"We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Honeymoon. The hotel looks Grand from the outside. We checked in and were given room 115. It was a nice size room but the bathroom was very dated, the floor of the room was at a weird angle so was uphill to get to the bathroom. Then unfortunately we didn't sleep as the mattress was old, thin and lumpy. Breakfast was excellent 👍 it was buffet and good quality so no complaints! We went to reception to tell them the bed was awful and they changed our room straight away to a refurbished one which was sooo much better! Room 117. All in a nice stay, the Hotel is a nice short walk from keswick centre and there's plenty of parking. We would stay aging next time we visit keswick." "The hotel is in a good location, just in the small town on Devon Lake. The room standard is 16 square meters, but it feels like it should be more than 20 square meters. Clean and hygienic. The service attitude is good, we arrived early, and the front desk gave the room without saying a word. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good and the dishes are delicious. Some local elderly people say that they have been eating in the restaurant for more than 20 years." "Stayed here for 2 nights in October. Ended up in room 117 after the room we were originally in had the worst bed ever. So a modern room is very nice and if our room was modern to start with then I'd give a 5. We did appreciate the room change though so thank you for that. Nice bar area and also a very decent buffet breakfast to be had. 5 minutes walk to Keswick centre. I'd definitely stay here again but will ask for room 117. There may even be better rooms but this one is certainly good enough."

"Firstly, I'm basing my review on the leisure club, not the rest of the hotel. I had been a leisure club member since about 2005, but cancelled in 2020 for the following reasons. Lie 1 I originally bought a membership and paid the joining fee on the basis the leisure club was to be fully refurbished and extended. There were even plans by the leisure reception showing this. We members then put up with the constant breakdowns of the steam room and jacuzzi, knowing a refurbishment was imminent. Lie 2 The jacuzzi broke down. We were told they were awaiting a part. The part never came. When questioned some months later, the manager admitted they didn't intend to replace the jacuzzi and the membership fee was good value without it Lie 3 The leisure refurbishment and upgrade we were informed didn't get planning permission. Yet a massive and pointless reception on the back of the hotel did. Basically lies as they wanted to spend the money on room upgrades and that pointless reception. The final straw came when after lockdown, when no attempt was made to inform or thank their paying members for still paying their membership fees. I only found out it had reopened by calling by one day. I then immediately cancelled my membership in disgust. Please someone buy this failing establishment that is on the market. " "The restaurant was so good! Nice views. Gracious staff, wonderful rooms. I thought the pillows were kind of hard/uncomfortable but my husband and I thought the whole place was awesome for the amazing price!" "Booked a two night stay with Best western rewards and way upgraded to an amazing suite with fantastic views of Skiddaw. Decided to stay an extra two nights but had to be moved to a family room. OMG the space was amazing. Staff at the hotel was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and fresh but no room servicing during stay. However, requested fresh towels and they were delivered promptly. Would definately stay here again."
"We have stayed here on several occasions over the last few years and have enjoyed it but I’m afraid it’s going down hill.we stayed 2 nights and on arrival noticed the outside looked tired, especially the front garden area with dead plants and a broken parasol. Definitely in need of some TLC. The receptionist seemed out of her depth, we had a query on checking in about which room we’d booked, we thought we’d booked room 7 it transpired we’d booked room 4, no big deal but during our discussion she said she hadn’t been in any of the rooms , if we weren’t happy she’d refer it to the manager who was due back on Saturday or Sunday ‘ if he can be bothered’ Not what we wanted to hear and maybe some training is needed! Room is large but tired, the shower was pathetic, a previous review said it was an electric shower so what would you expect, this shower was pressure fed and awful. If we’d tried to fill the bath it would have taken hours.Breakfast was good following morning, full English plus buffet. Things then went further downhill, returning at 4pm from a 4 hour walk to find no hot water, my wife rang down, receptionist said ooh I don’t know I’ll go find out, her reply staggered us so much I got my wife to write it down and here it is verbatim ‘Apparently the boiler is switched off on Friday night until 6-7on Saturday , so it might come on then’ Amazing a hotel with no hot water….obviously enough in the tank for Saturday morning but not through the day. Totally unhygienic and shocking . After filling a kettle to at least get a wash we went out at 6pm, still no hot water, but returned at 8-30 and hooray the hot water was back,,,so we both had a trickle of a shower…..sorry it’s just not good enough especially at £170 a night This place will go to rack and ruin unless someone takes control, smartens it up a bit, sorts out basic stuff like hot water, and invests t time in training the staff. Will we be back, ?no chance, there’s plenty other options in Keswick." "I enjoyed 2 nights stay in this quirky but historic building. The location is in the middle of Keswick so easy to walk to the lake & all amenities. Expect noise from traffic & the car park is small. But the staff are friendly & the breakfast is excellent with good choices. I also recommend the evening menu & enjoyed a delicious evening meal. The room is clean, spacious & light." "Great hotel, warm room, funny and humorous guy at the front desk, great breakfast!"
As a loyal fan of Six Senses, I first learned that Six Senses is through Kunshan. The two-bedroom villa on the beachfront has the same view and pictures. In addition to the two spacious bedrooms, there is a very large living room. The swimming pool is also a bright spot, which should be about 20*5. It can be said that it is very high grade. The hotel enjoys a vast private beach. During the National Day, the beach can be left empty and quiet. The number of breakfast items is quite good in the resort, but the quality is very good, there is a special Vietnamese breakfast, it is very popular for the people, and the special cold room of Six Senses stores fruit ham and yogurt. The dining in the hotel is not expensive. The chef communicated with the shrimp, orchid crab and a kind of fish. With the Vietnamese style, there is a plate of fried vegetables, which are very delicious. The average per capita is about 250. It is much cheaper than what is in the Maldives.

Our staying in Orson Hotel & Resort Con Dao was fascinating, wonderful and the best hotel experience in our life. It was a perfect stop of our honeymoon. From the booking until the check out the staff was so kind and helpful. They were smiling all the time. The driver picked us up at the airport and took us to the city twice. They waited us with a welcome drink, when it started to rain and my wife had to stop swimming they waited her with a towel, when I still had beer but she had no drink, they brought a cup of tea to her and so on. Many many kindness and attention. The room was super, the mountain view from there was picturesque. The pool and the hotel own beach were also great. The breakfast was soo good, always fresh and impossible to taste everything because they served plenty of dishes. Our dinners in the restaurant were also memorable. I wish I could eat so delicious fried rice or pasta at home. I hope we will have a chance to stay there again in the future. Con Dao and this Hotel became a part of our heart and the best memory of our honeymoon.
1. Too much noise, a resort that from 5:30 am has allowed to hold events with noisy mobile remote instruments from the beach to the remaining rooms. Money is above all? Who makes noise is ok? When I told the front desk staff, it doesn't mean. The crowd of events (of a company rented here in the morning of 11/6/2022) is very rude, awkward, from 5:30 am to 8 o'clock, the loudspeaker is still VERY loud. The staff also regards other guests being taken care of by noise. I consider this as the case of disturbing guests and customer calls, violating the rules of the resort. The security guard seems to be rude, shouting loudly to any kind of gentle guests. As for the flock of cabbage stalks, flying all night (from 10:30 to 2-3 in the morning) makes the rooms next to the elderly can't sleep; then the security has no idea?? ! That night (the night of 9/6 dawn of 10/6/2022), the elderly couldn't sleep, woke up in the campus to find the security guards and saw both the security guards were sleeping. After the flying and shaking, they checked out and checked out right before it was dawn. Asked, the security guard and the reception, the staff were silent. The whole resort doesn't seem to be responsible for the guests, so that the guests can bear the fight. GOOD WITHOUT BAY. 2. The ”New Standard” room is just worth the same as a high price room, noisy door slamming and the noise of people walking in the hallway, the actual door slamming. The sheets are dull like not washing, not replaced new, showing a neglect of guests coming to the vacation. Too expensive for what guests receive. The toilet area of the bungalows is not hygienic enough, old and needs a upgrade. Outdated design, the room curtains are crude like a veil, the door is stuck leading to sleep. The floor of the toilet (sea-view bungalow) is plugged, the bathroom looks dark and damp like a common bathroom in the dormitory areas. 3. Lots of mosquitoes. The bedroom mosquitoes fly without having a screen for guests? 4. The dishes used for breakfast for guests are still stuck with water on the surface, the oily glue has not been washed. The chef standing at the counter to scoop water for guests, scold the guests, where is there a resort type, the staff shouted the diners. 5. Forgot the guest's dishes, do it too long and guests have to remind many times to have food. Guests order the vegetables of the squid, the vegetables are boiled 30 minutes before 40 minutes (after 40 minutes waiting), the warehouse is squeezed after the vegetables are gone. The food is not good, the vegetables are torn out of a lump or a rice, and they are still placed in the breakfast buffet tray or arranged dishes for guests to order. 6. The front desk staff often returns, when checking in, there is a room, then there is no, making guests frustrated. The receptionist attitude often surprises, then refused to take the responsibility of the emotional guests, then ignored and silent. If the rules cannot be changed, I don't know who else wants to come to TSNCD. For my family, it's NOT EVER.
