I would describe myself as a “non-guest” as I reserved and booked here, thinking it was a dog-accepting hotel. But at checkin, there was a sign “no dogs in rooms” - so I was in a quandary. When I iexclaimed at my confusion and error, the receptionist was totally cool and maximum helpful - he called a sister hotel, transferred my reservation and payment to them, pre-checked me in, and never broke a swear, just “happy to help ma’am. “ Great service! Excellent staff! Thanks so much!
We booked an ocean view suite with kitchen, fireplace and bath tub. The stay was very relaxing and comfortable. We made our own meals and enjoyed the views outside. The hotel is very conveniently located to a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. We also enjoyed the pool and the hot tub located at the ground floor. Underground parking is spacious and safe.
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise ridge, our 1 bedroom junior suite was very nice, quiet and comfortable. Really nice outdoor pool and beautiful grounds. TV box could use an update but otherwise all good.
This was my first time ever staying here and I was very impressed. I will definitely be coming back to the Bayside Resort in the future.
The staff from the moment I walked in the door were amazing. They were super polite and very helpful and very informative for all my questions and needs. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I came there for a relaxing weekend and got just that. The restaurant and lounge staff were so nice and on the ball. It was very busy there but they never skipped a beat and always made me feel like I was the only one in the room. I was super impressed with this.
It was disappointing that there was no hot tub as it was dealing with repairs at the time, hey these things happen, but the pool was great and the workout room/gym was very impressive as well.
Location of this resort is amazing, honestly can’t get much better. Spectacular views on beachfront to one the most popular beaches in this region. What a beautiful spot!!
I feel like I can go on and on, all and all I had a great experience at the Bayside Resort and I will definitely be back soon!!
Located in a motor hotel not far from the city, there is a coffee shop and fast food restaurant not far from the door. The rooms are very clean, tidy and large, suitable for 3-4 people or families. The breakfast is not good but it is very good and fresh.

As you enter the property you can drive right up to the private entrance and park in the carport. Guests have private use of the entire suite. You will access the suite in the home with the passcode. You enter into the kitchen bar where you will find a small sink, dishrack, microwave and refrigerator. The fridge contains a filtered water pitcher, ice and your choice of "cream" for your coffee & tea. The doorway to your right is to the private lounge which includes a Keurig coffee bar, kettle, a single bed\sofa lounger, 2 occasional chairs and a TV with /Blu-ray/DVD player. Note: their is access to an extensive library of movies and series at your request. Down the hall to the right is the full bathroom equipped with eco refillable toiletries and fluffy white bath towels and face cloths to enjoy the soaker tub and shower. Across the hall is the master bedroom void of any media devices. The queen size bed is covered with a mattress encasement, a wool filled mattress cover, cotton sheets, duvet and a bedspread. Sorry no pets. Located only a 5 min drive to the beach or 15 min walk, grocery, liquor, restaurants within walking distance. Private, fenced safe yard with garden. Home is cleaned by one of the owners who cares tremendously about your time away being the best! 55 inch Smart TV in living room w full cable and sports channels, master bedroom 55 inch streaming smart tv and other bedrooms is a 32 inch steaming smart TVs. Netflix is already set up.Ceiling fans in every bedroom. Master has a King bed, second bedroom has a Queen w double. Plus in living room is a new sofa bed with Queen. There is no lobby welcoming you, but a Front desk running 7am-12am everyday in a room served with free drinks and magazines. We appreciated the early check-in at around 2.30pm, which was 1.5 hour before the normal check-in time. The check-in was quick and smooth.
There was no hair dryer in our room. When you wanna make a phone call for help, there is no landline telephone in the hotel room, meaning that you have to walk out to the office to ask for a dryer. Luckily, we found it out an hour before mid night and the front desk was in the storage room.
There is no amenities here besides of a free access to the mini golf course opposite the road. It will be boring during rainy days, especially the shops nearby closed early around 5pm. The location is great, right to the main road. This hotel company also owns Tide’s Inn and the Mini Golf Course where they are at other two corners of the intersection. Mini golf is free to access and the pool table is CAD2 for each game.
The upside of this hotel room is that everything in this room is newly built. Many plugs on the wall. There is a. Work desk, containers for your belongings, a fridge, a microwave, a TV, a clothes rack, a luggage rack and a coffee maker. We love the mattress here, unlike those in the old hotels. They are firm and supportive to my back. Also, the car is just outside our door, it makes the luggage unloading very convenient and quick.
There is a big window with mosquito net in our room, but the window faces inside the car park, where people would walk around, drop on and off their luggage. We don’t feel private not to put the curtain down, and the sun light couldn’t come into the room when the curtain is down. Especially during the days we don’t use the air conditioning or heater, we can always hear the noises from next door, outside the car park and the main road.
Also, we found that the bedsheets were wrinkled when we flipped over the duvet. Not sure if the bed sheet was not ironed or was not changed to a new one.
There is no desk lamp on the desk meaning that if I turn on the main lights, the lights on top of two beds will be very bright and disturbing to whom is sleeping. There is laundry room with 1 washing and drying machine on site. It charges CAD1-1.5 for each laundry by card payment via an app according to the front desk. There is no iron equipment in your room, not sure if you can borrow one by asking the front desk.
Reminded to bring your own slippers, tooth brush and paste. And always check what you need is missing for your stay before the front desk closing.
