Hotel Description
Set in a conservation area of Bishop Auckland, this spacious and welcoming flat is in a great location for visits to Auckland Castle, exploring the Pennines and visits to Durham. Kynren is also a short walk away. After a great day out come back to the gorgeous, light-filled rooms, cosy fireplace, comfortable sofas, speedy internet, super king size beds and spa bath. Couples, individuals, business travellers and families with kids (any age) are all very welcome.
The flat has two large bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for your belongings. The super king size beds (6ft wide), one with 2000 Pocket Spring Memory Foam Mattress and the other with 3000 Pocket Pillow Top Spring Mattress will give you a restful night's sleep. In the sizable living room, the comfy full double sofa bed with memory foam mattress is accompanied by the chaise longue, cosy armchair and mahogany dresser and corner cabinet. The 49" 4K smart TV is in the corner, connected to the fastest internet available in the area (up to 74Mb). You can watch Super HD Netflix, Amazon Video and BBC iPlayer too - the flat comes with its own Netflix and Amazon accounts so no need for a subscription.
Towels, sheets and bedding are all there for you plus shower gel, conditioner and shampoo. The sofa bed is a full double memory foam fold-out version, so no uncomfortable crease down the middle that you get with clic-clac beds. There is plenty of storage for your clothes and belongings in the dresser, allowing you to properly unpack as you wish. In addition to the usual central heating, there is the very cosy gas fire in the living room, which is easy to operate and comes with children's safe guard for those of you with little ones coming to visit. The heating is easily controlled throughout the flat with a Nest thermostat - which also means the apartment will be nice and warm ready for your arrival. If you prefer more tropical temperatures there are also three electric heaters in both the bedrooms and living room.
The dining kitchen is well stocked, both with essentials and with good cooking equipment. There are pots and pans of course, but there's also a slow cooker, steamer, weighing scale and juicer. When you arrive you will find real coffee for the cafetiere and a selection of teas. Herbs and oil are also included. The kitchen has a slimline dishwasher and washing machine too, which will help a lot for those intending to stay longer than a couple of days.
There is bread in the freezer, plus a selection of spreads and cereals. The fridge has a water dispenser, butter and spreads. (You will need to bring your own milk, though). The bathroom has a corner bath with whirlpool jets. There is a standing shower (in the bath) so the bathroom is great for a quick shower before work or for long, luxurious bathing! There is a backyard too for some outdoor, private space away from the street. This is shared with the Regent's Chambers, the flat below, which you can also book.About pets:Pets allowed.Only house-trained pets, no puppies or kittens..About checkOut:Check out before 12:00 PM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Travelcot and highchair available if needed..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted. No smoking please..About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed. No parties beyond booked occupancy..

Hotel Description
The Regent's Chambers is a marvellous and comfortable place to stay, with super king beds, Netflix & Amazon Video, board games, self check-in and breakfast ingredients (except for milk!). There's a garden for relaxing in during nice weather (it happens!) and a real home-from-home feeling. There's free parking just outside the flat and it's a five minute walk into town (explore the castle and new gallery spaces), ten min to the station and ten min to Kynren. Durham is just a half hour away.
The kitchen is country style, with oak worktop and cream cabinets. It's fully stocked with basic necessities (tea selection, real coffee, olive oil, salt, pepper, spices and herbs). There is also bread, spreads and cereals on offer, though you need to bring milk. The bathroom has a separate shower and bath. Don't worry if you forget your shampoo, conditioner or shower gel as it's all provided for you.
There are two big bedrooms with super king size beds and pillowtop mattresses, very soft 400 thread count sheets and feather pillows. The living room has a 49" Smart TV with freeview. You can watch Super HD Netflix, Amazon Video and BBC iPlayer too - the flat has its own Netflix and Amazon accounts so no need for a subscription. There's a large double sofabed (14cm full double memory foam mattress) and a single daybed (3000 pocket pillowtop mattress). Both beds are super comfy and have lots of pillows and cushions for maximum cosiness. There are double curtains in the bedrooms and living room, which all look out onto the street - the voile is to ensure privacy (but still lets in the light) plus lined blackout curtains on top. Each bedroom also has blackout blinds.
The flat is on the ground floor so it's more accessible for people with limited mobility, but note there are three shallow steps up to the front door so it's not suitable for wheelchairs. Parking is easy - there's lots available on Etherley Lane and though there are single yellow lines around the corners there are no other restrictions (except don't park in front of other people's houses as it annoys the neighbours!). It's best to park just outside the side gate on Etherley Lane, where you first check in. During Kynren days there is parking enforcement on the street but parking permits are provided in the flat for you to use. You can use smart check in to get into the flat with a code I give you at booking, so you can arrive whenever is convenient, even in the small hours of the morning. Have a lovely stay!About pets:Pets allowed.Only house-trained pets - no puppies or kittens..About checkOut:Check out before 12:00 PM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Travel cot and high chair provided on request..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted. No smoking at all please..About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed. No parties, only booked occupancy..
