I stayed here for a few day prior to a tour starting. The room was spacious and I had a nice view of the beach/pool area. The hotel is very well kept and was in a good location, within walkable distance to lots of restaurants and convenience stores. The beach bar staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping and pool attendant were extremely friendly. The food at breakfast had a wide selection and was delicious. It was very relaxing couple of days which was exactly what I was after. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, rooms are clean and spacious. Service on the resort is great. Resort has 3 swimming pools and beachfront. However, the beach was not clean, was a lot of garbage on the beach. Maybe due to a season, we couldn’t swim in the ocean. Overall our stay was pleasant. The main restaurant had strong understanding of dietary restrictions and was able to provide us gluten free meals, including gluten free bread.

A very pleasant trip! Every staff member at the hotel was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Since it was our honeymoon, they even gave us a small cake! The room was spacious, though the furniture was a bit dated, but the view was fantastic, directly facing the infinity pool and the beach. In the mornings, you can go to the beach to watch fishing; there are so many seagulls and crows, and even dogs! If I ever stay here again, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety

I stayed at this hotel for one night. It’s conveniently close to the airport, making it easy to reach in about 30 minutes. If you’re looking to enjoy a lagoon view, this is one of the best options. The breakfast was excellent, featuring both traditional and Western dishes. They also offer a late checkout option at an hourly rate of approximately $5 USD per hour.

This hotel is the most cost-effective in my trip. The previous two adults and one child were all over 2000, but here there is no need to add a bed. It is within three digits. I saw that the room next door costs more than 2,000. The room is large and the balcony is also super large. The front desk helped us upgrade the room for free. The whole hotel feels like a resort. It is in the villa area and very quiet. Next time I come to Negombo, Sri Lanka, I must stay two more nights.

This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

We initially booked for one day, but loved the hotel so much that we extended our stay. Everything was excellent – from the reception and check-in to the pool, beach access, and breakfast. Breakfast had a good variety and was served quickly. There are even squirrels hopping around the hotel! The pool is warm and convenient. There are sun loungers around the pool, and the sun shines directly overhead, perfect for tanning. Beautiful sunsets, and a beach nearby with loungers you can use if you order from the cafe, where you can relax and swim. It's close to the airport, making it ideal for a rest before departure or after arrival. The sea in Negombo was the warmest we experienced during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka.

The hotel I chose for transit in Negombo is roughly equivalent to the level of a three-star hotel in China. The breakfast is self-service with a wide variety of options, and the fruits and banana yogurt are well received. Check-in was very fast, and I give a thumbs up to the guy at the front desk. I gave the guy who carried the luggage a tip of 100 rupees, and he seemed very happy. What I was not satisfied with was that I booked a superior king-size bed room, but ended up getting a double standard room. I don't know if there was a problem with the system. Also, the plug of the washbasin was blocked, and I didn't know how to open it🥹

It's close to the airport. It may be convenient for a little stay due to time. But there are no shops or buses nearby. Nearby bus stop or train station It is difficult to walk without using a taxi or tuk-tuk. There are no amenities. I need to bring it. The room only has a rack, a chair, and a trash can for hanging clothes. There is breakfast. Food is to be eaten on the roof terrace. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 cuisine milk rice, coconut 🥥 used samball served. It was spicy but very delicious. Hotel tuk 🏨 I think the tuk is expensive. I had money troubles. I went shopping at the place I asked for, and it took a long time because the cash register was crowded. I was charged an astonishing amount. ,, I asked why, but the answer was difficult to understand. A little disappointing. It is better to discuss the money with the owner before using it. I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢

It is an exquisite and beautiful small hotel We arrived at the hotel around nine o'clock in the evening. The owner was already waiting there and welcomed us warmly. He also gave us a local sweet and sour drink and then patiently introduced relevant information to us. The homestay is very nicely decorated, the water pressure and temperature are very suitable for showering, there is also a small balcony, and there are no mosquitoes. When I went downstairs at night, there was music playing on the speakers in the living room, it was so romantic! ! ! I walked around the hotel's garden, sat on a rocking chair, and felt the breeze under the lights. It was very comfortable. We agreed on a breakfast time, but he was 20 minutes late and didn't rush us. When we arrived at the restaurant, the proprietress brought us the hot breakfast, and the boss patiently and politely introduced each dish to us. A very rich breakfast, you can choose black tea or coffee, with drinking water and fruit drinks, grilled sausage and lava fried eggs, I love it! Local pasta and fruits, mainly sweet, toasted toast, jam and butter, don't be too perfect~ The boss and his wife are very comfortable to get along with, and their words and actions make people feel very friendly and enthusiastic. When we left, the driver also told us that he thought the boss was a very nice and polite person. It's a pity that I only chose to stay in Negombo for one night. The hotel is about half an hour away from the airport. You can book a shuttle at the front desk for about US$20 per trip. There is a beach downstairs, but the beach is a bit dirty and the sand is co****. The room is quite clean, you need to bring your own slippers, but the soundproofing is average. There is a KTV upstairs and it is a bit noisy before 9pm. There is a bar and swimming pool on the top floor, which is quite large and has a good view. There is a restaurant on the 6th floor. The staff are very enthusiastic, especially the restaurant manager. He is very nice and the pasta is very good. My brother who had a flight to catch a flight told the manager in advance that they can take it away. The price is about the same as at the airport, but his salads are better. There are a lot of colorful peppers and raw onions, and other dishes use some Sri Lankan spices, which are similar to strong curry flavor, so friends who are not used to it should order with caution. Not bad for a one-night transfer between flights.
