This lovely small hotel has simple (not overly decorated), clean rooms, which is all we need for the basics. What makes it extraordinary is the restaurant--amazing food--and especially the staff. Silvano could not be more helpful. He is always willing to suggest a parking area in whichever hilltop town we want to visit on any day, and he was willing to call and make sure that the restaurants he recommended for lunch were open in April 2022 as establishments were rebounding from winter and/or covid closure. Antonio is the perfect head waiter. My sense is that he reads people extremely well and responds to different guests in the way that is most comfortable for them. He is always professional, but if he senses, as he did with us, that we're open to being more familiar and friendly, he responds with wonderful humor. And other staff, with whom we had less contact, were also very helpful. We never want to leave after a few days, and we come back each time we're in Italy.

What an incredible stay. We were greeted by name as our driver pulled up to their hotel. The property is beautifully built and maintained and the landscaping is a picturesque oasis. Our room was clean and refreshed at least twice a day (without asking). Due to the 90+ degree weather, we really appreciated having a minibar in our room. The breakfast area has a multitude of fresh fruit, kefir, fresh baked pastries, and juices. Antonio and Lorenzo provide amazing service for their dinner guests. The food was quite tasty and the presentation was top notch. Kudos to Silvano, the hotel manager, for really keeping tabs on everything that we had planned. He even offered to take our breakfast order despite having to leave at 5:40 a.m. in the morning. He ended up packing us nice to-go bags with bottled water and muffins. I highly recommend Relais Osteria Dell'Orcia! They really go out of their way to make sure you have a great time!
