The room and the balcony face the valley, there is no obstruction in front, and the beauty is simply unreal. The room is simple but very clean. The shower in the bathroom has enough water pressure and is very comfortable. The restaurant is of a high standard and the price is very reasonable in Switzerland. The owner is very kind, will come to say hello chat at dinner, and teach children to feed their own goats. The hotel offers a transfer to the train station. Depending on the size of the room, it should be difficult for an extra bed

The dirty braided brother and the young lady at the front desk are very nice and enthusiastic. The hotel is good overall, that is, the breakfast is relatively simple, not too much to eat. Downstairs of the hotel is a small ski resort, there are also rental ski equipment and coaches, very convenient, and the scenery is very good! The room is also quite large, and it is perfectly fine to spread out four or five suitcases.

It’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is not very far, but it’s a little tired if it rains with a suitcase. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the First cable car station, which is very convenient. It is worth mentioning that if you choose to include dinner when booking the hotel, it is really super cost-effective ~ delicious and rich, every day I will seriously post menus everywhere, and I am responsible for saying that this is the level of Fine Dining, such a dinner Any restaurant should be above 120 francs per capita. The restaurant environment is also nothing to say, the service quality is very good ~ excellent experience, rich breakfast, worth the price, super recommended. They also gave home-made potato chips when they left. If it is not enough, it may be that the facilities in the room are average~ but it is very clean, the balcony is facing the mountain, beautiful!

Breakfast and dinner are great, the service is warm and in place, the hotel environment is great, if it is not a temporary booking price should be higher. Parking is free and the sauna and pool are nice, clean and comfortable. A little far from the train station, 15 minutes walk. The room is a bit small.

## Environment The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery. ## Facilities Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day. ## Service Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day.

The room was small but clean. The hotel is right next to the train station exit, and there's a bus terminal directly in front. Just a short walk down the hill diagonally opposite the hotel leads to a hiking trail towards the scenic Grund station. The hotel provided a free bus ticket for one stop, and I took the 123 bus which offered the most beautiful views. The restaurant on the ground floor was very busy, and a thin elderly lady working there was very enthusiastic and nice. It was a bit noisy at night due to many people drinking and chatting downstairs. Sitting on the large terrace on the 5th floor in the evening, enjoying the mountain view, was very pleasant.

It's close to the station. The room is warmly furnished and the lighting is very atmospheric. It's amazing at first sight when you open the door! There were few choices for breakfast. I didn’t find any shampoo or shower gel until I took a shower on the first day. However, when we asked about it the next day, a guy at the counter helped us bring it to the room. Thank you!

The location was fantastic, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious! However, there were stains on the duvet, which was a bit disappointing. Also, we wanted to dine at the hotel's ground-floor restaurant at 7 PM and had asked the staff to make a reservation for us the day before. But when we arrived, we found out the reservation was made for a different restaurant right next door, not the one we requested. The employee who made the mistake didn't even apologize. Another staff member, who was very apologetic, offered to rebook us for a different time slot. I think if the person who made the error had simply apologized, I would have felt much better. That really left a bad taste in my mouth and was quite a letdown. If only the bed linens were spotless and the apology for the mistake had been handled better, I would have been completely satisfied!

The hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room. However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking. The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done. The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good. The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)

A wonderful stay and highly recommended. Our room with a view was beautiful, and even with lots of tourists during the day, it stayed completely quiet once we closed the windows. It’s also just a three-minute walk to the train station. There was a handy spot to heat up food or eat takeaway, right next to the gorgeous scenery. The hotel is located high up on a hill, offering great views on a clear day. It's also very close to Grindelwald station. Before check-in, the owner emailed me to fill out my personal information in advance, but it was a bit tricky to do, so I figured it would be easier to just fill it out at the front desk when I arrived. However, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was quite displeased and deliberately made me wait for a long time, claiming that if I had completed the online form beforehand, I wouldn't have caused such a delay. All in all, despite that, it's a charming local chalet with beautiful weather and scenery, making for a great experience.

The hotel was far beyond our expectations. The hotel pictures on Ctrip really lowered the grade of this hotel. The hotel is invincible. Our room has a 180-degree balcony with an invincible view, the side of the balcony (Figure 1), the front of the balcony and the view from the restaurant (Figures 2-4). After all, it is such a noble place, and psychologically I am afraid that the waiters will be arrogant. As a result, the hotel staff provided invincible service. The child wanted to add a sofa bed, which was immediately made. The dinner added cheese for 15 Swiss francs, and the waiter introduced various cheeses to the child in detail (eat as you like). I rarely ate vegetables along the way, but I ordered a large plate of vegetables here, and they customized a grilled vegetable for us the next day. Various dishes are also delicious. Although the price of 4,500 per night is expensive, it is a bit more expensive for a family of three with a 12-year-old child, but this view and service are absolutely worth it.
