Eliza Thompson House, Historic Inns of Savannah Collection Map, Address, Transportation & Nearest Stations and Airport

Great location. Room was very pretty with 2 wrought iron beds but they were not practical due to the size of the room (there was 3 of us sharing) They took up far too much space and were not easy to navigate around in the night when using the bathroom. The beds however were very comfortable with nice linen and pillows. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade, it looked very tired and quite shabby. Also there was no body wash in the dispenser in the shower so this was a bit of a pain to only discover this once i was in it. The room wasn't serviced so we had no clean towels, once we spoke to reception we were informed we had to request this the day before, we were not told this at check in!! The ice machine directly outside our room kept us awake both nights and the noise from other guests was very loud. Happy hour was good, nice food was laid on & it was nice to sit outside and chat with other guests in the rocking chairs. The entrance door on floor one (off the street) was pretty disgusting and unclean, once you travelled to the 4th floor and exited the elevator it was like a totally different world, that entrance really lets the hotel down. Brice the Valet was a lovely chap, he couldn't do enough to help, a real credit to the River Street Inn

The room was renovated from an old factory building. It has both historical traces and modern style. It is fully equipped and clean. The surrounding area is suitable for leisure and relaxation. The service attitude is also good. I have stayed here twice and I like it very much.

Check in is absolutely effortless and the staff could not be more accommodating. The entrance is very inviting and the staff is so accommodating. Valet was spot on and from valet to check in they were on the spot with assistance If you needed it and autonomy if you preferred to check in on your own.

Great view of the city

The location is superb, convenient for eating and shopping. There is a public parking lot next to it, which is flat and upright. The front desk is welcoming. The downside is that there are no slippers and dental appliances, so you need to bring your own. The room is much smaller than expected, and the soundproofing is not good. It is noisy upstairs and in the corridors in the morning. The breakfast buffet is good.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are amazing, kind and thoughtful and exceedingly helpful. They have a great bar and restaurant, the breakfast is great, as is the espresso machine. Rooms are very clean and well appointed, we had an Andaz suite and enjoyed stretching out. Great central location, close to the river. Had a couple of lovely chats with the GM, who is great. Definitely would stay here again if we come back.
