The hotel view is absolutely stunning, and the location is great. However, the room was small, and the facilities were quite old. The public restroom in the lobby had a strong, unpleasant smell. There were people smoking on the way to the hotel, which was a bit off-putting. For breakfast, the cups provided looked like they had been used by others, so I'd recommend bringing your own sanitizing wipes. There was no drinking water provided in the room, and even when I asked for it, they wouldn't give me any, which was really strange. The Location is just next to Cinelandia and Lapa in the City Center. The service at the reception was not so good.. You had to wait untii 3 p.m and you could deposit your baggage only upon paying! After reading so many bad reviews about the hotel i didnt expect much. But exactly the opposite happened. Checkin went fast, room was big and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. The location and view from the top floor exceptional. You cross the street and you are on the beach where they provide complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. On our last day Vitoria allowed us to keep our room until evening at no extra cost, bcs our plane didnt leave until eight oclock. We definitely will be back on our next trip to Rio.FromTWD 5,231

Take a deposit of £58 upon arrival. Rooftop bar never gave you change they would sometimes make you sign a receipt other times wouldn't so upon check out claimed we never paid one bar bill which we paid every time. They later took £60 from my account for 2 beers I'd already paid for. I emailed several times they choose to ignore. They even ignored trip.com. untrustworthy robbing people do not go. They removed table and chairs from 7.30pm new years eve forcing people to stand til after the fireworks. There was just no need for this as there was ample room. To be honest, the impression of the hotel is twofold. On the one hand, it is an exclusive hotel, on the other hand, there were so many people that I did not feel exclusivity. You can't push through the pool. For some reason, in order to get to the pool and the beautiful view, you need to ask the hostess (who, of course, ask with a menacing look if you have a reservation and that there are no places) and you stand behind a red rope that blocks your way. I was not very pleased with this. Perhaps this excludes a super big crush, but the effect itself that they are blocking my way for my money is not pleasant.
A very interesting mattress, more like a feather bed. Soft, comfortable. The room is very, very dark - I did not like this either.
It is very interesting that at breakfast nowhere is it offered (no picture/message, the waiters do not say) that you can order waffles, avocado toast, or something else. Why is this kept a secret? Why should I, upon accidentally seeing waffles on another table, ask: where can I find waffles?.. I don’t understand.FromTWD 11,184

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, answering your questions! The food at the breakfast buffet was very varied and delicious, even chia and flax seeds were available! March 8 is International Women's Day, and during breakfast, the restaurant gives each lady a box of cake, which is really thoughtful! The most unfortunate is that the spacing between rooms is too thin, the lady in the next room watches TV until midnight every night, the volume is very loud, making noise, affecting our sleep, fortunately asked the hotel staff to communicate with her, the situation has improved, we do not have to change rooms!FromTWD 2,088
