Location : super private, very clean and very well kept. Staff service : friendly, attentive. Shout out to Rudra, Pika, Afiq, and their kitchen crew Wani. they say that the people is the heart and soul of the brand and it reflects immensely in the boathouse. Even the director of operations took his rounds to walk and chatted us up. Thank you Thevan. Room : very new and clean tho sound insulation is abit of an issue. But it’s all good. Internet : good and stable. This part of the island cuts off coverage if you have a local sim. Amenities : For now, it’s just jungle tracking with ATV or island hopping/diving. What can be improved : 1. perhaps more upbeat music at the bar area for people to let loose. 2. weekends when there are more people, a fire performance or a light show/drone or something. So that there is a slight group entertainment. 3. Pier could be abit more lighted to see the sea during the night.

The rooms are clean and relaxing, with many decorations and items made from local, handcrafted materials, which is both eco-friendly and gives the hotel its unique character. The hotel owner and staff are polite and sincere, without any noticeable commercial vibe. The natural environment is quiet and pristine, and the hotel blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Most guests here are couples enjoying their time together; we were the only ones with children during our three-day stay. We really loved this quiet, non-commercial holiday environment. January is monsoon season, so the winds and waves were strong. We tried snorkeling on two mornings, but it wasn't amazing. The ecosystem here isn't as vibrant as in Mataking, Semporna; we didn't see as many types of fish, and there were more rocks, making the snorkeling environment less friendly than Mataking. However, the hotel stay itself was truly comfortable, and we felt the energy of nature – a great opportunity to relax. The staff and owner were fantastic and even personally picked us up and dropped us off at the pier. Their service felt genuinely sincere, unlike Semporna, where there's a strong commercial atmosphere, and you don't feel the same genuine human interaction, but rather more commercialism, and the room rates are many times higher without the corresponding service quality. We love this kind of hotel vacation experience. It's filled with the scent of nature everywhere, with streams flowing through the rainforest, integrating the hotel with the sea – a resort that has both mountains and the ocean. Friendly tip: The hotel carefully prepares all three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The food provided is consistently delicious, and although the prices are not cheap, it's worth it.

Loved the place and service. They provided ferry from Genting Jetty to their place (free of charge. Unlike the other fancy place that I visted. Lol. They have their own private beach too. Few things to note: their dinner is pre-served, so you have to tell them ahead of time like 2 hours before your dinner time so they prepare it for you. You must try their butter prawn rice.

This was my second stay at the resort, and once again, I had a great experience. The location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings, and the staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The resort has two restaurants, although the Thai restaurant was closed during our visit. The Jetty Paya restaurant is just outside the main gate and can be easily reached by buggy. The Sarang Seafood restaurant is about 2 km from the resort, and a return taxi fare is around RM50. Snorkeling trips to Coral Island, Renggis Island, and the marine park, as well as taxi services for going to restaurants, can all be organized through the hotel. You can also visit the marine park by taxi (suitable if traveling with senior citizens), which costs around RM100–150. Activities within the resort includes a game zone for kids, gym, pool table (4RM per game), bicycling, and kayaking. We appreciated the complimentary 1-hour bicycle ride provided by the staff. Breakfast was decent, but it would be even better with a wider variety of options. The room includes all the necessary amenities, but could be more modernized to better match the overall resort experience. The resort provided a complimentary minibar in two of the three rooms we booked, which was a nice added touch. Overall, it was another enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider coming back again.

The hotel is very convenient, right by the pier, and the service is excellent. The breakfast is average, but I think it's pretty good for the island. The beach is right outside, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Overall, we had a good stay at Paya Beach Resort. We visited during the off-peak weekday period, so it was very quiet and peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to relax and avoid crowds. One downside was the number of mosquitoes, especially when opening the door, so that’s something to be mindful of. Another small issue was the exit green light in the room—it couldn’t be turned off at night, which felt a bit unusual and slightly disruptive when trying to sleep. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was enjoyable with a good selection of options. Overall, a nice and tranquil place to stay, with a few minor areas that could be improved.

Great environment. Relaxing and doable. Great Sunrise except for occasional overcast. The beach is white. The size of the room is comfortable. Beds are big. The deluxe room has a small balcony which leads to the swimming pool and dining hall. The room is not the cleanest. Saw some baby cockroaches running around the bathroom. The pillows are way too soft. The Aircon power is very weak Occasional power trips. There are a few dive shops along the way. Good selection for divers who wants different experience diving around Juara. Food prices are average. There is a roti canai shop mia cafe. Which sells out out very quickly. Be on time at 7am if you want to try it.
