The space
The Casita is a quaint, 2 bedroom, 1 bath home complete with an additional laundry area, eat-in-kitchen, dining room, large living room and outdoor patio space.

The primary suite consists of a king-sized bed with a dedicated workspace and large closet filled with extra bedding supplies.

The secondary suite is just off of the main bathroom, and is made up of a queen size bed and another large closet space. Both rooms have portable heaters to ensure a comfortable heating experience for each guest's taste, as well as white noise machines for added comfort.

The bathroom has a tub/shower combo, perfect or families.

Find many relaxing places to sit and unwind in the living room near the gas-fireplace. Enjoy a streaming service on our smartTV, or listen to some jams from the bluetooth speaker in the dining room while you enjoy a home cooked meal.

French doors lead out to the patio area where there is a comfortable outdoor dining area, a wonderful place to enjoy a morning brew. Another private and fenced yard awaits on the other side of the house for those look to capture some sun in a more private area.

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is ideal for a group retreat to nature. With 1 full kitchen, 2 kitchenettes, 4 dining areas, 2 living rooms, front/back gardens, 2 patios, groups can gather here for time together, but also enjoy time apart. Lounge in the garden by one of the 2 propane fire pits, 2 fountains, outdoor stove, and grill, as ravens circle through the towering redwoods all around you. Just be forewarned, you might never want to leave!

This home is convertible. Keep all the doors open and you have 1 large home. Close a couple of doors and you have 3 separate apartments. It can sleep up to 13 people with the following layout: 3 private bedrooms with queen beds, 1 private bedroom with a twin bed, 1 living room with a queen futon, 1 living room with a queen fold out sofa bed and a large single sofa-bed, 1 dining area/sitting room with a twin bed.

Please understand this is a gathering house, but *not* a party house. House rules are strictly enforced to keep the home and neighborhood safe and pleasant for everyone.

It is the perfect launching point for every kind of adventure Northern California has to offer. From the house, walk 5 minutes to amazing hike/bike trails, drive 5 minutes to downtown Arcata/Cal Poly Humboldt, 10 minutes to Arcata Marsh and Humboldt Bay, or 15 minutes to a variety of pristine beaches. Visit Trinidad and further north to the most extensive lagoon system in the United States. Hike through trees up to 3000 years old in either of the major redwood parks 40 minutes south and north. Or head east into the mountains to the 6 rivers area for outrageous scenery and river sports. Humboldt is all about NATURE: Hike, bike, surf, raft, kayak, paddle board. LOCATION: Our place is a two-story house ideally located right across the street from Arcata Community Forest. From here you only need a 2-min drive to get to Cal Poly Humboldt University. Close to Arcata city center, where you can explore the Farmer's Market at the plaza every Saturday.

PET: We allow up to two pets per stay, with a pet fee (*please include your pets in the booking*). Pets are NOT allowed on furniture. Please DO NOT leave pets unattended.

INTERNET: We pay for gigabyte internet service. Our place is perfect for remote working that requires video calls.

THE HOUSE: Spacious two-story house with a total size of 2,425 sqft. Can host 8 people very comfortably. Second floor: living room, full kitchen , dining area, sun room; 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and 2 full bathrooms. There are a total of 15 stairs to get to the second floor. First floor: living room, kitchenette, 1 full bedroom, 1 full bathroom, pool table, arcade game, laundry room. This floor is also accessible from the garage without stairs.

BABY STUFF: We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs. Some baby supplies (high chair, stroller, rocking horse, Pack n’ play, switch covers can be found around the house or upon asking).

Guests have access to the entire house including the backyard. We have only exterior cameras at the property for security reasons.

Guest access
Guests will have access to two parking spots designated to the unit just outside of the alley access area (or about 100 feet from the garage/entry point to the unit). Guests will have to use a keypad to open the garage, and from the garage there are two small flights of stairs before you arrive at the unit. The only way in and out of the unit is through the garage/exterior door in the garage.

Guests will have access to the entire unit, including the patio area and secondary suite. There is a large laundry room with in-unit washer and dryer, usage of which is included in your stay.
Other things to note
The only bathroom has both a shower and bathtub that are seperate from each other in the bathroom. For those staying out in the guest suite, please note that you will have to cross the outdoor patio to the main house in order to use the bathroom. The bathroom has it's own private entrance and is not an en suite to the primary bedroom.

There are two flights of stairs that must be taken to get to the main entrance. The only way to get in and out of the unit is through the garage/exterior door in the garage. The space
This is a private unit that is detached to the main house in beautiful bayside CA. It is has been recently renovated and upgraded with all new appliances, king-size bed, and large, open floor plan living/kitchen/and dining area perfect for unwinding after a long day of adventuring.
Guest access
This unit is detached from the main house, but shares a wall with the laundry facility that the main house uses. There is no guest access to the laundry facility/ there is a smart lock on the laundry room door in your unit. You will have access to the entire unit during your stay, and the small patio area just outside of the front entrance. There is a private driveway area for parking and an electronic keypad for entering the unit.
Other things to note
There is a Ring doorbell on the front door. This unit is best for only 2 guests, and it is not pet friendly. This attractive cottage is in the heart of Arcata, only 3 blocks from Wildberries Marketplace, for all your grocery shopping desires, and 7 blocks from the Arcata Plaza. It’s a short walk over to Humboldt State University, where you can catch the latest shows at the Van Duzer Theatre, everything from Merle Haggard and Joan Baez to Steel Pulse.

There are numerous delectable restaurants within easy walking distance, and a coffee shop and several cafes around the corner. Every Saturday during the season there is a large Farmer’s Market on the Plaza featuring live music and fresh local food.

After a long day of exploring beautiful Humboldt County, come home to a comfortable queen size bed or relax and enjoy the view from the cozy furniture in the living room.
