The location and accessibility are truly excellent; you can walk to many places within 10 minutes! However, if you notice a smell in the bathroom, try closing the window ^^. Since there's a market in front, the stagnant water smell from the market can reach up to the hotel. If you close the window, the bad smell is resolved! The air conditioner works well, and having a washing machine is great for doing laundry after island hopping. No extra slippers are provided! It would be good to bring one pair for the bathroom and another for indoor use.

Location is good. It takes about 10 mins walking distance to Imago shopping mall. Many eateries shops downstairs..The toilet is quite old and would be better if can have minor repair to the toilet bowl. Cleaniness is so-so.. Overall is value for money.

The check in process is quite fast. Have to deposit RM100 before check in. So need to prepare cash earlier. Everything is good, friendly receptionist. The only might be a problem for someone else, is the parking. Parking is free, but everytime you want to bring your car out, you have to get a chop from the receptionist, and go to the parking office behind the hotel to scan your ticket. Quite a hassle for me.

The location is fantastic. There's a huge mimosa tree right outside the window. Every night, the egrets wash themselves there and look like a bouquet of flowers from my room; in the morning, they slowly spread out. There's a night market directly across the street, making dining very convenient, and the sea views are also excellent. As for the room itself, it's pretty much a standard Aimei Hotel room. The front desk service was okay, and they spoke a bit of Chinese. The doorman opening doors and everything else was also good.

The service at this established hotel is truly top-notch. Facilities: It's an older hotel, so no smart home features, but it's well-maintained. The room had no strange odors, and the hot water was fast and plentiful. Location: Unbeatable! The sea view is genuine, not just a sliver of the sky. The island-hopping pier is a 10-minute walk, and the Gaya Street night market is only a 5-minute walk. Drawbacks: Breakfast is too expensive, and there are many alternative options nearby.

The room interiors are nice, and the sea views and sunsets are absolutely stunning. However, there's barely any beach; it's mostly grassy areas with sea views and sunsets. The breakfast is quite perfunctory – only five or six types of meat, all chicken, with no beef or seafood. This definitely doesn't justify the 3,000-per-night room rate. The seascape is very beautiful. The Horizon lounge room is small and just average. Breakfast is not very good, only chicken, no seafood, it doesn't match the room charge.

Booking was smooth and convenient, and upon arrival, the Marriott's service was as expected – efficient and helpful. However, despite emailing beforehand to request two adjoining rooms, we were placed on different floors, which was very inconvenient. The hotel's room service was good, but the room decor felt dated, not like it had been recently renovated, which was a bit disappointing. Also, if you're a light sleeper, definitely avoid this hotel. It's located directly under a flight path, so planes fly overhead frequently, which is terrible for sleep and rest; I was woken up multiple times!

Arrived at the hotel a little after 1 PM and they checked me in right away, no deposit required (despite some reviews mentioning one). I'd read complaints about noise, so I asked the front desk for a high floor and got the ninth! My family – my husband, son, and I – booked two rooms. The front desk gave us a king room and a twin room with a connecting door. It was super convenient for our family to open it up. These types of double-layered connecting doors are common in Southeast Asian hotels, and both sides need to be opened to use them. The rooms are spacious; one was ready immediately, and the other was still being cleaned. The hotel's location is excellent. About 300 meters to the left, across the road, there's a Subway and a 'Mingke' shop nearby where they speak Chinese and prices are generally low, so no need to bargain! Behind the hotel is the new DBKK jetty. To the right, about 600-700 meters away, is Gaya Street. Breakfast was plentiful, and my 5.5-year-old son ate and stayed for free. There's a rooftop pool where you can watch the sunset, though there's a new building under construction that partially blocks the view.

Overall, it was pretty good! There are good places to eat right downstairs, and not far away by the river, there's a hawker center with seafood and other dishes in the evening, complete with a live singer. And I have to say, the Malaysian singers are quite good! It was advertised that the front desk had Chinese-speaking staff, but they didn't, which might be inconvenient for non-English speakers. I booked this room early from my home country, but the price ended up being higher than the current market rate. If you can enter the country, it's probably better not to book non-refundable rooms in advance, as there are many hotels with great value for money locally! What puzzled me most was that besides the main door, the room had another door connecting to the opposite room, and it wasn't soundproof. I wonder if all rooms are like this!

Room size is decent, and the facilities are generally fine. No toothbrush or hairdryer in the room, but the front desk brought one up when I called. Housekeeping: On the 27th, they said it was a holiday and wouldn't be cleaning, so I just asked for a fresh towel. They didn't clean for the next few days either; I had to specifically ask them to clean the room. Environment: It's not soundproofed at all. The road outside is very noisy, and there were motorcycles revving loudly late at night. Couldn't sleep without earplugs. Service: Overall, the service was quite good. They were very responsive to requests.

Overall, it was great. The room was spacious, clean, and the facilities weren't outdated, offering excellent value for money at this price point. The only downside was the noise. The soundproofing between rooms and from the hallway was good, but the air conditioning was very loud. When I turned off the AC at night, the street noise from motorbikes was incredibly loud, so I had to wear earplugs every night to sleep.
