I left the Maya Riviera hotel on the morning of November 14, and when I checked in and left the hotel, I found that I had about 300 dollars less in my wallet. The thing is: I took a taxi to the hotel when I checked in, I paid the fare in cash dollars, so I remember there were a few hundred dollars in my wallet, and the hotel was all inclusive, so I didn't have any cash consumption during my stay. I left the hotel in the morning to go to the airport because I had to take a taxi, I wanted to prepare the dollar cash in advance, and when I opened my wallet I found that there were thirty dollars in the cockroach. During my stay at the hotel, my wallet was in my bag and my bag was on the hotel room table. During this period, the service staff of the hotel cleaning room can enter my room and take the dollars in my wallet. Because I had to catch a plane in the morning, I told the hotel staff that I didn't have time to call the police. Traveling to Mexico still has to pay attention to property and personal safety.

I went on a honeymoon trip!! It was comfortable to have a butler and I didn’t know what to do with my excessive kindness..!! ㅋㅋ The food is delicious and the quality is very good!!! ㅠㅠ I really want to go there again!!!

All the staff were friendly and nice. It was better because there were only foreigners and no Koreans. Personally, it was a godsend that I didn't do Arte! On the contrary, I met a lot of Koreans during the tour hahaha.

Location is good. It is close to 5th avenue and beach.
I loved the resort and nature. It was lovely and cozy.
But there were ants in bathroom and straw fell down because of palapa. There's no refrigerator in the room.
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner.
All of staffs are kind and friendly. Espacially Rogelio was really kind and pleasant.

The hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The staff is friendly and polite, making you feel welcome. There are several restaurants and a good variety of drinks and food. Unfortunately, the area isn’t safe—my bag was stolen, and we also witnessed a very serious car accident with fatalities. The hotel itself is great, but due to the safety concerns, I wouldn’t return to Cancun/Playa del Carmen.

The hotel itself was very good, but
At first, they said it was a deposit and I paid 1000 pesos with my credit card,
and when I asked to cancel the deposit when checking out,
they said there was no record of the payment.
My card statement clearly shows the record.
The front desk was completely ignorant, saying there was no record of the payment.
Then they suddenly changed and treated me very rudely.
After making me wait for about 20 minutes, they said
It was an environmental tax.
From the beginning, there was no mention of an environmental tax, it was a deposit,
but they changed their words.
I lost all trust.
It was completely bad.

The hotel looks nice, but is very noisy. Specially during mornings when you are sleeping. The restaurant on first floor starts working from 6:30 am and walls are very thin. So you hear lots of noise and hard to sleep well. But still they have good promotions for free messages and other stuff. I recommend getting a room on 3rd floor to have least noise.

Really a great experience. I was with my husband, we stayed in the privilege suite, perfect! Spacious room, with individual taps, hydro in the bathroom and in the outdoor area with views of the garden, surreally comfortable bed.
The Hotel has a wide variety of restaurants, including Italian, Japanese and steakhouse you must book on the day, the rest just go and wait.
The Japanese restaurant is not so much about the food but about the sushi chef's experience, it's more of a show, incredible!
I recommend the buffet restaurant as it has a variety of cuisine from different countries and the Japanese restaurant.
Unfortunately, we didn't have good service at the restaurant on the beachfront, which is the only criticism!
The resort has several green areas, so you can find several animals, super cute!! We went bowling and they even have karaoke nights, really fun!
I would suggest just having a heated pool, as all of them are not heated.
It's a complete resort, with ice cream parlor, cafe, wonderful. I recommend it to everyone!

Stayed 3 nights. It is about 10-15 minutes by taxi from the city center. The reasonable price as of May 2019 is 200Bs. When you visit, 300Bs was taken, so please be careful if you have a suitcase. There are not so many restaurants, but the food offered seems to change daily. Dinner can be enjoyed at restaurants that require a bit formal reservation, buffet style restaurants, and teppanyaki restaurants that are limited to the day of the week. There was also a restaurant where you can eat snacks. We did not use room service, but it seemed to be so. All the dishes we ate in the hotel were delicious. During the GW period I visited, a large amount of algae was generated and I could not enter the sea, but the sand was white and very beautiful. I think there are two large pools, a children's pool, and a bath-like pool. Many of the staff are friendly and I think I was able to speak almost in English. The staff of the lobby travel agent was not that kind. Because there was bath in room and view was good, we were able to spend comfortably. It is hotel where we want to stay at again.

On the other hand, the beach is full of sargassum and not the prettiest in Playa del Carmen.
Disappointed with the breakfast with little variety
Finally, we did not at all appreciate the fact of giving a bill after each meal or each drink ordered in a black booklet in order to leave a tip.
This seems imposed and not correct because All Inclusive!

The hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room
that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.

The arrangement is reasonable, the price is favorable, and there is a 20% discount for advance booking. Location is great. Checkin was easy. Rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette (stove cooktop & microwave) but there’s no dishes or utensils to cook. Decent coffee/tea setup. Nice robes. Medium sized fridge with freezer section. City view rooms do not have balconies and face street with view of ice cream shop and laundromat. Pool is warm & pool towels available. 1 block from the busy street and 2 blocks from beach. There’s a bar with a pool table, foosball, and darts where happy hour was offered for an hour daily. BREAKFAST WAS NOT WORTH WAKING EARLY FOR. Very limited options and was cold. Also after checking our reservation at the breakfast restaurant they were insisting we pay for it when we paid for it with the reservation. Also felt the breakfast staff were a bit rude when I tried asking for details on the station others were lining up for reminding me of things that were included or not.From$147
