Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM. We kindly ask that you refrain from hosting parties or creating excessive noise during your stay, as we strive to maintain a peaceful environment for both our guests and neighbors. Amplified outdoor sounds are strictly prohibited.

Since tides affect swimming, fishing, and beachcombing, it’s always best to check the tide schedule before heading out.

HOUSE & COMMUNITY RULES
At Bodega, we embrace the true essence of community living. With no apps like DoorDash, Instacart, or Uber available, we focus on offering a personal, hands-on experience.

PETS
Our pet fee is $350/stay charged at check-out. The fee goes to the cleaner for the extra work required after a pet stays. Pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.

SECURITY
For security, there is a ring camera on the exterior of the front door inside this Wander. There are no other cameras inside your Wander home.

NO SMOKING
Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the home. A fine of $1,000 will be applied to any guest found violating this policy.

EVENTS
Parties or events are not allowed unless prior written approval is given by our team. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a fine.

TWO BLOCKS AWAY

There are at least 4 GREAT (dog-friendly) restaurants with inside and outside seating and breathtaking views. WHALE WATCHING and crabbing or fishing charters ONLY 2 blocks away from the Bungalow.

RENT A KAYAK and just walk out the front door of the Bungalow. In 2 minutes you’ll reach the edge of the bay, where you can get into your kayak and paddle around the bay to watch the sea lions, otters and many, many, many bird species.

RENT A BICYCLE and peddle out to the Bodega Head (a 4 mile ride from the Bungalow). On your way, have a crab sandwich, calamari or chowder at Fisherman’s Cove, or take a picnic lunch to BODEGA Head and breath in the most SPECTACULAR VIEW OF THE OCEAN you’ve ever seen AT THE EDGE OF THE CONTINENT!

RENT A HORSE at FIVE BROOKS (formerly Chanslor Ranch—1.5 miles from the Bungalow) and take a BEACH ride along the edge of the waves, or go on a WETLANDS trail ride overlooking the ocean and Salmon Creek, or a PICNIC RIDE or SUNSET RIDE to the top of "Eagle View" mountain with a view that stretches south along the edge of the Northern California continent all the way to Pt. Reyes!

VISIT the town of Bodega (5 miles—Hwy 1 to Hwy 12) and see the "schoolhouse" and church where Alfred Hitchcock filmed scenes shown in "THE BIRDS” movie (available to watch later in your Bungalow). Have a great burger at the Casino and browse the galleries and gift shops in this quaint little, “walk-around” town.

VISIT the town of Valley Ford (8 miles down Hwy 1) and have a great breakfast at Estero, or an Italian dinner (pasta, seafood or Prime Rib) at Denucchi’s. YUM!!!

DOG-LOVERS can romp at the newly created, off-leash dog-park beach at Doran Park, hike down to The Pinnacle’s beach, or head up to Goat Rock and Blind beach (off-leash) for a long walk, and a picnic.

AFTER a GREAT DAY in our seaside town, come back to your cozy Bungalow pull the BLACKOUT CURTAINS closed, and watch a movie (Netflix, Prime, etc.,). Then, a great night’s sleep on a very comfortable, queen-sized, memory-foam topped mattress that 99% of our guests LOVE!!!

PROVISIONS:

The Bungalow has a combined living room/kitchen with a big, soft loveseat, lots of pillows, and throws to cuddle up in. The kitchen is fully equipped (pots/pans/dishes, utensils, spices, etc.,) with a dishwasher, refrigerator, stovetop range, microwave, Mr. Coffee pot, toaster and toaster oven. The bathroom has complimentary hygiene supplies, a tub, shower and ample supply of towels, extra towels (and "dog" towels).

This house was purchased and furnished at the end of 2022, and just about everything is new, from the flooring, to the furnishings, to bedding, towels and kitchenware. You can look forward to relaxing in a large (3280 sq ft) home where everything was selected for your comfort and enjoyment.

Just out the front door, you'll find the Shorttail Gulch hiking trailhead, which leads to a 0.5 mile trail down to a secluded beach. If you prefer to stay on pavement, you'll be treated to stunning views in every direction as you walk around this peaceful neighborhood. Deer, rabbits, and quail are all part of the local community, as well as a group of grazing dairy cows across the street to the east.

After a day spent at the beach, wine-tasting, or local sightseeing, your group may return home to stunning sunsets, viewed either from one of the decks or through the large picture window in the living room. Your Bodega Bay Home directly over the water!

Just imagine coming home and enjoying scenic Bodega Bay....with private bayfront balcony over the water. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Bodega Bay. You'll enjoy watching the seals, heron, gulls, cormorants, white pelicans, brown pelicans and sandpipers right from your deck over the tidal waters.

You will enjoy a fully equipped, modern kitchen. Beautiful granite countertops with a gas stove, full size refrigerator and oven, microwave, and dishwasher.

This two bedroom, two bath vacation rental is part of a three unit property, and the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate. This is an upstairs unit and our guests need to be able to climb stairs. Guests that book this unit also need to be mindful of the guests that may be booked in the unit below you. The noise transfers in our historic home. We ask that you remove shoes inside (bring slippers or socks) and please, no running or jumping. For this reason, we encourage our guests that have younger children or pets to book their stay in our lower unit one.

Living room and both bedrooms are equipped with smart TV's. Guests will need to log into their own streaming apps (Netflixs, Hulu, etc.). Views of the bay from your bedroom windows...watch the sunrise as you wake up in your queen sized comfortable beds. The living room area has a wood stove to keep you cozy. Guests need to bring their own small sized wood logs (16" or smaller), duraflame or presto logs. A private balcony hangs over the water with 4 hightop chairs & a weber grill (guests please bring charcoal). You will enjoy free high speed Starlink Internet / WIFI.

We are centrally located along the scenic and dramatic Sonoma Coast. It's just an hour and 15 minutes from San Francisco, and less than an hour from Napa and Sonoma. The Russian River is just 15 minutes away, so there are literally hundreds of activities to choose from during your Bodega Bay vacation! Or you can stay put and just enjoy the wildlife and wonderful ambiance of Bodega Bay.

Our home is a QUIET, peaceful home directly on the shores of Bodega Bay. The only sounds, noise we want our guests to remember are those of bodega tides rolling in and out, birds, seals, otters, the fog horn and ocean waves crashing in the distance. Please be respectful to our neighbors and other guests. This is NOT a place to come and have a loud party.

Our home is a QUIET, peaceful home directly on the shore of Bodega Bay. The only sounds, noise we want our guests to remember are those of Bodega tides rolling in and out, birds, seals, otters and the fog horn and ocean waves crashing in the distance. Please be respectful to our neighbors and other guests. This is NOT a place to come and have a loud party.
