I just came back from my visit in early July. SARI is definitely the best in terms of environment. The quiet and clean garden is full of frangipani trees, and the faint fragrance of frangipani fills the air in the morning. The decoration of the room is indeed a bit old. The wardrobe, TV cabinet, bathroom and toilet are obviously more than 10 years old. But other than that, the 46-square-meter pool view villa and sea view villa are really comfortable. They are all independently distributed, so they don't disturb each other. The beds inside are also very comfortable and clean. The bad thing is that if you want to change the sheets, you must communicate with the front desk, otherwise they will not take the initiative to change them. The smell of the toilet is also very bad. Turn off the exhaust fan in the toilet, and the bad smell will dissipate a lot. We stayed for 4 nights, and all three meals were buffets every day. During this period, the guests who came to SARI for vacation were basically half Chinese, half locals and foreigners, and the local women were all Muslims wearing headscarves, so the meals served in the resort were all Malaysian-style, mainly beef, chicken and fish, and there were also shrimps, but there were no crabs. Beef is available every day, either fried beef or pan-fried beef ribs. For chicken, you can stir-fry, curry or deep-fry. Fish can also be fried or curried. The staple food is rice and pasta. There is a delicious soup every day, mushroom cream soup/beef soup/borscht. Hot tea and coffee are available all day. Freshly squeezed red/white guava juice and orange juice are real ingredients and very delicious. Fruits include watermelon, cherry tomatoes, honeydew melon and pineapple. There is a lack of green vegetables. Except for the lunch on the day of landing and the last dinner before leaving the island, there is no green vegetables to eat. But overall, it suits the taste of Cantonese people.

We booked this hotel mainly because we could not find that many options, so we decided to give a try, and we are happy of our choice! Starting from the team on the mainland to the manager welcoming and checking you in, to the divemaster, waiters, and all the other staff, they do just their best to make you feel comfortable.
The resort needs maintenance for sure, but of course everybody suffered during the long pandemic, so I only wish them to get back on track because the place really deserves.
The villa was spacious enough for 3, beds were super-comfortable, huge bathroom with shower and bathtub, outdoor patio to relax, a beautiful beach with a great housereef. We ended up extending 1 more night, and I would have extended our stay for longer if we did not have to return back to KL. We could dive at our pace, enjoy some snorkeling, and relax at their sunset bar. We would surely like to return!
