Glenlo Abbey is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. Beautiful olde worlde atmosphere...open fires and inviting lounges. Excellent food and efficient friendly staff....could not find fault in any aspect! Lovely 9 hole golf course on site run by pro Gary. He is very welcoming as are his staff and I would highly recommend a round on this well kept and interesting course. Overall....a wonderful hotel with top class staff. No hesitation in recommending this most lovely establishment to all my friends.! A little gem on the wild atlantic way!

We stayed at Glenlo Abbey for 2 nights in September along with another couple. This was a wonderful hotel. So elegant but warm, lovely room with great bed, and fabulous breakfast each morning. We didn't book ahead for The Pullman (our fault) but did eat both nights at Palmers. Food excellent as well as drinks. Would highly recommend this property!

Everything was 100% but for the price of €305, and with breakfast not included I found this very expensive.

Hotel location is okay, visually it is the best hotel in Galway, but the facilities are average. Encountered Galway Oyster Festival, the hotel is full, so the price is unrealistically high.

Had an amazing 2 day stay with my mom. We come up every few months, and this will defo be our new place to stay. We absolutely loved it, beautiful views from the sea view rooms and really good breastfast. Hotel didn’t feel overly busy and staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait for our next stay in July😊

Located just infront of the beach. This hotel has a fitness centre and the room was spacious and clean. There were ample of parking lots too.

Perfect Central Hotel 17 of us, yes Seventeen went for a three night stay at Jurys Inn this past weekend. Amazing service. Staff are so welcoming and under pressure as such a busy place. Nothing was too much trouble. Sorry we don't have his name, but a very tall man from California served the majority of us on arrival and was delightful. Explained that our rooms would not be cleaned daily as there was a staff shortage. None of us were concerned about this and all got daily clean towels and loo roll. Breakfast is very good for those who enjoy a cooked breakfast, which we all did. As we were all from UK €14.00 is expensive for a breakfast but it's certainly cheaper than elsewhere as we experienced by searching for somewhere else on our second day. We went in the peak time of an Oyster festival and agreed we would all return when it's less busy at the hotel and possibly cheaper. Thank you Jurys Inn for the fans for the rooms too.
- Guest User

We visited for two nights, the first of which was our anniversary. We were provided expedited access as we arrived early, and a lovely and thoughtful welcome amenity. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center, the complimentary parking in an attached garage is a huge benefit, and the breakfast included with our room was filling and tasty. The room was spotless and very large, and the bed comfortable. The uniformly helpful, professional, and pleasant staff made the visit more than the sum of its parts. They really were first-rate. I recommend this property without (so to speak) reservation.

Would definitely stay again. Staff and resort was perfect. A short walk into town and around the building is the ferry terminal, we were there for a 40th anniversary trip and had special candies in the room and the front desk was very welcoming.

We had been to a family christening at Tully Cross where we had spent two nights. Having stopped and had lunch in Galway a few months before the outbreak of covid we had decided that we would like to have a stop over the next time we passed through and as we were to pick up and later drop off a hire car it was ideal. We made the booking at the Skeffington Arms online a couple of months before. From arriving on the Monday to leaving on the Wednesday we were made to feel very welcome. The location was ideal for us being very central and within walking distance of the coach station for our return journey to Dublin Airport. Our room was a very good size and with the weather we were experiencing the air conditioning in our was most welcome. From our arrival to our departure the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We would have liked to have stayed longer but due to work commitments this wasn't possible. A very enjoyable stay, over too soon. Steve and Linda from West Yorkshire
- Guest User
We absolutely could not fault our stay at the Skeff! From the beautiful welcome by the staff to the room, we couldn’t ask for anything more! We were warned about the noise - it’s a pub & to be expected, but we did not hear a thing! The sneaky little ear plugs in the side table caused a smile!

Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed at Hyde hotel, in Galway, and realized that it was another one of those great location hotels. It’s walking distance from Ceannt Train station which was great for us since this was our first trip. It was nice not to roll our luggage across the whole city just to get to our place. It seems like it's in the quieter part of town even though there's a few bars in the area. If you walked down passed Eyre Square on William St. towards the latin quarter its very lively but not everyone may be into that while they're trying to sleep. Upon arrival, since we were early, the hotel allowed us to leave our luggages there while we took a walk around town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. One time, on our way back from an outing, we realized that we ran out of their complimentary coffee/milk/sugar. We went to the front desk and asked for them and within minutes the same desk attendant went to our room and personally delivered them to us. Our room had an enclosed patio, covered in tropical foliage (obviously not real) that brought in a cozy vibe. I don't believe that they have air condition, we didn't have any in our room. But, open the glass sliding door and bring in the fresh air, again this is Ireland and AC wasn't a big deal to us. The weather in Galway was sunny all week but it wasn't crazy warm that we needed air condition like in the states. By the way, we stayed on the second floor which was convenient if we wanted to take the stairs instead of the elevator. They have a nice restaurant that was also recommended by our tour bus driver. We also ended up booking a tour, Kylemore Abbey and Leenane, and the tour meetup was at our hotel, perfect!! This is a great hotel to stay in, there's a couple of stores across the street to stock up on essentials that you may need. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.
- Guest User
Great location. Having stayed nearby on a previous trip, I knew where to find the public car park that the hotel validated at a discount next day. Great location opposite the bus station, near Eyre Square and an easy walk to the Latin Quarter. Lovely restaurant for an easy dinner after spending the afternoon sipping whiskey in the Latin Quarter. The room was small, but this was a one-night stay. Not the greatest value when compared to others on this trip, but that's Galway.

Traveled with a tour group who arranged our accommodations. My first impression was that this was student housing. There were signs with a dress code specifying the shoes are required….also saw a lot of university age people coming in and out. Seem to have a variety of room types, some with kitchenettes. We had a twin room which was comfortable but a bit worn out. The dining was nice. Since we had just one night we were happy with the travel stop.

The deciding factor in choosing this hotel is free parking. Facts have proved to be very wise. What is surprising is that the hotel facilities are very sophisticated and the breakfast is delicious, especially the smoked salmon. About 30 minutes walk to the town, the hotel reception lady is beautiful and enthusiastic, and helped us book a 2017 Michelin restaurant to eat raw oysters. It was great, and it would be difficult to eat without a reservation.

The location of the hotel is really good, right in the center of the city and convenient to go everywhere. The rooms arranged by the hotel are also annexes, and the bathroom should be renovated and clean. The room was very large and had 2 beds. Breakfast is continental breakfast, hot only boiled eggs, pan cake and tea / coffee. There are slices of ham and salami. There are many types of bread, such as yogurt and fruit. Breakfast is included in the room rate, so don't expect too much.

The hotel is right next to the bus station, the El Square is just across the road, there is a visitor center across the road, and there is a question to ask directly. We are going to Asford Castle the next day. The staff at the visitor center helped us check the bus time and booked a taxi for us. The hotel's facilities are very distinctive, the interior is old-fashioned, the beds are old, similar to our beds of the 780s, but very clean. The entire hotel room is partially filled with the smell of disinfectant. The hotel breakfast was delicious and the rest were average.

Great Hotel. Wondeful staff at every level...some lazy but everyone is human. Very responsive to guest needs and requests. Food is excellent in all areas especially breakfast. The room was good, spacious and had a partial sea view. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice. Jameson Court was our home away from home on our first international trip as a family. The apartment was spotless and had every utensil/appliance we needed. The furniture was extremely comfortable. The entire apartment was so spacious. The location was perfect! So much to do in the area, but the apartment itself was quiet so we and our kids could sleep in peace. Our girls had such a fun time, they were crying when we checked out! I feel so grateful for the time we spent in Salthill at Jameson Court. It was truly the perfect place for our family. We have already decided when we return to Ireland we will be staying there again! *If you have young kids, there is a playground, arcade, and sandy beach all within walking distance. *There’s a variety of restaurants within 3-5 minutes walk. *We walked into Galway City Center several times. The walk is about 15-20 minutes, but flat and peaceful.
