The room was provided with air conditioning was not working and the shower was in a defect that prevented you from using. It was also told by the official that room twin and double are considered the same for them unless explicitly defined in the reservation. I showed him my reservation made directly on his website where the double room was explicitly defined. Then I was informed that the booking on the site could be a mistake and that would normally work better in operators. The solution found was a quarter of the top level. But for upgrading, I would have to pay. Although I was given a discount for this upgrade, I still had to pay for a qq room there was no other room available. The hotel has not come to talk to me about the incident. The bad service. Furthermore, the noise comes out of the outside eh unsupportable. The amount of dogs hitting around the house eh surreal. A bad place. Evitate. Team unprepared.

An obvious first class hotel. The room was exceptionally appointed and very spacious. The bathroom was stunning with all marble, separate water closet, shower and double sink vanity. Two closets for hanging and multiple drawers. Very quiet when windows were closed but opened to get the Porto city vibe, when desired. Great location and easily walkable to river or around town. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The hotel team was gracious and helpful. The gym was small but had everything you needed to maintain some workout routine on vacation! We didn't enjoy the spa but toured it, including the indoor pool, and it was beautiful. The bar was cozy for a pre-evening drink and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel as it will make your Porto experience one to remember!

No words.... Has been a trip INSIDE a subway construction area .... And I am not kidding unfortunately. I have reserved a single room kind bed. At beginning the reception assigned me one room at 4th floor exactly in front of jackhammer operators, which made the same noises as in war scenario with 2 beds. Then after my immediate big complain reception have assigned me another room, #209. Different scenario : that was in front of a concrete grinding crane arrives from 8pm in the morning until 10pm in the evening. at 7am the noises of the vehicles began with the relative movement alarm and in the evening after 10pm the workers who hammer gradually finished at 1am in the night. all i have timed videos to prove my experience. I asked several times to assign me a room ON OTHER SIDE (that are outside the ”war operation area”) but answer was always _ ”SORRY SIR, THE ROOM ON BACKSIDE ARE FULL AND WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE” . Today at check out I have asked a discount, as feedback the receptionist charged me 20EUR more for 2 peer juices I have got from minibar...... I do not know how to describe this experience, I have been many times in Intercontinental and I have been always satisfied.... BESIDE THIS LAST TRIP THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO FORGET Travellers' take extreme care going there !! At least until the subway works under room balcony are finished !!! What a royal style! I really like the interior design and the elevator is so interesting! Great location, walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast is good too! There is a complimentary tasting of Porto grape liqueur at the front desk and a lounge with coffee and other refreshments.

Loved our stay here. Charlie Chaplin room was gorgeous and unique albeit a little dark with the black painted walls and ceilings. Huge private terrace with incredible views really makes the room. The pool is lovely and fairly unique for Porto. Location is on a bit of a deserted street just off the main hilltop tourist area but we walked to and from there at night and never felt unsafe. Breakfast was excellent.

Good hotel - great location on a pedestrian street. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the room was on the smaller size but very comfortable and nice modern decor. We were on a higher floor facing the back so it was not noisy. The reason for a three out of five was because our experience was quite average nothing out of the ordinary. Service was efficient but impersonal. Breakfast instead of being in the main dining area, was in very cramped tight quarters in the basement where the service was very average. Overall it was a pleasant stay but if I return to Porto I would find another hotel to get a better experience.

Partner and I stayed at Casa da Companhia for a week - it was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives! From check-in to the attentive breakfast service and continuing through check-out, we were thrilled by the warmth and quality of service of the staff. Recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and a day tour of Douro were all top-notch, and we'll be passing them onto our friends who follow us. Location is on Rue das Flores - a pedestrian-access only street. If you have significant mobility concerns, I would recommend reaching out ahead of time to the hotel to coordinate your arrival transportation. Location cannot be beat - we walked everywhere and were very happy with our access to a number of sights, restaurants, the waterfront, etc. There was a minor hiccup (no fault of the hotel) regarding another guest on our floor who was smoking in their room. The smell subsequently made its way into our room via the ventilation system. Before leaving for a dinner, we notified the front desk and they took immediate action, assessing the smell in our room. Upon our return that evening, they offered to place us in another room overnight, if the smoke smell persisted. When we returned to our room, the smell had dissipated and we declined the extra room - but we greatly appreciated their responsiveness and offer of alternative accommodations. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I enjoyed the dry sauna and indoor pool on a rainy day and found both to be very well-maintained. We'll be recommending this hotel to our friends and family and are looking forward to returning to Porto and Casa da Companhia.

The hotel’s public spaces are great and it’s an old palace. But the room is not in the palace, but an old building next to it. The hotel is about three kilometers away from the old city center, a little far away, but the hotel shuttle bus is free (10:00 am, 4 pm)

Very satisfied! ! ! Will come to live in the future~ The location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the train station, 15 minutes walk to the river, 5 minutes to the supermarket! The sister at the front desk looks good, breaking the perception of the Portuguese. The room is too big, clean and hygienic, it's almost like home.
