The hotel was better than expected. The details were well done, better than the pictures. The management was very meticulous. A very rare experience. The only problem was that it was difficult to communicate. Another group of Chinese tourists' credit cards could not be swiped, and the hotel really did not check them in, and asked them to go out and solve the credit card problem. It was already past 6 o'clock at that time. Remember to communicate with the hotel in advance when checking in with children, otherwise they can also refuse to check in.

We stopped over for a night at the Sandbar Motel. The service was very welcoming and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept really well. The room was clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The Motel is conveniently located on the main road, which has a canal across the street. You can walk along the canal and take a footbridge to the beach or to a good long nature walk. There are a few restaurants nearby. I would recommend this Motel.

Two families traveling together, and this place had two bathrooms and a small kitchen with a dishwasher. We just bought groceries from Woolworths and cooked dinner and breakfast there. It was perfect!

The place is nice and pricewise it was decent. We had a bit of issue trying to access the place; apparently you have to register your mobile number with them so they can sms you the codes. Not sure why they couldn’t email if there was no mobile number registered on the system. However when I called them, they said the sms system was down anyway so they could only give me the entry codes over the phone. I wonder what would have happened if I did not purchase a local prepaid SIM card with voice service. Another issue was no toilet paper in the entire unit. They needed to send someone over to replace it.

It was afternoon when I arrived here, and I felt a little tired. I bought some food and went back to the room to rest. The owner was not there, so he called me and told me the password. I had a good rest. In the evening, when the sun was setting, I drove to see people fishing and what to eat nearby. There are still quite a few, and there are also large supermarkets, making life very convenient. Who will ask me to drive from Sydney to Melbourne in the future? I let him drive by himself, and drove for 5 days, changing accommodation along the way. But looking back, the scenery along the way was pretty good. OK

The dishes in our room were filthy, we ended up having to buy new batteries for the TV remote because the ones in it were flat, we had to call for towels as they were forgotten by house keeping. The lady we spoke to who was working was lovely and the location was pretty good if you don’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of the main strip of Lakes. View was stunning and very close to the pub for meals which was extremely convenient! If it was cleaner and the room more organised it would have been a whole lot better!
