The hotel sits on the outskirts of Shaftesbury surrounded by some lovely mature trees however not enough is made of the garden facilities. The service, although pleasant and helpful, was slow due possibly to understaffing which in the present climate is understandable. The bedroom and Ensuite were clean and the bed comfortable. However the room was very “corporate “ and bland. My husband’s evening meal was pleasant (salad) mine wasn’t (Thai curry.) The breakfast - a mix of buffet and service, - was good although I can’t comment on the cooked food as I only had the continental option. The swimming pool was popular but we managed to get a quiet early morning swim which was pleasant as the pool is light and airy and well maintained. The use of pool towels was much appreciated. The reception staff were all welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is very quiet and has lived many times. Every service staff is very nice and very welcoming. There are also many choices for breakfast, they are delicious, there is no thunder, breakfast under 12 is free. The hotel has a swimming pool and a small sauna. The swimming pool is particularly popular and there are people swimming every time they pass. There is a Tesco supermarket next to it. It is especially convenient to walk for ten minutes and walk to recharge every day.
