First of all, you want to start with the positive sides of this hotel, their two beautiful and well-designed territories, as well as a beautiful interior in the room and delicious meal on the menu at dinner.
On this the pluses end.
It was our third hotel on the island in this category and therefore there is something to compare with. The most unsuccessful place on the level of service.
Of course, if you are a non-critical restorant, this place will be appropriate.
We thought it was a very low level of management processes inside the hotel and savings for everything.
The room has capsules and a coffee machine that are paid (only two capsules of coffee are free for the entire stay).
All the drinks at dinner are paid, even water.
The food is delicious, but it is important to note that at dinner many times it has been time to wait for two hours. We have expressed our dissatisfaction on several occasions and are not ready to sit in the dining room for two hours, as we have work and we are very limited in time. Probably the cook just can't cook so much food for such a load of the hotel. Some people just got up and left without waiting for dessert. This is an extreme disrespect for the guests.
In the first days we noticed that shampoo, soul gel and other items were not replenished after cleaning, asked for respiratory measures, but only after a written complaint they took action and began to monitor cleaning more closely. Thank you for the operational reaction, we are pleased that the hotel is reacting and listening.
Probably I would recommend this hotel to take initially without food or just breakfast.
The hotel offers free kayaks, catamaran, on which you can swim along the beach, Hamam.
There is a tea pause (mundice): the first day is free, then 350 rupees a day.
The staff is friendly and keen to help, but it is necessary to work immediately quickly and clearly so that the guest does not have an unpleasant impression.

The overall service is good, except the waiters in the restaurant would never provide for the things u ask, e.g tomato sauce, ice, an additional plate,etc.
For the half board, the restaurant will change the menu everyday n u can choose 1 starter, 1 main course , 1 dessert amongst the 2 or 3 choices.
The room is very spacious n clean, comfy bed but the layout is no good.
It is strange to have the bed in the middle of the room with the bath tub, wash basin n toilet surrounding the bed.
But the cpu value is high compared with lots of other hotels in Mauritius. The room with jacuzzi is recommended

A truly remarkable stay. We are both kicking ourselves for not staying longer but we will be back for sure. From the shuttle drivers to the restaurant workers to the golf staff, they are a real credit to the company. Kind, helpful, proactive and lovely human beings. For golf lovers, this resort really has it all. Both courses are exceptional and the experience is second to none. You don’t have to worry about a thing as it’s all sorted out for you. The resort itself is second to none with facilities in abundance. The breakfast is a real showstopper. I would recommend booking dinner in advance as we struggled to get into the restaurants due to them being fully booked. Room service was exceptional though. The hotel lobby is absolutely stunning. The hotel offers many complimentary activities like pedal boats, paddleboarding, and snorkeling; for snorkeling and the glass-bottom boat tour, I highly recommend booking early.
Breakfast was average. We had lunch at the Wave restaurant, but the taste was nothing special. If the price difference isn't substantial, I'd recommend sticking to a breakfast-only booking, as the hotel's other dining options are pretty unremarkable.
During this weather, the north side experiences calmer waters, but activities such as helicopter tours to the waterfalls, the zoo, and boat excursions are all concentrated in the south and southwest. If you have ample time, I'd suggest staying at least two different hotels.From€260

Compare to Lux Belle Mare and Lux Grand Baie, Lux le morne is a disappointment in terms of service level. The structure of the buildings look nostalgic but it’s well maintained. The level of hygiene seems to be high. I love the beach which has the best on the island. But it is a shame they couldn’t utilise this. If you imagine the other two lux hotels I mentioned above are for Waitrose and harrods sippers then this le morne hotel is for Tesco shoppers.
They made mistakes in billing and quality of drinks is mediocre. I can do better at home.From€646

As a 5 star hotel and the high room rate, the service of this hotel is not up to the standard.
Most of staff in the restaurants have bad faces, n some of the receptionists at the front desk are not helpful. I have asked for a late check out owing to the late flight n poor weather condition with cyclone approaching, a fat lady at the front desk told me that we have to respect to the check out policy n she cannot even allow only 1 hour of late check out (pls note the check out time is 11am which is earlier than most of the other resorts n hotels in Mauritius).
Other housekeeping staff n bellboys are nice, the butler is also helpful but u have to find out all the information via their app/QR code. Although there are not too many guests in the hotel, they will ask u to make reservation for the dinner instead of walk in.
On top of all the above, the hotel’s cleanliness is a concern, 1 night I found a very big cockroach hidden at the back of minbar. It was so scary that I couldn’t sleep well that night.
For the pros, it has a very long beach line with clear water. It has a lot of facilities including library, game room, cinema, gym, water sports, 2 swimming pools n more restaurants with different cuisines than other hotels.
I chose it bcz it is ranked as a gourmet hotel but I found that the food is just fair.
In conclusion, I won’t pick this hotel for its average service n cleanliness with a very high room rate.Good59 Reviews

Facilities: three restaurants, two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The breakfast in the main restaurant is quite exquisite, and the food I ate for three days has not changed. The floating restaurant for dinner is very interesting and tastes good. It's just a little cold (it was winter when I went there). The spa is good and worth experiencing. I didn't try golf and shooting. It's a pity that there is no snorkeling activity.
