The hotel room, amenities, food, location etc. were excellent, and the bellboys in particular were very helpful and kind. The reason I have not given an excellent rating is related to the topic about which I complained repeatedly to the staff and they were not able to or willing to solve. There was a group of 6 guests (three couples) that were staying in the Vista Lago rooms below us and they were smoking ********* all day on their terrace. The smell came onto our balcony continuously and we could barely sit outside or keep the door open, something we paid for. Apparently nothing could be done beyond asking them to be considerate, which they were not. This was after I made 2-3 complaints and there was usually no follow up from the staff providing me updates on the matter unless I asked. I was told that they could not prove for certain the guests were smoking drugs, but that explanation does not seem credible. They could have easily come to my room and seen them do it with their own eyes, if they chose to. Additionally, if any guest smoked in the room and damaged it you would charge them anyways for the damage without seeing them do it first hand. I am surprised that these guests were allowed to break both the hotel's regulations and Italian law openly on the property with no repercussions. My guess is that they were spending a lot of money and management was willing to put up with it at the expense of other guests. Anyways, overall I had a good time but I will likely not return to this property in the future.

The Vista Palazzo is a fantastic hotel, the view is unmatched, the room is unmatched but the highlight of our Como trip has been the secrets of Como curated by Alberto! We feel that we’ve seen Como in a true local way! Sights & Sounds, People & Places; We experienced it all. I’m not a usual review writer, so this is truly an authentic review. Anyone who’s looking to come to Como, two things you must do: - Stay At Vista Palazzo - Meet & Trust Alberto Politeness, Courteous, Diligence are just too few words to describe the experience that was carefully curated to suit our taste. My wife and I recently enjoyed a memorable six night stay at Villa Flori. There’s so much to like about this hotel but the key for me is it’s lakeside position, with the road behind it, which gives uninterupted views across the lake and over to Como town. Breakfast in the garden at the water’s edge, watching the lake come to life with boats and wildlife and stunning mountainous scenery as a backdrop was a magical experience. The breakfast selection was excellent and the staff took care of every little detail to make sure our days started perfectly. Our top floor room was well laid out and comfortable with a bath and, most importantly, a balcony that gave us incredible, wide-angle, views over the lake. We enjoyed evenings just watching life go by on the water, rowers, seaplanes, birds and ferries all doing their thing as the sun set behind us. The location is superb as a base for exploring the area. Como town is 15 min walk mostly through garden parks and waterfront paths. There’s a ferry stop at Tavernola, a few mins walk north, which gives access to all the main towns and many smaller villages. You can also book a boat taxi to collect you at the hotel wharf, or travel by car, bicycle or bus. An all-round excellent hotel in unrivalled location with dedicated and professional staff. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Como (I hope we do).

WOW - this is just the most magnificent boutique hotel and a truly exceptional position. It’s super close to the lake AND shops AND restaurants - we only had a day and a half but I would gladly come back for a few days. One of our rooms had a window view directly our over the lake (302) and the other had a little balcony that offered views of the lake. (403) . I preferred the 302 room but my daughter said that it was a bit noisy due to the stream of cars. The rooms are comfy although I always dislike the joined single beds to create a king bed with a join. I always seem to end up stuck in the join (no matter how small the crack😂) The decor of the hotel is like a plush reminder of the 1930s - I felt like George Cluney might come round a corner at any moment. The building is superb and VERY picturesque. Service has been excellent and we feel very privileged. We have just finished breakfast in the most divine outdoor setting in the hotel grounds overlooking the lake. It is a bright blue sky and the wind is calm - I don’t think life gets much better than this.. Last night we dined at Ristorante Sottovoce which was a mere 100m away and absolutely as MUST do while staying at the perfect venue. “It’s such a shame we’re only here for one night” , my wife just said. But we still have a few hours to do a guided but tour with a private captain/guide - so there is still more special-ness to enjoy.

The staff here truly made this stay amazing. My husband and I were eloping to Como and then continuing on our honeymoon during our stay here. That means we needed all of our shipping from Los Angeles organized for my wedding dress and my husbands suit, as well as all of our other clothing items that wouldn't continue the trip in our luggage. Francesco helped me every step of the way. When we checked in, he was ready with our shipment!! On the day of our check out, he was not working, but Cecelia was informed and made sure to take care of our return shipment. The two of them seriously took so much stress off of my plate. Barbara and Ermelinda were so attentive and kind at the front desk. They made check in and any questions we had so easy to take care of. Davide, Matteo, and Ali at the pool were hysterical and hospitable. The pool at this hotel was fantastic and these three made the time spent up there so welcoming. I wish I could have spent the whole trip up there. Sara on the Marketing team was the star of our stay. We needed an intimate place to take our first look photos and video shots because the weather wasn't panning out on that morning. She made it happen. She was kind, reasonable, and so creative. Without her, our elopement day would not have been so special. Thank you so much to the Hilton Lake Como team. (The hotel was also BEAUTIFUL with an amazing breakfast buffet. About a 20 minute walk into Como proper. Will definitely be returning!!)
