The hotel is down a busy cobbled street in the town centre you can not access it directly from the road. Our bus dropped us off at the near by ferry port, where we were greeted by hotel receptionist they took our luggage and guided us on foot to the hotel We had to wait for our room to be ready which was abit annoying as we had already been delayed at the airport waiting for a second flight to arrive. Room We had a street facing twin room with no balcony. We didnt feel a balcony was necessary as we spend alot of time out and about sightseeing. If you have the windows open it is very noisey from the street below but there are shutters and good double glazed windows to filter the noise. I’m glad I didnt book a balcony as they look out onto a dirty back street and overlooked by the stairwell. If you want a quiet spot use the small but adequate roof terrace. Room was clean and modern looking. 2 beds, safe (free to use) fridge, tv, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and hairdryer. There isn’t alot of storage space for clothes. Food/Restaurant On the first night you are shown to a table that is your table for the length of your stay. Starter is salad and buffet food There is 4 courses all together -pasta, main and desserts are table service that you choose at breakfast time. One of the evening meals neither of us could find anything to eat for our main course, the head waiter agreed that we could have an omelette with the vegetables served, although an odd combination it was nice to even be given that option. The portions are small and even with for course still not really enough. The food does taste nice and good quality just need at least double The atmosphere in the restaurant is rather unpleasant with white padded walls bright lighting and people eating in silence. The waiters in their tuxedos watching over you do not make you feel at ease Breakfast is all buffet with cereal, toast, cooked, fruit and pastries to choose from all you can eat style Tea, coffee and juices are included at breakfast. If you have an early pick up for the return flight home be sure to ask about getting an early breakfast. Breakfast usually starts at 7:30am but when we departed we were picked up at that time so they allowed us to eat at 6:30am they then took our cases to the ferry port at 7 am. Riva itself is a bit boring especially in the evening when the only thing to do is eat and visit one of the local bars/cafe The cable cars up mount Baldo in Malcesine is a MUST there will be a long queue but the view at the top is breath-taking. Make sure you go as part of your visit to the lake.

Visiting with a small tour group; room was interestingly shaped-- my view was just ok. Temp control was difficult, but was able to open window to get it right. Shower has no shelves for personal items. Dining room staff was wonderful- food ok. When in Italy you expect over the top. Dinner though 4 courses was pre-fix for our tour group with only 2 options for main entrée. The breakfast buffet was nice. Right outside was the Christmas festival and easy walk into the small town. Waterfront views just outside the hotel wonderful. Hotel has roof top seating and offered great views. Funny thing is the lights are energy efficient, but when you exit the hall is so dark unti lthe lights go on. Bar had bartender only one night of our visit- the front desk staff served guests on other nights. Bar in lobby area was convenient to sti an relax with friends.

We booked half board. On the first night we ate a la carte on the terrace. The food was good. After that we had to eat indoors as half board guests and the food was of canteen level at best. It was extremely disappointing. In explanation, the lady owner said that there are two separate kitchens, which seems rather odd for a 'four star' rated hotel. She defended the standard served and claimed that her half board food was fresh and excellent and that it was my just 'my opinion' and followed up with the old adage of 'no one has ever complained before'. I was with my family in a group of over 20 and we were all seriously put off by her attitude and the low half board standard. Breakfast - a second coffee machine is essential. The service is not 4 star at that time of day. The spa area was really enjoyed by some of the family who tried it out. The lift is very slow and although strictly made for 8, we were told to have no more than 3 in there at a time. Made us feel a little uneasy. The rooms are clean and are serviced well on a daily basis.

My daughter and I chose this hotel because it was small, in a great location and has lovely common areas. Ana was wonderful, helping me via email before our trip with all my questions. We were on an active vacation, mountain biking, climbing, hiking and via ferratas. The location of the hotel is literally across the street from the start of one of the best via ferratas in Riva del Garda and the bike shops are easy walking distance. After morning adventures, the pool was a perfect place to relax and regroup. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel one evening which was delicious ( I will cover in a different review ). The hotel is right on the edge of old town which meant it was easy walking to the waterfront, shops and restaurants, but removed enough that it was peaceful and quiet. I had booked a regular room, but upon communicating with Ana before hand, chose to upgrade to having a room with a view of the lake. Breakfast in the morning had everything you could want. Meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, delicious pastries, fresh fruit and more. There were seven different loose leaf teas available to try as well. We were on the top floor, a nice, clean room with a desk, armoire for our clothes and a comfortable Queen bed. In the evening before we went into old town for dinner we would have an aperitif either on the comfy couches in the lounge area or at one of the outside table on the terrace surround by fruit trees and lush gardens.

We stayed 7 nights in this nice hotel. Our stay was extra pleasant because we were upgraded to an apartment. It gave us just a bit more space and especially having a kitchen with a refrigerator is a bonus. Always important for a hotel, how is the bed and pillows, the good news is: they gave us a good night sleep. The easy access to the centrum of Riva via the back of the hotel is also very nice. The breakfast buffet is decent, it includes different breads, pastries, pancakes and crepes, eggs, yogurt, etc. The last day we had to leave early to the airport. Therefore we paid the bill a day earlier. They helped us to print our boarding passes. The hotel was so kind to surprise us with a breakfast to-go on the last morning. Something that the hotel isn’t required to do, but the did! Hotel Canarino, thank you for your service that made our stay extra pleasant!

Lake view Superior room is wonderful with an unbelievable gorgeous view. Lot of bus tour groups, would guess rooms they get arent as nice. Free breakfast buffet was crowded with tour groups, food blah, coffee pretty good. Location of hotel and views is truly amazing, never seen a more beautiful view. As far as management it was a joke. Paid good money for room only to arrive and find gorgeous room with a huge puddle of standing water in bathroom and dirty clothes in open safe. Left to go to lunch and stopped at front desk, handed him a bag with dirty clothes and told him about puddle of water in bathroom. Came back 2 hrs later to find puddle still there. Go down to front desk, he tells me they are wating for evening housekeeping supervisor to determine if there is a leak or if it wasnt properly cleaned. At this point I loose my temper and read him a riot act. He comes up cleans puddle himself, apologizes and brings me up a small bottle of prosseco and a fruit tray to make amends. It turns out to be a leak and next morning same problem again. We go down to breakfast and complain at front desk. A different gentleman now tells us with an attitude that they are aware of the problem and will get to it when they can. Mind you we have no idea where this water is coming from or if its sanitary. I again have to loose my cool with this jerk on our nice vacation. We cant take showers we want to leave for the day. I sit down and write an email to their corporate email address. That was never acknowledged or answered. We left for awhile and when we came back they had cleaned room and fixed problem. Rest of stay was fine. At checkout they would not make adjustment to rate for problems we had and just stated that it had been fixed. Again nice hotel lousy management with bad attitude so beware.

Stayed for two nights. The accommodation is very stylish and spacious, with a reasonably comfortable bed. Ants in the kitchen area were a bit of a problem but we were only staying for two nights so didn't intend to cook so an inconvenience rather than a problem. The accommodation was a little expensive for the non-peak season, and the cleaning of the pool in the morning, the time when we would prefer to use it was also inconvenient. The locations was also just a little too far out of town to walk, and whilst there was two restaurants fairly close, these seemed to get busy, not the accommodations fault but one one night we got a table and on the other we didn't so were faced with having to walk further or return to the accommodation to get the car, so booking a restaurant ahead may be best.

Just got back from a weeks holiday at Hotel Luise and wish I was still there! Possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! If I could give more then 5 stars I would. We booked a room with a balcony that we knew was overlooking the front of the hotel. When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded and got a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the pool with a massive terrace and jacuzzi bath. It was absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean and huge! The breakfast was amazing!!!!! The bread and croissants especially! We also enjoyed the cocktails served in the bar in the evening (the Sage Evening was a personal favourite!) The staff at the hotel were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Missing our fur babies back home we also loved Oreste, the resident cat! All being well we will be back soon, for a longer visit next time!

This hotel was everything we needed. I travelled with a friend, we had a twin room. The room was bit dated and the extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom but other than that it was fine. the beds were comfy. There were robes and slippers in our wardrobe for us to use around the pool. The staff were very friendly. We were half board, this was a different half board to what I was used to. You were allocated a dinning table for the duration of your stay, I liked this as we never had to look for somewhere to stay. Breakfast was always buffet with lots to choose from but the dinners were A La Carte - you were given a menu at breakfast which you would choose your evening meal from. They were always very tasty and well presented. You also had a Buffet choice as a starter to your evening meal. We would definitely stay here again! A tip for travelling the other towns around the lake: buy a Lago Alto ticket for €22 - this allows you to hop on and off of the ferry. We went to Limone and Malcesine. They are beautiful towns and a must see! Also, a Hugo Spritzer is now my favourite drink!

We've never been to Italy before so this was a 1st for all of ower group, and I have to say it was amazing,we stayed at the Hotel Europa at Rva Del Garda right on the lake front. The hotel was superb we had an amazing time the food was very good although they could have had a change from scrambled or boiled eggs at breakfast but other than that we found no faults with quality, the rooms where comfortable although the single rooms I believe where a bit cramped not enough space for everything. The resort itself was great plenty of bars and restaurants ,if you didn't have half board, not cheap but then again we were told that Italy was expensive. We did a boat trip round the lake and stopped off at different towns, travelled to Venice well worth a trip it's a beautiful city and we did a gondola ride which is a must. Visited Verona for the day, again it has a lot of history, saw juliet's statue and the balcony, and travelled up to the Dolomite what an amazing day that was. All in all our holiday was amazing I don't think anyone could say anything negative about it. The best thing about the trip was the company we booked with all the trips where included in the price except the gondola which was extra but still worth doing it cost €20 per person which was booked by our guide who travelled with us daily on all the trips

Hopefully this review will give you pointers for you to decide on which part of lake garda and subsequent hotel to choose. As I went through lots and finally settled on the villa Nicolli. Its a no way a bad review of the hotel. Arrived late September and location to the old town is excellent a 10 minute quick walk or 15 minute stroll which we did on most evenings. We were half board which meant we ate out for lunch and drinks all of which in riva are surprisingly cheap. Cheapest bottle of wine in the hotel was 29 euros which is a hefty price to pay compared to 15-18 in the bars. We did stretch to a bottle in the bar of the hotel one evening, bartender was very nice even recommending select spritz to the bf who has now claimed as his favourite over Aperol. Service was excellent but the bar was lacking a lot of atmosphere. No real music or entertainment, not sure if everyone was in riva or in their rooms as the dining room looked full each evening. Now the dining for breakfast it caters very much continental so a choice of about 3 meats and 2 cheeses each morning and THE most amazing pastries. You could have eggs cooked and streaky bacon however no English style cooked breakfasts if that's what you are looking for. Lots of bread and fruit, yoghurt on offer so it was no bad thing we missed English breakfasts all week! In terms of evening meal we didmt realise it was a set menu each evening. 4 courses and if you didn't like what was on offer there was a couple of alternatives you could have but not many. We never went hungry but lots of dishes not to our personal taste and not somehting we would have ordered. A bit more choice would have been nice. We had the same table each evening which was nice and service good. We saved a lot of money due to prices in riva being cheap that we treated ourselves to a meal by the lake on the last evening. We didn't use the outside pool, it was deserted I assume to it being too cold. The spa looked well used but we didn't ourselves. Room was a good size and clean. The bed is very firm and so were the pillows which the hotel kindly got me a couple of softer ones. The balcony was Nice with 2 chairs but no table which I found strange. Little fridge in the room but you are instructed not to use it for anything you buy its just for mini bar use only. We were a young couple and the general market in this hotel was a bit older. If you are looking for a quiet retreat than this maybe for you. We would return to the hotel but only on a bed and breakfast basis as we love the choice in riva.

The back door of the hotel is Garda Lake, where you can swim and windsurf, and there is a windsurfing school in the hotel. The breakfast is fairly plentiful in Europe, and the service is in line with the high standards of northern Italy. The styles of the rooms in the new building and the old building are quite different. The hotel is like a big park, with good plant landscape design. The only problem is that pets are allowed in the hotel. Many people stay with dogs and they will urinate everywhere. Although individuals also love dogs, they are also worried about the indoor and outdoor hygiene of the hotel...

We only booked a few days in advance for the beginning of July and paid 228 euros for 2 nights with breakfast. Free parking in the hotel’s car park. OK, so the hotel didn’t have views of the lake, but our room had a balcony with a view up the mountain and it was only a few minutes’ walk to the lakeside. And it did have a large pool, which was refreshing without being cold, with plenty of sun loungers round it and shade under the olive trees if you wanted it - lovely. The welcome was warm and we were supplied with a useful information sheet. There were free snacks in the bar between 6 and 7pm, with drinks at reasonable hotel prices (3.5 euros for an Aperol spritz and 5.5 euros for a gin and tonic) and free sessions of tai chi in the morning and yoga in the late afternoon, amazing. Cycles were available for hire at 15 euros per day (sadly no longer free as mentioned in one or two of the reviews). The free wi-fi was pretty good, even round the pool, although very slow/lacking bandwidth at times. In contrast to the cool, modern reception/bar/restaurant, upstairs was more basic and homely. The lift was slow to glacial, with an annoying tendency to ignore your call button, or randomly cancel it. The room was fine, although not large, modern or luxurious. Large comfortable bed, but very sad, flat pillows (we later found better ones in the wardrobe). There was air con, but it would not go below 24 degrees. There was no safe, fridge or kettle. The bathroom was very clean with an OK shower and, a very rare feature in the eight hotels in northern Italy in which we stayed, a proper towel rail! The breakfast was very good - an extensive buffet, including a large vegan section. We ate on the pleasant terrace overlooking the pool. There were the usual juices, cereals, yogurts, fruit, cheese meats, bread (including decent wholemeal), croissants and lots of cakes and pastries, but also fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon and hard boiled eggs. The coffee and hot chocolate, although from a machine, were good.

The hotel as such is clean and comfortable; the staff are friendly and efficient though at times short in number. As a place to stay for a short visit to the area whether on holiday or on business then it is adequate, though the hotel has a rather basic feel about it. Breakfast from the continental buffet was quite acceptable. However, what was sold to us by National Holidays was not simply half board in a basic hotel but a complete “Festive package” that promised to cater for our every need throughout Xmas and New Year. We were led to expect entertainment and celebrations in keeping with the spirit of the festive period. Our expectations were therefore high. Unfortunately our hopes on the entertainment front were immediately dashed when we realised that the venue was a small area of the bar cleared of chairs and tables to make room for a lone guitar player who was to be our “entertainer“ for the whole of our holiday. Rather elderly with very little to say he appeared on three out of the ten evenings of our stay including New Years Eve. On the other seven evenings there was nothing so guests were left to their own devices and because the bar had insufficient seating many spent their evenings elsewhere. The same is true during the days when those who declined to go on the coach excursions (four of which were at extra cost) were provided with nothing but an empty bar to sit in. Lunch was not available leaving no option but to seek a cafe or another hotel many of which were closed. Before again offering a "festive package” at the Royal Hotel National Holidays should review their description bearing in mind the following points :- • The hotel is too small as a place of entertainment. Xmas and New Year revellers expect sufficient space to sit and to dance. • A single third rate musician does not meet people’s expectations of festive entertainment. • The meals generally were of limited choice. Bland, lukewarm and served in very small portions. Even the so called “Gala Dinners” were little better. Several guests left the dining room early on Xmas and New Years Eve expressing their disappointment at the cuisine being served. • A feature of the holiday was a visit by coach to a wine merchant where many guests made purchases as festive treats. However they were not happy to be told firmly that the hotel will not allow drinks on the tables other than those purchased at the bar. Such pettiness does nothing to create a “Happy Christmas” • Given that many cafes are closed during the holiday period it would be reasonable to expect the hotel to provide something for lunch even if it is only a snack to be purchased at the bar. • The hotel made only a token attempt at creating an atmosphere of celebration and in this they failed miserably. Finally the highest praise is due to the coach drivers David and James whose professionalism and friendliness saved this holiday from being a complete disaster.

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of staying in Kristal Palace Hotel on a tour by RivieraTravel. I chose this Grand Hotel from reading unbiased independent reviews here, so I want to share my wonderful experience. Firstly the hotel is maintained at a high standard. It’s clean, fresh and tastefully decorated. The rooms are medium sized with a balcony and a very good en-suite bathroom. The rooftop pool / bar area has stunning views of the lake and mountains. It’s lovely having breakfast there. Some days they have a guitarist playing at breakfast time. We were lucky we had the pleasure of Alla Seala who played in the style of Tommy Emanuel excellently. The courteous service offered by every staff is so welcoming. I especially wish to thank the dining staff for their hard work in making our dining experience enjoyable. Special mention to Mr.Massimo the head dining staff member. He has a good sense of humour and a pleasant manner. The hotel is about 20 minutes walking distance along the lakeside to the old town. There are shops and a supermarket close by. The old town is lovely but if you wish to explore a more beautiful old town and surroundings, a visit to Malcesine is a must. We spent a day in Verona. This city is one of the most beautiful city in Italy. You have got to keep to the “Old Town” district. It has many old buildings steeped in history. We had a very knowledgable scholar in Mr.Andrea as a guide. For me Verona came alive with his enthusiasm and knowledge of the city. We were told that the Old City of Verona is now classed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The other must do trip in Garda is to go to the Dolomites. Our tour organised it and it is an experience you won’t forget. For independent travellers they must find a way to see the Dolomites it’s worth the wonder. It’s spectacular. I love the Italian Lake Districts. I have so far visited all of the major Lakes and Lake Garda tops it all. Lastly I must add that this is my 4th trip with Riviera Travel and they have been of high standard in every aspect. From booking to the trips and accommodations. On this trip a special mention to our tour representative/ guide Mr. Gian- Luca. He was caring, kind, patient and soft spoken. A perfect person for this job. Very knowledgable too.

We booked 3 double rooms to 2 nights in this hotel and by far this was the best hotel in our trip. A nice young lady welcome us once we arrived, did the check in and showed us our rooms, explained on the area and gave us some restaurants recommendations which turned out to be very good. The rooms are big and very clean, the shower is great. Breakfast had the best selection we had the entire stay in Italy, dinning room is clean and great service. The hotel is very nice located close to the local mall and to the high street with nice restaurants. about 15-20 min walk to city center. Highly recommended,

We've stayed here twice and we've never been disappointed. It's ran by a lovely, friendly family who can never do enough to make you feel welcome. The rooms are quaint but lovely, clean and modern. The cleaning staff are also excellent. It's located just 30 meters from the main road (great pizzeria and ice cream just around the corner) and there's parking. It's 50 meters from the lake front and a ten minute, lake front walk from the old town centre. Breakfast is a nice selection of fresh local pastries, fruits and juices. The coffee is excellent. Its served on the rooftop so you can admire the beautiful mountain view. It has it's own outdoor pool just opposite (added a photo), which is beautiful, clean and kept private by nice garden foliage. I could afford to stay in a more expensive hotel but I wouldn't, this hotel, it's staff and facilities are fantastic. I hope we will return soon.

We stayed at Hotel Brione for 8 nights at the end of August early September. We booked a balance room and were on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the mountains. It was absolutely beautiful. We were very happy with our room which was quiet and a very comfortable bed. The room was spotless and cleaned daily with towels changed. Breakfast had a good choice. We couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone we met was more than helpful and pleasant. This is a family run hotel and you get that feeling straight away. The owners are lovely people and seem very committed to providing a really good service. Their presence is always felt. We had the pleasure of dealing mainly with Elena and Joy at reception. They could not do enough for us. Even before our arrival we had some lovely emails with Joy who organised a transfer for us from Verona airport to the Hotel Brione. Both of them were extremely helpful and always happy to chat and give us local tips. A lovely surprise with our booking was that we also had access to complimentary hotel bikes. This was a highlight for us as we used them during the day but also at night to go into the centre of Riva. From the hotel, Riva is about 20 mins walk along the lake with a glorious view, but there are cycle paths everywhere...so the cycle along the lake was also superb. This was our first time in Riva and the position of the hotel was better than we had expected... you cross the road and walk less than 5 mins down a lane and you are at the lake....and that view would almost take your breath away! There is plenty of space to sit on the grass, a stoney beach and lots happening on the lake if you wish. Also a cute cafe. We felt we had picked the best spot along the lake. The hotel is on a main road but it doesn’t feel it. There is a lovely vibe around the area. At night before we went out for dinner we usually sat with a drink in the front garden by their little gin bar, which is a tiny converted caravan decorated with lots of fairy lights. Also directly across the road is a lovely friendly bar belonging to Bavaria camping. Bar Gelateria Flora, a short walk down from Hotel Brione serves the best ice cream and frozen yogurt. It is always busy and you can tell why when you experience it. They serve amazing selection of fruit and ice cream. We also ate close by two nights at the lovely Ristorante Bellariva, by the lake. Riva is a great central point for visiting some of the beautiful surrounding areas, either by ferry or bike or walking. The towns of Limone and Malcesine with spectacular views from the water by ferry. The cable car trip from Malcesine and a walk at the top is a must. A round trip by bike taking in the waterfall at Varonne, Arco, back along the canal to Torbole and along the lake back to Riva. This was about 20kms and for the most part an easy cycle, apart from a short steep cycle up towards the waterfall. For relaxation...we stayed by the pool at Brione Hotel for a couple of hours most days. It was

Helpful and friendly hotel in good location. Fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs made to order at no extra cost. In the summer the breakfast can be taken outside overlooking the beautiful garden and pool. Walk through the garden and you arrive at the lake. Perfect for both business and pleasure: bikes for exploring and plenty of parking.either in front of hotel or in underground car park In the summer the hotel has its own ice cream parlour with the best ice cream in Riva.

We arrived on 22nd December to spend one week’s holiday touring Lake Garda and Venice, Verona and more. We were part of a large group joining another group which arrived two days earlier. We were tired after our flight from Dublin and the subsequent coach journey from Milan-Linate airport. The hotel is an old building in the classical style of Italy with a magnificent garden adorned with old Roman type stone columns, terraces and statues with steps leading to a swimming pool used in warmer months. Riva town centre is one minute’s walk away and the most northern tip of Lake Garda. The reception is in a long hall with many large beautiful vases. There are many tables where you can seat yourself to take in the surroundings. If you want to smoke there is a large outdoor wooden terrace decorated with flowers. Even for the non-smoker this is a haven of peace. The hotel has been beautifully modernised and two lifts will take you to the four floors plus the Spa and pool in the basement. The artwork is classic and modern; it is magnificent and you spend much time walking from the sketches, landscapes, still life, portraits and modern work. Simply, we hadn’t the time to get all this done (another good reason to return). Bedrooms:- Spacious, tastefully decorated, large bed, lovely en-suite, small balcony with table and chairs for two and beautiful views of the serene hotel garden. Extra blankets and pillows are supplied. UK/Irish 3 pin sockets + mobile phone charging piece are there along with a large flat screen television (again which we didn’t have time to watch). Spa and Indoor Swimming Pool:- Available for €15.00 for the week; terrific value and demanded that we make some time for use. The heated pool is surrounded by coloured marble Roman supports. There are plenty of relaxing waterproof sofas where you can lie and chill out. If you want a room of silence it’s just outside of the pool with soundproof glass. Enjoy a free glass of tea or water while you relax or read. There is a sauna in another section of the swimming area and a hotter sauna for the more daring, but we availed of the steam room which soothed all our cares away. I’m not the kind of person who would have beauty treatments, but they are there at an extra charge if you wish. There are two tanning rooms where you can achieve a film star tan lying down or standing up. I don’t think any of the other users were overwhelmed by my over-weight whiter-than-white skin and my glaring and protruding one-pack. Food:- (i) Breakfast is mainly self service. There is a choice of cereals, juices, breads, cheeses, hams, yogurts, fruit and many sweet cakes. Pots of Coffee/Warm milk and tea are provided by the waiters almost instantly. Tables are pre booked for the Travel Department. You can serve yourself with scrambled eggs, sausages and rashers or a boiled egg if you wish. (ii) Dinner 7.30pm:- You’ve had time for a shower or a venture to the swimming pool after a long day of touring. You

Great location just off the main strip, with plenty of restaurants, shops, supermarket close by.,approx 20 min into riva old town but can be walked by the lake which is fantastic with plenty to entertain on the walk and a nice breeze most of the time. Coop supermarket less than 10 mins walk. Gardens of hotel fantastic with plenty of shade, different types of seating, hammock, sunbeds along with inflatable bouncy castles, playhouse, tabletennis, football area, swimming pool..all really nicely laid out in safe manner and also suitable for older people with nice quiet seating areas too. Rooms very clean, beds very comfortable, ... had self catering which consisted of the key to open a locked tiny kitchen...all substantial .There was a bar fridge in wardrobe with mineral waters in however ,in hotel literature it was announced that should guests use this fridge ,they would have to pay a daily rate...really!!?? Also on our first evening we realised we had no aircon..enquired at reception to be told we'd have to pay a fee of €55 for aircon for the duration of our stay..with mid 30 temperatures it was necessary but the extra fee despite the fact that we could have of availed of heating through the same system at no extra cost!!!!..surely in this day and age aircon should be built into room cost!... these little things stopped me giving 5 stars!

We arrived on our coach tour to a clean, welcoming reception. We had a meal, of sorts, in the very white restaurant but then... the rooms. These were dross to say the least. Dark, probably 1960 last time it saw up date. Low and very hard bed. Odd couple of chairs, tv table, wardrobe and in the shower room, can’t call it a bathroom, had the green accumulation on taps etc. Is it age, dirt? Pictures attached. No English tv channels but chose not to use tv anyway as aerial fitting looked broken. No tea, coffee facilities. Breakfast was ok. Can’t go far wrong with my choice of cereal, some fruit and toast or bread. Juice, water and hot drinks machine. There always seems to be cakes and biscuits at breakfast??? Evening meals were maybe typical offerings to coach tour quests. Soup, cooked meats, skinny fries with everything. One main meal consisted of two slices of pork with skinny fries!!!

After reading such quite poor reviews on this hotel my friend and I were thinking we should have booked somewhere else, but we have just come back from a week staying at this hotel and have had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is basic but very clean and our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels replaced. The swimming pool is lovely, much nicer then in some other hotels we thought , it has a lovely garden area alongside it to relax in as well. The views were wonderful from our room. We found the reception staff helpful and friendly and there was plenty of variety at breakfast, continental breakfast with plenty of rolls , crossants , fruit , scrambled eggs and more ....help yourself to tea and you are served coffee if required. We were B & B there so we ate out every night, plenty of lovely restaurants in the area, lovely walks by the lake, beautiful area, A big Thank you to Helen and Ivana our Newmarket reps who were wonderful, Helen was our rep on trips to Venice and around the Lake , wonderful lady. All in all we had a lovely holiday. I don't normally post reviews but after reading some of these on here felt I had to post one.

Me and my partner decided to stay at this hotel for my partners birthday. I booked it for him as a surprise and upon arrival we were thoroughly impressed! We had a double room with a balcony and it a was comfy and modern fit for us!! The balcony was small with a table and two chairs one for each of us. It had an amazing view over looking the mountains surrounding us. We spent numerous days by the pool which we enjoyed, being in the end of June it was extremely warm weather (30°c). The hotel was quiet and had a nice atmosphere to it, the staff was very warm and welcoming. Especially this old lady who worked there, I didn't catch her name but she didn't speak any English but tried her best to help me and my partner. Especially since we both suffered severe problems while we were there. I, myself got a series of severe bites all down my legs which were very irritant and the staff at the hotel helped me the best they could in providing an ice pack they even got some anti-bite cream to help with the irritation. Despite the staff not being able to speak ANY english... When we left the compound it was an adventure in of it's self. If you walk 10 mins from the hotel you will approach a series of shops and restaurants. The restaurants are amazing and the majority of them feel welcoming, however most of the of course accommodates classic Italian cuisine. Down this strip you can also go to the Lake's edge where you can swim in it admire it's beauty. However on all maps this little alcove is named a beach, but I wouldn't really call it a beach... it's more like a park where you can splash in the lake. 🤨 Other than this if you walk 20 mins after leaving the hotel to will walk into the town centre, don't do this on a hot day or you will regret it (especially when you have a ginger as a boyfriend..) but I can't really comment on the town as we barely even spent any down there. However the only reason I'm putting it down to 4* instead of 5 is because when we were leaving (had to depart at 5am) we couldn't exit the premises because the gate was locked, we had to climb over in the end. 😥 But I do think that this is down to human error and that we should have asked how to leave beforehand. But I do recommend this hotel to stay at if you ever think of staying in Riva Del Garda. I hope you have a great time in Italy!!

[Location] Super convenient. The airport train is just a five-minute walk from the Central Station. [Service] Check-in at the front desk will take the initiative to call for procedures. [Room] The theme is red and black. The rooms are not large but they are generally the same in Europe. The shower in the bathroom is particularly flush. The air conditioner is very cool. There are hair dryers. The floor-to-ceiling windows are facing the train station. [Characteristics] Breakfast and dinner are included, I feel very rich, there is a drink for breakfast, there is no waiter at dinner to ask if you need it, foreigners order more, white rice for dinner and some dishes are salty, and fruits, mainly worry about the day The unsafe black out of the house happened to be solved in the hotel. [Note] Dinner must go to the lobby bar on the first floor to pick up the roll, indicating whether it is to be eaten at 7:00 or 8:00, and the actual meal at 7:00 is half past six. [Details] The lobby on the first floor does not need to go down the stairs. There are public spaces in the lobby. There is a sofa lounge and a small bar. In the early morning, there are two sofas on the basement floor to sit and wait. [Overall] High cost performance is recommended.

A very poor stay experience, the hotel is in a good location, five minutes walk from Milan Cathedral, but the hotel service is really average, especially the two female executives in the restaurant, went to breakfast three days during the stay, never with us Say hello, expressionless. This is not the case for non-Chinese tourists. Instead, the waiters in the restaurant were more enthusiastic and smiling. On the second day of check-in, we also painted the wall and did not notify the guests in advance, so that the children's clothes became dirty when they walked. The most annoying thing is that the hotel ’s scheduled visit to Da Vinci ’s “Last Supper” costs 50 Euros. Five-year-olds are also charged in full (but in Europe, five-year-olds are basically free) Since the fee was notified by phone, there was no written confirmation, but the fare printed on the tickets we received was 15 Euros, so that we did not know this until check-out. The hotel explained that this is a VIP service and this charge is totally unreasonable.

The elevator in the hotel was really small and could only go in for two people. The front desk service was good. We arranged a large room on the first floor. It was heavy. No haha breakfast is rich, but it ’s been for three days. The hotel location is very good. There are a lot of sculptures in the subway station next to the subway station. It ’s very convenient to take the subway every day. The morning market is very lively and the fruits are cheap. The morning market goes further. There is an ice cream shop on the street corner. At noon, many foreigners buy that ice cream.
