The apartment was very nice. It was simple, but everything was there. Bed is suitable. I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I initially booked for 4 nights because I wasn't sure if it was in a tourist area. However, I extended my stay for another 4 nights. I woke up to the sound of birds singing.And the evening sunsets overlooking the rice field were amazing. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. I rented a bike from them. (in good condition). The sea is a 5-minute drive away. There are shops, food, and laundry nearby. The market is open on Fridays. p.S. If I will be on the island again, I'll stay here.🙌

Great hotel for your money. If you are by car or bike, the best option is parking at each room. Very clean, well-kept area, daily cleaning and change of towels.

Friendly staff, brand new structure full of services and amenities. Good location (20min walking from ”city” center) that ensured us a peaceful sleep for the 3 nights we've been there. Breakfast is served directly on poolside, with the opportunity to choose it the day before. Free Shuttle service from the airport. Recommended.

I absolutely loved the hotel's natural environment. We saw a family of dusky leaf monkeys near our room's balcony, as well as large black squirrels. Hummingbirds frequently visited the balcony garden, and we even spotted greater racket-tailed drongos flying by. On our way back to the room after breakfast, we saw a lizard busily eating in a tree hollow. By the pool, we observed a family of oriental pied hornbills. We were even lucky enough to spot a family of wreathed hornbills on our way to the Thai restaurant. The scenery near the Thai restaurant is beautiful, and we saw white-bellied sea eagles catching fish and brahminy kites soaring over the sea. We joined the hotel's night walk and, led by our guide, saw a mother colugo with her baby, some gliding from tree to tree. We also saw fruit bats, scorpions, dusky leaf monkeys, squirrels, Tokay geckos, oriental pied hornbills, and more. The guide gave us detailed explanations of their habits, which was fascinating. The next morning, we went birdwatching and encountered the same guide. He actually remembered that we really wanted to find a Draco lizard yesterday and asked if we had found one. With his help, we finally found this flying lizard! We are so grateful to him!

The hotel is quite close to the airport, and you can watch planes take off and land from its beach. It's right next to Cenang Beach, and you can walk along the beach from the hotel straight to Cenang. The facilities are probably considered high-end for the area, and the breakfast is rich and varied – definitely recommended. The rooms are individual villas designed in a Southeast Asian style. I'd suggest booking a sea-view room for an even better experience. This time, my friends and I booked a standard room, and because the hotel is quite spread out, our room was a bit out of the way. We had to call for a buggy to get from the room to the lobby. While the hotel service was excellent and the buggies were always prompt, it was still a minor inconvenience.

Objective review: Pros: Most hotel staff were warm, friendly, and enthusiastic. The location boasts beautiful scenery, with wildlife nearby, and it's very close to the jetty. There are also many dining options in Kuah Town. The spa was excellent, though a bit pricey! Cons: The hotel's facilities are outdated, and cleanliness was just average. The toilet had a slight odor, and the sheets had stains, which I later asked staff to replace. The biggest issue is the soundproofing. If you're easily stressed or a light sleeper, seriously consider my advice and avoid this hotel. Perhaps I was unlucky, but for four nights, a Middle Eastern family with two crying children stayed across from us, and their wailing continued past midnight. It was truly frustrating. Thankfully, the platform provided timely feedback and intervention, and the hotel manager offered some gifts and earplugs, but there were still several difficult hours at night. I think a better solution would have been to help us move to a more suitable room, but the manager refused, stating that twin rooms were fully booked. This is definitely incomparable to hotels with excellent service awareness in China. Another major pitfall: The seafood at the hotel's restaurant, Tide, was not fresh and very expensive. Definitely avoid it; don't take my word for it, go try it yourself. My daughter had diarrhea that night, and the hotel later offered some discount compensation. Communicating with foreigners is exhausting, so I won't dwell on it. Finally, since this was a family trip, we focused more on the happy moments. Despite the imperfections, let's just think less about them~ I wish everyone gets to see the beautiful natural scenery of Langkawi.

The hotel is well-maintained, and the breakfast is consistently good! The fishing trip was a lot of fun, caught plenty of fish. However, I'd recommend booking the mangrove tour elsewhere (the hotel's mangrove tour didn't feature any bats). The beach is very clean, but there aren't many small creatures (like hermit crabs...). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Choosing this hotel for our anniversary was definitely the right decision. All in all, it truly is one of Langkawi's top hotels.

The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory, offering enough variety to start the day. We also appreciated having connecting rooms, which were perfect for traveling with family. However, it would be even better if both connecting rooms were equipped with showers instead of only one. When we arrived at 12 PM on August 8th, the female front desk staff completely disregarded our booking information and room availability, directly refusing to check us in and insisting we wait until 3 PM. At 3 PM, she then claimed the room wasn't ready and made us wait another hour. It was the worst experience we had in all of Langkawi. However, a manager later came to help resolve the issue and even provided complimentary breakfast, and the other staff members were all quite good. Considering the hotel's price, everything else was excellent. There's a night market right outside, a park nearby, and it's very convenient to cross the road for food.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and mostly used the room just to sleep. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The view from the room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the room itself was cozy and had everything we needed. The soundproofing was also quite good, which made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. We had breakfast included, and it offered everything you would normally expect from a standard European breakfast. Nothing extraordinary, but perfectly good and satisfying. I would like to mention a few small points for future guests, without lowering my rating because they didn’t significantly affect our stay. The room cleanliness could be improved. The bed linens and towels were perfectly clean, but the decorative pillows, curtains, and parts of the bathroom didn’t seem as clean as they could have been. I’d rate the overall room cleanliness around 5/10. Also, there were no toothbrushes provided, and the toiletries were not replenished in sufficient quantities for a two-night stay. I would recommend bringing your own toothbrush and personal hygiene items just in case. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel left a positive overall impression. Thank you for your hospitality!

Breakfast was terrible, with limited options and the worst quality I've ever had in a hotel. The ingredients were extremely poor. Even the fruit was tasteless and not sweet; the pineapple was so sour it was inedible, the waffles tasted sour, and the only vegetable was stir-fried cabbage. There was absolutely nothing redeemable about it. The only edible items were the freshly made paratha and omelets.

I had a wonderful stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing staycation. The facilities were great, and I truly enjoyed my time here. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in experience was disappointing. Although I had booked my room four days in advance, I still had to wait almost an hour before my room was ready. What made it more frustrating was that no apology or explanation was given by the staff for the delay. Another area that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi connection, which was quite unstable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would still recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi. With better customer service during check-in and a more reliable Wi-Fi connection, the experience would be even better.

Overall, my stay was great. The pool was nice. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. Great location many food places around, and they're open until late into the night. We also went to the waterpark next door for free. The hotel was clean. They also have really good deals for ATV tours, jet ski tours, and many other fun things to do around the island. I highly recommend this hotel to people. The windows in our room couldn't open so it wasn't the best because I like getting fresh air into my room in the morning. Because the windows couldn't open the room smelled a bit damp and stuffy. The Aircon also made a lot of noise (I struggle falling asleep if there's too much noise).

This hotel, part of the Marriott brand, really doesn't live up to the Marriott name. A 4.6 rating is definitely misleading. The location is a bit out of the way, and the hotel facilities are incredibly old. The cleanliness is also seriously lacking; the bed linens and towels were discolored and stained. The photos of the small sofa and the back wall were taken after I wiped them with a wet wipe, and the stains were so ingrained they were hard to remove. I doubt the carpet has ever been properly cleaned. Plus, there were no small hand towels, just two bath towels. The breakfast was mostly Muslim-style. For a sea view room, you'd need to be on the fourth floor or above; below that, you mostly just see the building across the way (our room was on the fourth floor). At around 1300, the price is definitely too high. Compared to a Hanting Hotel, a Hanting would run circles around this place! However, the staff's service was quite good, and the balcony view was decent. But you can only sit on the balcony in the early morning and late evening, as the direct sunlight during the day makes it too hot – it's a BBQ-level burn out there.
