The room is very aesthetically pleasing, all the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel has very good details. The breakfast standard is unexpectedly high, the croissant is very fat and crispy; the beef brisket noodles are better than the Michelin recommended restaurant I ate the day before; the sea cucumber porridge tastes like Shanghai Meilingyuan. I regret not arranging dinner at the hotel the day before, the vegetables grown in their own fruit and vegetable garden must be very fresh and delicious. The housekeeper Xiao Zhu contacted in advance, responded quickly, and was always very considerate. The overall experience is that Guantang Anlu is somewhat similar to another IHG-owned luxury hotel in Sichuan, but the experience is even better.

The experience was very good. The room type I booked did not have a private hot spring bath. When they heard that I was going to bring my children, the staff took the initiative to upgrade us to the Qizi Pavilion room type with a private hot spring bath. The service was considerate, especially the service of the housekeeper Xiao Zhu, who was very warm and thoughtful. The children were accompanied by staff throughout the handicrafts and vegetable picking, and the dinner dishes tasted good. Recommended!

A perfect retreat for unwinding! The ultimate wellness experience truly comes from allowing nature to heal you. This hotel exudes the sophisticated ambiance of a top-tier luxury brand. I was particularly impressed with the front office manager's approach and skill in resolving issues. All staff members were knowledgeable and remarkably courteous. I stayed for two nights and genuinely wished to extend, but unfortunately, due to booking quite late, there were no rooms available – a bit disappointing. 🏡 **Authentic, Back-to-Nature Craftsmanship in Design** Rammed earth walls, raw timber beams, rattan lamps... every detail here embodies 'sustainable luxury.' Imagine soaking in the hot spring under a starry sky, listening to the gentle rustle of wind through the ancient ginkgo tree canopy. Each room is a Zen-inspired sanctuary, fostering a deep connection with nature. While the indoor space and layout are quite similar across room types, the additional private gardens, plunge pools, and expansive common areas truly set them apart. This makes the Six Senses Suite exceptionally good value for money, with the in-room comfort levels absolutely maximized. **Environment:** The hotel grounds are breathtaking, offering beautiful scenery at every turn. Beyond hiking Mount Qingcheng, simply strolling around the hotel premises is a wonderfully relaxing activity. Guests can also book facilities for Tai Chi, tennis, basketball, table tennis, and football.

A truly therapeutic short stay. The hotel's environment was incredibly comfortable, and the rainy weather created an absolutely perfect atmosphere, full of charm and serenity. Yannie proactively reached out on WeChat to understand my needs, and everything was arranged meticulously and thoughtfully. She even reserved a private hot spring bath room, and soaking in the courtyard hot spring at night was incredibly rejuvenating. The hotel's photography service was fantastic; the photos turned out beautifully. The photographer was very professional, with excellent choices for locations and mastery of light and shadow effects. During the day, I also had a Tai Chi session, and its gentle rhythm was very relaxing. This trip was too rushed, and I didn't get a chance to visit Dujiangyan or see the pandas. I've already planned my next return.

## Facilities All the essentials were provided, including welcome candies in the room and a well-stocked mini-bar. Basic facilities like the swimming pool and gym were also available. However, the standard room type did not have a smart/bidet toilet, and the bed felt a bit small. ## Cleanliness Excellent, ensuring a very comfortable and reassuring stay. ## Ambiance & Location The hotel itself is beautiful, and its location is quite good, offering convenient access to various places. ## Service Overall, the service was good. However, I noticed from previous reviews that guests are usually contacted beforehand to confirm their check-in preferences, which didn't happen in my case. Additionally, food deliveries are not brought up to the room; guests need to collect them from the designated delivery locker. On the positive side, the front desk staff were very welcoming upon check-in, and the concierge took the time to thoroughly explain the room's facilities.
- Xkzhao
We were upgraded from a 70 sqm room to a 90 sqm suite. The location is superb, and the soundproofing is excellent! The room itself was nice and spacious, though there was a slight, faint odor. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and we left feeling very full and satisfied. They even provided a Dyson hairdryer, so no need to bring your own! The shower pressure was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable. There was even a washing machine with a drying function, which was a lifesaver for emergencies! The only slight drawback was the lack of a smart bidet toilet; my backside missed the warmth, haha. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel's environment is fantastic; its Chinese-style architecture offers picturesque views at every turn. Our room was very spacious, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the private hot spring was spotlessly clean. For my child's birthday, the butler thoughtfully surprised us with a cake, demonstrating truly attentive service. The complimentary photoshoot provided by the hotel was highly professional. The styling and makeup were beautifully done, and combined with the hotel's gorgeous setting, we were extremely happy with the resulting photos. The photographer was also excellent at guiding the children on how to pose.

As a reputable chain, Songpin Hotel offers excellent service. They provide a dedicated butler always ready to address any concerns. The ambiance is refined, and the cuisine is delightful. A particular highlight was the complimentary 'Le Chuan' travel photography session arranged by the hotel. They provided makeup and styling for our child in an authentic Tang Dynasty style, and the photos turned out beautifully ethereal. My child absolutely adored it. This hotel is definitely worth a return visit.

Facilities: Comfortable! 🧐I like Japanese hotels very much, because Japanese style is the Tang style that has traveled across the ocean, which is equivalent to traveling through time to experience the prosperous Tang style! The hot spring in the room (** has a diamond and has the right to speak) is the fastest and most convenient to use among all the private hot spring types I have stayed in. It is much more generous than the ones in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai where you can only take a bath once after checking in! The little deer is really a plus, very friendly, can't feed the teeth, very gentle and will not hurt the guests' hands, and very family-friendly as shown in the picture! ! ! There are also little cats in the cafeteria! So cute🧐 Just pick it up without stretching its claws or running away, you can tell at a glance that the people in the store are well-fed! Hygiene: Very clean! Whether it is the room or the public area, there is nothing to say, and the garden is so dense, it takes a lot of effort to keep it so clean. Environment: comfortable, the restaurant, public toilets, and lobby are all very classy. I like the corridor from the lobby to the restaurant the most, it is so photogenic. After the blues time in the evening, the outside is deep blue, and the warm yellow lights in the corridor are absolutely beautiful! The only thing I don't like is the red roadside palace lanterns, I feel that the color is a bit jumpy, and it may be better to make them look old. Service: The lady at the front desk is really!!! Pretty and warm!!! The service is meticulous, whether it is on WeChat or in actual actions, there is nothing to complain about! This place is expensive, but the quality is worth it!

The environment is very good. It is very clean everywhere. The housekeeper Xiao Hao is very patient and actively solves the problems raised. The arrangements are very satisfactory. The complimentary wagyu grilled meat for two people is quite large, which is enough for two adults and one child. The location is also very good, and you can walk to Jiezi Ancient Town. The only thing is that I think the smart system in the room is a bit useless and not very smart. Sometimes it is not very convenient, especially when the child falls asleep and voice control is not available. It always turns on the night light automatically when it is manually controlled. I hope it can be improved.

I have to give a thumbs up to the breakfast at this B&B. It's all locally grown vegetables, and the taste is truly different from city food. It left a deep impression on me. It's been a while since I've experienced authentic farm-style cooking. The B&B is located in Qingcheng Mountain, a tranquil and relaxing place. Evenings are great for watching fireflies, making it a truly idyllic experience. The staff were all very nice, making it feel like home. It's definitely worth a return visit.

The food at Suxian Valley is absolutely amazing, with fresh ingredients and exquisite, delicious dishes. Whether it's the local specialties or the breakfast, they're all incredibly memorable. The service is also excellent. The housekeeper is attentive and enthusiastic, helping with luggage and answering all your questions with meticulous care. Staying here feels like home and comfortable! I'll definitely be back next time!

1) Subway station is 30 seconds right across the road. 2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm. 3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best. 4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible. 5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose. 6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out. 7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron. 8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes. 9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.

Facilities: The facilities are complete and all the necessary equipment is available, including Dyson hair dryer, coffee machine, and comfortable bathtub. Hygiene: The floor looks very bright, the bedding feels very clean and comfortable to use. You can often see the cleaning lady cleaning, maintaining the hotel's high standards of public hygiene. Environment: In the wide alley, you can see the bamboo forest and green trees on both sides when you open the quaint door. There is a sense of seclusion. Although it is noisy outside, it is rare to be quiet inside the hotel. Service: From the initial reservation to check-in, and then to check-out, there has always been a dedicated person, Xiao Wang, to follow up and contact, meet the needs, reply to messages in a timely manner, and handle problems quickly. Location: In the Kuanzhai Alley scenic area. The subway station is at the door, whether it is taking a taxi, taking the subway or driving, it is still very convenient. Free parking for guests staying in the hotel. Food: I heard that the hotel has a state banquet restaurant, but no one went to experience it this time. I only experienced the hotel's breakfast. The overall feeling is still quite exquisite.

A Unique & Service-Oriented Experience, But Perhaps Once Is Enough ★★★★☆ | Stayed in September 2025 | Family with older children This is a very difficult hotel to rate because it does so many things exceptionally well, yet the overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Let's address the elephant in the room: the pandas. Yes, this hotel is a famous ”打卡” (daka) spot, and for good reason. The panda-themed decor is incredibly cute and photogenic. However, the novelty wears off after a few days. You quickly realize that the panda motifs are everywhere, just in different poses and settings. It's charming, but not a unique selling point after you've been in Chengdu for a while. Where this hotel truly shines is its service. The attentiveness and warmth of the staff are what elevate it from a themed B&B (民宿) to a genuinely luxurious establishment. They are proactive, incredibly helpful, and seem to anticipate your needs. The daily breakfast was an absolute highlight. It was less a meal and more of a lavish feast, with an extensive variety of both Chinese and Western options. The quality was outstanding and something we looked forward to every morning. It successfully made up for the afternoon tea, which was slightly disappointing in comparison. The selection was a bit limited and didn't quite live up to the standard set by the rest of the hotel. A word of caution for those booking certain room types: our room's private tea area was open-air. While beautiful, it's a prime target for mosquitoes. The hotel is very thoughtful and provides repellent and a very effective anti-itch ointment (like a strong Tiger Balm), but despite our best efforts, we still got bitten. Major plus points: This was one of the few hotels we found that comfortably accommodates three adults in one room, which is perfect for families. We also greatly appreciated that the hotel doesn’t have much of lingering cigarette smell. Would we return? Probably not, but purely because Chengdu has an overwhelming number of fantastic hotel options to try. This was a wonderful, one-of-a-kind experience, and I would still highly recommend it to families or first-time visitors to Chengdu looking for that iconic panda-themed stay with top-tier service.

We had an amazing experience at RETURN Courtyard Hotel. From check-in to check-out, the service was impeccable. Every staff member I met was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. Even went the extra mile to make my partner birthday a memorable one. The daily breakfast was lavish and delicious, offering a wide variety of fresh dishes that set the perfect start to each day. Location is another big plus, the hotel sits in an incredibly convenient spot right in the heart of Chengdu, just steps from Taikoo Li and IFS, making shopping, dining, and sightseeing effortless. Overall, a truly wonderful stay. I would highly recommend RETURN Courtyard Hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu and will definitely come back on my next trip!

Having had a rather rough service experience at the InterContinental the day before, my two-day stay at the Waldorf Astoria was a welcome change and a very pleasant experience. The view of the Twin Towers was impressive, especially stunning at night. The room itself was remarkably well-maintained, not showing its nearly 10 years of age at all. The front desk is conveniently located on the 50th floor. A special shout-out to Ethan for his excellent service; he was incredibly quick and helpful in responding to all our requests. Breakfast was also fantastic, offering both a buffet and à la carte selections – though I couldn't quite bring myself to have a steak first thing in the morning!
- Anonymous User
This hotel is quite new in a quiet area near business district and a park. About 10 minutes walk to metro and 30 minutes train ride to central or in tourist attractions. You can see the beautiful LED light show from the twin towers at night. They have a few different style restaurants Asian and western. D99 on 49th floor is a great restaurant provides excellent breakfast and different styles of meals of your choice. Staff are very friendly and provide great service. Amenities are 5 stars standard but the hair dryer is very heavy and old. If they can change to Dyson hair dryer will be much better. You can take a walk or exercise in the park early morning. The reflection of the lake is beautiful for photos. The whole stay is very pleasant.

The front desk at this five-star hotel completely messed us around! After checking in and getting to our room, I eagerly opened the curtains, only to find there were no pandas 🐼 anywhere in sight. I immediately called to ask where my promised panda view was! The staff member replied that they would transfer me to the person in charge and asked me to wait. After waiting for a while with no callback, I went directly to the front desk to speak with the staff who had checked me in. They informed me that there were no panda view rooms available. I insisted that I had specifically booked a panda room, and my reservation was confirmed successfully. I argued that if a room is successfully booked, it should be allocated to me, and if there truly were no such rooms, it shouldn't have been available for booking in the first place. My booking confirmation meant a panda room was reserved for me. (I was very upset and firm in my stance). They tried to suggest it might be because I had previously requested three adjacent rooms and smoking rooms, which I quickly clarified I was willing to forgo, but the panda view room was non-negotiable. Still, they kept repeating that there were no rooms! Then another staff member came over to ask what the problem was, and I repeated my entire story. This staff member, seemingly trying to be helpful, suggested that the elevator lobby windows offered a view of the pandas, and I could go there if I wanted to take photos! Are you kidding me?! The whole point was to see the pandas from *my room* 🐼, and you're telling me to go to the elevator lobby? I vehemently disagreed and, extremely angry, told him that he absolutely had to give me a panda room today (raising my voice significantly). 😡 Eventually, they finally gave me a panda 🐼 room, and without any further wait! (smiley face emoji) What kind of game were they playing? Why couldn't they just assign it to me from the beginning instead of making me jump through hoops and argue? (They had told me twice in between that there really were no rooms). The facilities were just okay – they seem to have been renovated, but I hope they can improve the bathrooms.

For my birthday celebration, I once again chose the Niccolo Hotel. I always stay here because I'm consistently impressed. The Chengdu location is conveniently situated opposite the bustling Taikoo Li and is also connected to a shopping mall, which is incredibly convenient. I'm always satisfied with the hotel's quality and its luxurious feel in every aspect. The service is also incredibly refined and attentive. They even sent a cake for my birthday! If you were to ask about my experience, I'd simply say it was excellent, as always. I will definitely be booking again! The only minor inconvenience was the limited number of USB charging ports on the power outlets, which was a bit inconvenient. It shouldn't be hard to upgrade a few panels, and I hope this can be improved.

Our first stop on this family trip to Chengdu, Sichuan, was this long-standing five-star hotel. We initially booked it for its prime location, but we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service. The rooms are well soundproofed, ensuring a quiet stay despite being in a bustling downtown area. The comfortable mattresses allowed the seniors in our family to sleep soundly. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, and the pastries and desserts were excellent, a big hit with the kids. Upon arrival, one of our rooms wasn't fully prepared, so we had to wait briefly. However, the very next day, the hotel proactively upgraded our room. When checking out, we accidentally left behind a thermos and some food from the mini-fridge. The hotel customer service proactively arranged for these items to be sent via free fresh delivery to our next hotel – truly above and beyond service! The whole family was thoroughly impressed, and we'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip to Chengdu.

One of the rare 4 star hotels where you have a 2 in 1 laundry/dryer machine in your hotel. You actually get what you pay for, compared to some of the other 4 and 5 star hotels I’ve been to (room type dependant). I will be rebooking this hotel whenever I come back to Chengdu for the foreseeable future, literally because of the laundry machine. Every other service is top notch, hotel is in a great location. Well done to the team.

This year, I've stayed at three Marriott hotels. The one in Shenzhen received a negative review, and the one in Xi'an a positive one. This Chengdu Marriott landed somewhere in the middle – I didn't have much interaction with the hotel's service, so I won't comment on its quality. These days, staying at a high-end chain hotel often means a personal butler will connect with you (usually via WeChat) to proactively check on your needs, but this Marriott didn't offer such a service. What's more, the facilities felt quite dated; it's a hotel that's over ten years old, and the bathroom sink faucet was even leaking. The only thing I was satisfied with was its location. Situated on Chunxi Road, it's incredibly convenient to walk to Taikoo Li and other popular pedestrian shopping areas. When checking in, I asked the front desk for a room with a better view. I was given the highest floor, but honestly, the surrounding street view wasn't anything special. It was truly underwhelming compared to the stunning river view I enjoyed in Chongqing during my previous stay.

As an objective assessment from an industry peer: the facilities are dated. This is understandable, given their age and the reality that significant financial decisions are influenced by broader economic factors, not easily swayed by a few individuals. However, basic elements like hygiene, F&B, and service are areas where the brand's stated values absolutely can be upheld. While some aspects may not be quickly overhauled, the fundamental guest experience can certainly be improved through better management and training. I hope Chengli continues to strive for excellence.

The location of the hotel was great extremely close to the Chunxi metro. I was surprised by the room standard… the photos made the hotel seem a lot more modern than it was and the view was not impressive. The gym was two treadmills with laundry machines inside. The staff was very helpful though. The price I think was too high for the standard of room and even though I requested a non-smoking room which I received the smoke smell from other rooms came in during the night.

This hotel is a total steal for travelers! Its prime location offers easy access to nearby attractions. The front desk's handy DIY travel guide map is a lifesaver – you can follow it to avoid getting lost. The bright lobby feels cozy, and the staff's attentive service is a real plus. The best part? Don't miss out Huaxiting Seafood buffet dinner at 198 yuan, over 60 at 158 yuan. The hotel automatically sends you an electronic invoice when you check out, saving you the hassle of waiting. With such great value for money, I'll definitely stay here again!

With my family away this time, I decided to take a solo cycling trip. Having frequently stayed at the St. Regis in Shanghai, I was keen to experience the Chengdu property. The St. Regis boasts an excellent location in the highly convenient Chunxi Road/Taisheng South Road district, offering unparalleled accessibility. Upon arrival, the prominent 'Evergrande Group St. Regis Chengdu' sign instantly brought back nostalgic memories of the economic boom's glory days. Entering my room, despite it being a standard category, I was genuinely impressed by its spaciousness – the hotel truly delivered above expectations! As I was here for cycling, I rented a bike, and the concierge team very thoughtfully stored it for me, making pick-up and use incredibly convenient. After my first day of cycling, I enjoyed the buffet at the Show restaurant. The young restaurant supervisor was exceptionally polite and courteous; seeing her brought back memories of my own youth, and I found myself unexpectedly moved to tears. On my final day, due to unexpected heavy traffic, I only made it back to the hotel for check-out at 2:05 PM. My butler was incredibly understanding and thoughtfully extended my check-out time, giving me just enough time for a lightning-fast shower before leaving, which truly brought my cycling trip to a perfect conclusion.

The room was impeccably clean, and the overall ambiance was truly charming. I particularly enjoyed the wooden foot basin in the room, which thoughtfully came with a plastic liner and herbal packets – absolutely perfect for a relaxing foot soak after a busy day. In the evening, turn-down service included a cute little towel swan. What stood out as most fun were the panda-shaped candies at the front desk, a delightful local touch. Breakfast was served in individual portions; the 'chaoshou' (Sichuan wontons) had a distinctive Sichuan peppercorn flavor that was quite unique. It was a great system – no waste, and everyone got a satisfying meal.

The location is absolutely fantastic! Both Kuanzhai Alley and People's Park are just a five-minute walk away, and it's conveniently close to the metro station, making it incredibly easy to get around. The breakfast spread was generous, and the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Our overall experience was wonderful! The lobby provides coffee and drinks, the air conditioning works perfectly, and they even have robots deliver takeout orders directly to your room. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu.

We travelled with a baby and truly appreciated how baby-friendly the environment was. One of the standout features was their baby club, which provided a safe and engaging space for our little one to crawl and roam freely. It made such a difference to have an area designed with babies in mind. Room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable Breakfast option and selection is disappointing however still a great value stay overall, especially for big families.

West China Hospital and Sichuan Provincial Stadium commercial area Chengdu|1.89km from city center
I booked this hotel for my trip, and the location is fantastic – right in the city center with tons of dining options nearby. There's even a decent hotpot place right by the subway entrance. The staff here are incredibly thoughtful and responsible. As someone new to the area, they were always ready to answer any questions I had, making for a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean. It was really heartwarming to be greeted so warmly by the cleaning staff in the hallway every time – it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The front desk team was also incredibly thoughtful. They even offer a laundry service, washing and drying clothes if you're too busy sightseeing, and folded everything neatly in a basket – a truly thoughtful touch. There's also complimentary self-service freshly ground coffee in the lobby, and a cup before heading out in the morning is just what you need to feel refreshed. All in all, I had a very comfortable stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The Hilton Longquani is a very good hotel which can be used for business travel and leisure in Chengdu. Although located a little bit outside the city center there are still many local restaurants around the hotel to enjoy the local delicacies. The breakfast buffet is excellent and offers a broad variety of Chinese and Western dishes. The hotel is highly recommended.
