receive complimentary shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, vegetable based soap bar, shower cap, and shoe sponge. In the bedroom there is another bin and a desk and chair with large mirror. Underneath the desk is a mini fridge containing a range of drinks and snacks, which I removed and instead used the fridge to store my own food and drink which I purchased from a Carrefour Express minimart which was a circa 5 minute walk away near the main shopping street. We stayed for 4 nights in Pisa at the Hotel La Pace. Pisa is a very interesting city, clean with some great eating places. Also very good for anyone with a gluten intolerance. We stayed at the Hotel La Pace which deserves 5 stars. Clean, friendly staff and great breakfast. we did experience a couple of 'drop outs' with the Wifi but that is the only negative thing about this hotel.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 days and we loved every minute ! It was amazing ! People were lovely and anything we needed help with such as public transport or ordering a taxi they were happy to help. We booked breakfast included which was definitely worth it as the breakfast had a variety of options and it was delicious. The location of the hotel wasn’t in the central of Pisa but still a great place to have it and a bus stop is right outside the hotel so once we had figured out the bus system it was super useful. Overall a great hotel and great customer service.

My wife and I stayed for two nights, a Friday and Saturday. We were unable to check in until 40 minutes after our room was supposed to be ready, check in was disorganised and the taxi we booked while checking in arrived 24 hours early at 5am with reception ringing us to wake us up. We went down to breakfast, arriving at 9.35am. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am. Hardly and food was left, just trays with crumbs where food had once been. No bread, no pastries, just a few bits of ham, salami and cheese and that was about it. Other people who arrived before us were also in the same situation. I gave up and went back to the room feeling disgruntled while my wife stayed and had a coffee and a few morsels, even the coffee was difficult to obtain. The hotel itself is interesting, but is in need of some TLC, the toilet was a bit smelly and the room was very tired looking. We had a room at the front overlooking the river. The air con worked ok so we were able to close the window and shutters to keep the street noise down but it was still quite noisy with traffic and the noise of people shouting etc until the early hours, to be fair it was the weekend so not entirely unexpected. Great location, but I get the feeling they rely on this and the history of the hotel to fill their rooms, simple complacency. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Cleanliness not great, such as stained upholstery on chairs. Would not stay there again. Overall disappointed, if I were you find somewhere else, too expensive for the standard of accommodation and service.

Terrible hotel- dirty, leaks in the bathroom and horrendous staff. Only positive was the food was good. We asked to move rooms because there was a drilling tools exhibition outside our bedroom from 9-10pm whilst we were trying to sleep because Vueling airlines had canceled our flight and put us on a flight which required us to be collected at 3:45am the following morning. We were also told that the people running the exhibition had booked the hotel before us and could make noise until 12am. Staff like this will cause the hotel to have no more guests- good luck.

Overall it is good, the room is spacious and not crowded at all, and the bathroom is quite large. The heating in the room is adequate, so you have to lower the temperature when you come in. Breakfast is charged separately, not particularly rich, there are many types of bread but no leafy greens, and coffee is exquisite. There is a free pizza map in the shop, there is a free parking lot, open air but very safe. Drive to the Leaning Tower of Pisa in less than ten minutes.

Pisa City Center Pisa|0.82km from city center
This hotel, now called Hotel Villa Tower Inn , is definitely a 3-star hotel -- as indicated in the Trip Advisor description here and NOT 4-star as suggested by their logo and promotions. I suppose it may be a decent 3-star hotel: quaint, near the only real attractions that draw you to Pisa, easy-to-find, with 24-hour reception, a mini-bar fridge, LCD TV, etc. I understand from some reviews that there are renovated rooms. Not 207, although the bathroom sports updated amenities. The paint is aging and the decor is ”charming” where charm stand-ins for ”subpar” like ”antique” stands-in for ”old.” The headboard has probably seen better days and seen many things. I say that because this is the ”Romantic” room. It's romantic because with more than one person in the room there is going to be a lot of touching--intended or not. The ceiling is very high: eyeballing it, the height of the room is easily 20% more than either its length or width. Continuing on the theme of odd perspectives and charm, there is an armour in the room. It is perfectly serviceable, though only Michael Jordan could use the top of the two clothes rods. It is 3” short of the 8' height of a basketball rim. (I measured.) How such a guest would fit for sleep is a whole other question... The room has what seems to be an anemic little A/C that turns out to be surprisingly up to the job at least through the night. It was so hot out this week that we hardly bothered to open the shutters (inside or out), except to note that the view from this room is of a wall and hospital parking area/park. I'm trying not to be too *****y because the hotel can't possibly live up to my expectations of a 4-star hotel. It shouldn't have to... unless, of course, its logo suggests that it has 4-stars.

Wonderful service, wonderfully located hotel. A short walk to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, restaurants everywhere and a lovely gelato shop about 5 minutes away. A 12 minute walk from the Pisa Centrale train station so this hotel is extensive convenient. Breakfast was included in my room package that I booked for my family so every morning we would go to the pastry shop right around the corner where breakfast is served, a coffee drink and a delicious pastry to start us on our day. Next time we are in Pisa again we will DEFINITELY stay at Leonardo Hotel again…..until next time.

We stayed in Pisa for one night. The communication with the hotel was excellent even though I reserved the room just a few minutes before arriving. The staff was wonderful, both at the front desk and at the breakfast buffet. Based on the Staff's recommendation we found also a great restaurant nearby. The breakfast was very nice, good quality local products, the check-in and out process was fast, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

we stayed here for one night - it's an ok hotel, walking distance from the train station which was a priority for us. The rooms were clean and in reasonable order and the breakfast was good. The one issue for us was the noise of the elevator - we were in room 112 which is located next to the elevator shaft - it was noisy as the lift seemed to be operating throughout the night.
