What a great, friendly staff. Convenient spot in Cherbourg near the coast just 2k west of the city center. Le Comptoir Libanais (Lebanese) and La Regence (French) are two great spots to eat. The daily breakfast is great and the dinner (M-Th) is actually really good. Fitness: “Le Spot” is a calisthenics/ parkour park (and full skate park) 300m from the hotel. It is really cool. You can jog to the ruins of a 12th century Abbey and the running trails are all over. I was there on business but I would like to return. I would definitely stay at the Shelder again!

The hotel is very old and very old. Arrived in the room very small at the roof of the sofa, I'm surprised to see the door that gives on the outer giving 1 meters from the parking, open with rain water into, The room was quite cold. In addition, the idea of taking a hotel, avoids very morning wake-ups, wake up at 5:30 by the noise of the other rooms with wake-ups, sneezing, nose mowing, teeth washing and I pass you all the conversations that you hear. The staff is very sympathetic, but it's not the main thing you're looking for when you book a hotel. It's even the comfort and the calm.
