Perfect location for us. Close to cafes/eateries, St. Mary Cathedral, quiet at night... Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would be much better if the lighting in the corridor is brighter, also in the room. We found it a bit too dark. We did not have any meals at the hotel. What I find disappointing about Marriott Bonvoy's hotels : internet. the message that it is insecure and the complicated process to get access have been quite annoying. I tried to book via Marriott Bonvoy's apps, but rate is significantly higher than OTA. Love Westin's architecture and surrounding (spacious walkway). Could be better with heated pool.

We stayed as a family with a 2year old. I wouldn't consider this a 5 star, perhaps more of a 4 star. When we arrived late at night, tired from a long drive, there was no bell boy to assist us with luggage direct to room, and esp with a kid in tow it was difficult. However one of our bags broke and the staff did help us get a bag from their store. Also no toothbrush was provided upon check in day and we found out next day only that it has to be requested, seriously, this is a very basic necessity to have at least for 1st day. The decor was intended to be classy but we found it a tad bit dark. The worst part was the bed was way too soft and sunk in, I had a backache the next days. :( On a positive note the bath tub was huge, toilet was spacious with 2 sinks! My kid enjoyed the bath tub. Also they did prepare the cot in the room when we arrived and I was very pleased. The next day I asked for high chair and it was timely placed at our room when we got back. Overall the staff were responsive. Also the breakfast was Ala carte, not buffet, but it was nicely cooked - however they did not offer a kids menu. The location is close to cbd shopping but do take note parking at hay street has day charges/hourly charges which you should factor to the value of your stay. Most shops closes early around 5pm by the time we got back from our day trips. Overall this hotel was more for couples or business stay and not so kid/family friendl, but that's just my opinion!

I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA. Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM). The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.” They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.

The room was clean, and the family room we booked was quite spacious, with a fridge and microwave, which made it super convenient to heat up takeout. The area around the hotel is packed with all sorts of specialty restaurants, mostly Asian ones. You'll find Vietnamese, Indian, Malaysian, Japanese, Korean, and even Chinese restaurants – basically everything! Right next door to the hotel, there's also a massive Asian supermarket, run by a ********* owner, and it's incredibly well-stocked. Grabbing some instant meals from there can definitely save you money on dining out. The sky in South Australia is always so clear and blue, but the UV is really strong. Luckily, the room had those solid blackout curtains that created a perfect environment for a good night's sleep. Staying at this hotel was just incredibly convenient for eating and shopping.

The lobby and rooms were pretty standard. On the plus side, it had two king-sized beds, which was great for traveling with kids, and the location is right in the city center. Parking across the street is A$30 a day, but you need to get a special parking ticket from the hotel staff first to insert into the boom gate. Finding the parking entrance can be a bit tricky: drive out of the hotel, turn left at the corner, then turn left again at the next intersection, and the parking lot entrance is on the left at the first traffic light. If you park at the hotel's own parking, it's A$45 a day and includes valet service. For breakfast, if adults dine, children eat free. Book with the front desk for A$27 per person, which is a bit cheaper than the usual A$33. Only two bottles of water are provided, so if you're staying for many days, you'll need to get your own water from the dispenser in the lobby.

Had a great 4 nights stay at Four Points By Sheraton Perth. Our flights arrived very early in the morning and requested for earlier check in & we managed to check in around noon . Really nice of them . Our room was big , clean and had nice view of the RAC Arena . The buffet breakfast was yummy with many choices . Staffs at the restaurant were friendly and attentive. Yellow Cat Bus stop to travel within CBD is just opposite hotel and it is free . Took it to Perth Station to change train to Perth Airport. Very convenient. Can easily just walk around for food , shopping & sightseeing . Front desk staffs were awesome too. Thanks for the excellent service and hospitality ! Will definitely stay again .
