|16.01km from city centerI booked onehouse based on photos of the property. It is brand new property and the owner/manager, manish is putting real hard work to make it outstanding. I stayed for 3 nights in family suite and the experience was incredible. Rooms are spacious, clean, and boast of all modern amenities. Room service is responsive and food is good with affordable prices and generous quantities. Most amazing is the location of the property on hilltop and the views it affords. Very quiet place away from the bustle. Manish provided recommendations for sightseeing and arranged for reliable drivers. Only weather played spoilsport on couple of occasions. Overall heartily recommended.

The service staff are very welcoming, living in a separate room, enough for one person, with a small balcony to smoke on the balcony. The staffs were also very good withbtheir humble hospitality. Food was ok and economical. Very good place with peace. Heaven for photographers. Cons 1) I booked this property from Make My Trip and I paid 20k for two rooms with breakfast n dinner...I think MMT charged lots of extra money ....I believe I paid 5k extra in total amount. 2)However there is only 2 floors in upper side,but I think like others,This property should add lift so that old people also be in comfort.My mother faced the same. 3)Food quality is no doubt superb,but there should be varieties if we are paying 20k per night specially in dinner..... 4)Far from main City.......already mentioned there but still .....

AVINASH, THE MANAGER,was one of the most accommodating persons I have ever seen.A young guy,with an ever smiling face, would literally get the Moon for you, if you ask so. The rooms are big and clean. This is not luxury, but just short of luxury. The location and view are to die for. They serve nice Indian food, but I would suggest sticking to the basics. Don't expect them to shell out Michelin star dishes. They have tandoori dishes which are nice. The staff is very nice and cooperative . The river in front of the resort is divine. I was sitting in water for 3 hours and loved it. I will definitely go back again. Suggestion for Management: Some rooms need new mattresses, I think, as these ones are old now. Please change them. .

Facilities and amenities are not as shown in the app. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom, no dustbin in the room. There was no water bottle. No welcome drinks were served. Off-course there is the issue of not having proper mobile tower but the resort has its own wifi. So internet is available. Above the owner mr vijay and his staffs are very very good and cooperative. During peak season, there may be some delay in services as only 3 persons are handling everything but it was bearable as the stay was a memorable one. Overall it's ideal for 2-3 days relaxation for enjoying the nature and the bath in the river.

We were really happy with the service and would like to mention about ankush who is the chef and caretaker of the hotel. He will go out of the way and try to cater your demands. Located near riverside but the approach is not very smooth and you will find langurs on the way. All in all a very decent place to stay around lansdowne which is an hour's drive from this hotel

After going through lot of reviews and extensive search we narrowed down on Indian Culture hostel. We felt that it is quite recent in hostel list of rishikesh. It is behind the lax*** jhula taxi parking stand. Hostel premises are welcoming, rooms are neat, we stayed in a double room with attached washroom. There is lot of area for movement. Dedicated places for relaxation and social chatter where you can meet fellow travellers from all across the globe. One of our nights during our stay though we had a little unpleasant experience. There is a dedicated yogshala in the premises. It was exactly opposite our room no. 103. We had had a tiring day and went to sleep around 2230hrs, few hostel inhabitants were gathered in the yogshala at night. At first, all of them were talking, but later in the night round 2300hrs, they started playing music. It was not too loud, but due to open space it could be clearly heard in our room and was enough for us to not get sleep. I was just about to go and request them to stop playing the music, when the gathering was finished and everyone went back to their respective rooms. We saw the time it was 2.30am post midnight. Half of the night we were rendered sleepless due to them. Other than this incident, everything else is quite good. Staff is helpful, food is delicious at Kumbha: their in house cafe. Overall good stay.

|11.48km from city centerFirst I would like to warn you about the location - the property is not in Lancedowne but 'Sisladi' village, about 12 km from the city-centre. Now, if that is not an dis-incentive for you and you want to soothe your nerves in a quite, peaceful atmosphere, just go and stay there - you will get full value for the money you spend. There are 2 buildings face to face across the road. The ones in the upper arm offer great views of distant mountain ranges. Not sure about the rooms in the lower arm. The lower arm houses the front desk, the kitchen and dining hall also and so may be a bit noisy all the time. Insist on a room on the upper arm. We stayed in Room No 301 ( Upper arm) with mesmerising views. We paid Rs 6500 for 3 people for one day including breakfast and dinner. The quality of food served was also very good ( both veg & non-veg). Service was quick and the staff, helpful. Over all, nice stay. The famous Tarakeswar temple is also quite near.

Come at 2:00 a.m., include lights and noise, the same thing and in the morning at 6:00 a.m.! Talk by phone or with each other. There are public areas for conversation.
