Kaj Wong House is a great budget hotel in Mongkok. It’s only around 75 meters from the MTR entrance, so getting around is very convenient. There are also several convenience stores nearby, which makes the location even more practical. For its price of about Php 3,500 per night for three people, the place is very clean. It’s much cleaner compared to many budget hotels in areas like Chungking Mansions. The rooms are small, but that’s normal in Hong Kong, and everything is well maintained. The linens are clean and the hot shower works well. The lady managing the hotel is very accommodating. She allowed us to leave our luggage in the lobby before check-in, and again when we checked out early, which really helped us with our schedule. Overall, Kaj Wong House offers excellent value if you want a budget-friendly, clean, and convenient place to stay in Hong Kong.

I was a bit worried, but I found the hotel entrance quickly. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke Japanese, which was a relief. It's an incredible price considering Hong Kong's small size. The location is great! It's perfect for a place to stay just for sightseeing. If you're shopping and have a lot of luggage, you can just drop it off, take a short break, and then head out again... It's the best! The building itself is old, so some people might like it, but it's well-kept, and there's space under the bed to store suitcases and other items, and there's not a speck of dust on the ground! I was able to blend in with the locals and enjoy the authentic Hong Kong experience! (Though it might not be for those with a germaphobia,) I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique Hong Kong experience. You enter a password when entering the accommodation gate and when entering your room, so it's very safe.

The boss is a handsome guy, very enthusiastic, because of pneumonia, check out early, he gave a refund without saying a word. The area of the hotel is about 150 square meters and there are 8 rooms. The only positive was the good water pressure. There was practically no service to speak of. Thanks to the hotel for allowing a late check-out. The swimming pool is still undergoing maintenance. There are some great local eateries nearby, like Tsui Wah Restaurant and Lok Tin Cafe, and it's within walking distance to shopping malls and popular attractions. You can also take the A21 bus directly to the airport. Although the room is small, it has everything you need. One thing to note is that during the check-out peak from 11 AM to 12 PM, the lobby can get incredibly crowded with hundreds of people – I'm not exaggerating. Most of them are mainland Chinese tourists. If you prefer more privacy and a quieter environment and mind the crowds, you might want to consider other options. However, if value for money is your top priority, this place is a great choice!

I used to stay at a hotel near Mong Kok Station when I was in town for business. This time, I saw a promotional rate for this hotel and decided to give it a try for 5 nights. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained and quite clean. The faucet in the room is a bit too close to the sink, making handwashing a little inconvenient. I'd suggest providing hand soap in the rooms. The restaurant, while not having a huge variety, does make small changes to the menu daily. There's an older chef who often comes out to check empty trays and replenishes food promptly, which is very professional. The front desk staff are friendly and resolve issues quickly. It's close to Olympic Station and the hotel also offers a shuttle, making transportation quite convenient. There are plenty of dining options nearby. I'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed at BP International for two nights in the family room as a family, and overall our stay was very pleasant, mainly thanks to its fantastic location. This hotel has an unbeatable spot for travellers visiting Hong Kong. It is easily accessible from West Kowloon Station, which made our arrival and departure stress-free. We did not need to take long taxi rides or navigate complicated public transport after getting off the high-speed rail. The neighbourhood around the hotel is full of tourist attractions and plenty of dining options. There are countless restaurants, cafes and local eateries just a short walk away, so we never struggled to find meals at any time of day. Conveniently, Jollibee is only two blocks from the hotel entrance, which was a great quick meal option for our family after long days sightseeing. It was wonderful to step outside and immediately have access to food and shops, saving us lots of travel time. While the location was excellent, we did notice a few drawbacks with the room. As expected for Hong Kong accommodation, the family room felt a little small. There was limited floor space once our luggage was unpacked, and moving around was a bit tight. The bunk bed was also not as practical as we hoped. Climbing up and down the double-deck bed was awkward, especially for the older family members in our group. It saved space, but convenience was compromised. On the bright side, the cleanliness, service and location all deserve full marks. The room was immaculately cleaned every day, and the hotel staff were polite, helpful and responsive whenever we needed assistance. The amenities were solid overall, though there is room for minor improvements. For families prioritising convenience and location, BP International is a great pick. If you are okay with a compact room and a less convenient bunk bed, this hotel offers amazing access to West Kowloon and all the nearby sights and restaurants. We would consider staying here again for our next Hong Kong trip, purely for how easy it made our holiday.
