Super friendly and helpful staff they changed their room to have the view of the Harem. Amazing view. Clean tidy room. Rooms are really nice and spacious. The hotel is right in front of Haram.
But we didn’t see room service but at the third day. We kept calling the operator but no one answers.
For its price it’s a great hotel if you don’t mind the above.

|1.15km from city centerLocation was good but the room was terrible the towels given had somebody’s hair on, very strong Cigarette smell in room because somebody was smoking inside hotel and I struggled to sleep been coughing, Aircon blowing very bad air which resulted in struggling to breathe. I reported this and I was asked to come back next day speak to the Manager which I did. I spoke with Mr Turki who promised me to resolve this but he did nothing. Originally I booked 4* Nusk AlMadinah but when I was about to check-in they sent me to Nusk AlHijra. Please avoid this hotel if you have asthma, or with pregnant/elderly person because smoke smell was very strong. Smoke was coming from the picture I attached in this review. Hotel Staff DID NOT CARE!

|1.77km from city centerStayed at crown plaza, which was a block away from masjid a nabawi. That was very important as were able to attend all the prayers. Breakfast buffet was fit for a king. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Except we were given the worse room of all. Shower had one door as a result the whole bathroom would be flooded. Safe was broken, they tried to fix it but couldn't. Carpet was full of stains. Hope they maintain it better or will lose us as their customer.

They have a cafeteria in the lobby where breakfast is served, not in the form of buffet but one can order a breakfast dish, with a drink and water (one for each). 5-10 minutes drive to Masjid-e-Nabawi by taxi, cost totally upto your negotiation skills. Al Rashed Mega Mall is just across the road but the road is so busy, please don’t even think of crossing it straight on foot. Either take a taxi (sounds weird) or walk down the lane till a crossing and then come back all the way up. During my stay of 3 nights, I couldn’t go there even once. On the lane behind, 10 mins walk away, you will be able to find all restaurants like tazaj, dominos, mcdonalds etc. Overall, a pleasant stay, 20-30 mins from Airport and Harmain Train Station.

|1.71km from city centerVisited with my husband and two children aged 15 and 10, along with my parents and my grandmother. We had two connecting rooms and this was perfect for us to be able to have plenty of room but also easily spend time together. The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of masjid Al Nabi and we were very impressed with it. Check in was smooth and painless. Our room were ready and in the correct configuration. They were clean, modern and spacious. The staff were all pleasant and big shout out and appreciation to all the cleaning staff, very hard working and thorough. The WiFi was fast and easily accessible. There was plenty of storage space, the bathroom was well appointed, there was a safe and a fridge. Basic toiletries were provided as well as a hairdryer. Breakfast was included and we really enjoyed the variety and especially the Karak chai at the end. There is an omelette station, pancakes, pastries. Hot and cold buffet. Lots of cakes and yogurts, fresh fruit. Again the staff very pleasant and helpful. We did not eat any main meal at the hotel. It was quite pricey, we did have ice creams and snacks from the cafe on the ground floor. The lifts were plentiful but did become very busy during namaaz time which is understandable. The staff did try their best to ensure some level of organisation but sad to say some of the guests really lose all sense of decency. Both here in Madina and in Makkah I am amazed at the complete lack of simple courtesy or repect for ladies or children. Even people in wheelchairs being shoved and pushed. Not the hotels fault, I simply mention it so generally people can be aware. It is located in an ideal location near to the ladies gate and we found it to be a good location for shops and restaurants also. Would be happy to stay again.

|1.69km from city centerFirstly I would like to make very clear that there are two Movenpick hotels in Madinah which some reviewers seem to be mixing up! This one is part of the Accor group and the Movenpick Madina that we stayed in. It is BEHIND the Pullman Zamzam Madinah, which faces one side of the Masjid al Nabawi haram. So it is a couple of roads walk away from the haram on the opposite side to the female entrances to the haram. This is nowhere near five star standard. Due to the poor condition of the bathrooms and room decor I would say three is being generous. Despite its attractive entrance and reception this is a rundown hotel in need of refurbishment, in particular the disgusting bathrooms. The bath, sinks and tiles were old, stained and mouldy. This was made worse by the fact that the housekeeping was very poor. The rooms weren’t cleaned and towels not changed unless we requested this. The actual rooms were ok despite the tired looking furnishings and lack of cleaning. The receptionist who checked us in apologised for not giving us adjacent rooms, but we discovered we did have adjacent rooms, and both were triple rooms. The rooms were quite spacious with comfortable generous sized beds but the TVs had very poor reception and the wifi was appalling, regularly dropping out. The fridges in the rooms were tiny and barely cold. In fact they and the lights turned off whenever we took the key cards out! Because of the hotel location the view out of the window was depressing, a view of the main road. A nice touch though was that as well as a Quran there was a nice prayer mat in each room. On our first morning we went down to breakfast to discover that the female staff had already let some guests have breakfast for our rooms. The head of staff quickly resolved this apologising profusely. In fact apart from this confusion on the first day we found the restaurant staff to be very nice people. They always had a smile for us and the waiters always ready to assist. We were very very disappointed with the very limited cooked breakfast items - there was barely any variety and apart from on one day only vegetarian options. The pancakes were disgusting and tasted like long life ones from packets rather than freshly made. Very very disappointing. But the worst was that there was no fresh coffee!! Only sachets of instant coffee. How is this possible in a so called five star restaurant? There was a big unhealthy selection of pastries though. And the strawberry juice when available was nice. We tried to order room service in the evening on one occasion- the staff member (chef?) who answered the call was rude and told us some of the items were either unavailable or incorrectly described on the menu! On the whole staying at this hotel was a major inconvenience due to its location and at best it is a three star hotel. I would not stay here again.

|1.49km from city centerStayed as our agent said it’s very clouded to masjidul Nabi which it is. The hotel from any lifts looks amazing. But that’s where it stops. The rooms are smaller than you’d expect for a ‘5star’ hotel. The rooms have fridges in but they do not give you and ironing board nor iron. It’s 14 stories and the has many lifts but can be quite annoying as when the lift stops on your floor the lift may be full and you then have to wait for another one. There is no azaan in the room it self but from outside the rooms you can hear the azaan. The breakfast is on the mezzanine floor. The breakfast has some different options that you’d expect. There is someone there that makes fresh omelette , fried eggs etc and waffles on request. One thing I’d recommend for the hotel if staff can ihave knifes on the table as it’s very hard to spread jam with a fork. The business centre has very old computers running on office that seems like a is a 97-2003 version. The computer internet doesn’t work and was difficult to use. The WiFi is so so. Can be better but wouldn’t complain if it can get the tablet or phone working, which it does but the buffering is annoying.

The hotel is behind the first tier from the haram gates. Location is really good with easy access to Bin Dawood and Taiba Commercial Centre. Con again is location. Although very convenient for the men. Ladies have to cut across the Haram courtyard. A 7 to 10 min walk to their side of the mosque. It claims to be a 5* which i think is stretching it a bit too much.

It is said that the hotel is more like a B&B without many services. But there are four rooms on one staircase, and the room size is okay. It was a very comfortable stay and a great value for money.
