In December 2022 we stayed at Village Savassi for the second time. The hotel is good, very well located, close to everything. Satisfactory breakfast, has those basic items found in every hotel. Cleaning, kitchen and manager Carol staff were very friendly. However, we noticed that there is no maintenance there. The sink in our bathroom was blocked (apt 1004) and there was a leak from the tail of one of the taps that dripped straight down, filling the floor with water. The phone has poor contact, every time we need to use it we have to try other positions for it to reach the line. The door key kept getting stuck, getting stuck, until the day it wouldn't open anymore and we were left out. We found out from an employee that most of the room locks are like this. The employee responsible for the repairs managed to unclog the sink but did not fix the leak. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are very soft. HOWEVER, IT IS WITH RESPECT THAT WE DECIDED NEVER TO STAY THERE AGAIN, AS LONG AS KLEBER, A NIGHT WORKER AT THE RECEPTION, CONTINUES TO WORK THERE. DURING MY 65 YEARS OF AGE, HAVING ALREADY STAYED IN MORE THAN 60 HOTELS AND INNS ACROSS BRAZIL, I HAVE NEVER BEEN AS BADLY TREATED AS I WAS BY THIS CITIZEN. THIS IS A COMPLETELY UNBALANCED PERSON, WITHOUT ANY PREPARATION TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC, HIS RUDENESS EXCEEDS THAT OF A HORSE, ARROGANT, AGGRESSIVE, ILL EDUCATED AND DOESN'T RESPECT THE ELDERLY. MY DESIRE WAS TO CALL THE POLICE TO SEE IF THEY COULD STOP HIM WITH THE SEQUENCE OF SCREAMS AND BRUTALITY. EVEN THOUGH HE WAS WRONG, BECAUSE HE LEFT US OUTSIDE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, IN THE RAIN, WITHOUT OPENING THE GARAGE, HE DISCONTROLLEDLY INSULTED ME TO THE POINT THAT I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO HIT ME. HE HAD THE ACCENT TO TELL ME: ”IF YOU'RE NOT SATISFIED, TAKE YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE”, AMONG OTHER AGGRESSIONS. HE MUST SURELY SUFFER FROM SOME PSYCHIATRIC PATHOLOGY. IT IS NEVER USED TO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC, BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH EDUCATION, WITH GUESTS, WHO ARE PAYING DEARLY FOR ACCOMMODATION. I'M STILL THINKING ABOUT TAKING ACTION AGAINST THE HOTEL, IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A RETREAT FOR THE MORAL HARASSMENT AND THE MISTREATMENT WE RECEIVED FROM THIS BRUTALITY. THERE IS A CAMERA AT THE RECEPTION THAT RECORDED THE ENTIRE AGGRESSION. WE LEFT THERE SHOCKED. DO NOT STAY THERE IF EMPLOYEE KLEBER IS STILL ON THE STAFF.

Depois de dirigir por mais de 6h do Rio de Janeiro para Minas Gerais, cheguei por volta de meio dia e meia ao Hotel Promenade Pancetti. Fui recebido calorosamente pela equipe. Meu chek-in estava para às 14h, mas anteciparam gentilmente e, ainda ofereceram-me um Upgrade de quarto. Quarto excepcional, serviço de primeira, banheiro amplo e muito limpo, café da manhã excelente. Só tenho a agradecer a todos do hotel.

We went here directly from the Ibis in Vitoria which was amazing! Well....that can’t be said for this one. I checked in prior to arriving ‘because it would save time’ I was told on my email...errr, no it won’t, so don’t waste yours. The receptionist didn’t speak English. Well that’s ok because we’re not Brazilian and no other hotel speaks English either and we managed but Ibis states they do, so it’s a bonus. And in Vitoria everyone spoke English and were so helpful. There was someone in the office who came out and said in English we’d have to wait. After 15 mins waiting for the people in front to be sorted, the English speaking person came out and started checking us in. I explained that I’d done this online. Was told it didn’t matter, he still had to do it. Breakfast, that was a fiasco. We’d paid for this so went into the restaurant to be told we needed something. What? Tokens...the receptionist didn’t really believe we weren’t given them at check in. Breakfast: stale bread, stale cake, flies on food. The taxis outside are intimidating and take up all the space outside restricting you getting another lift from elsewhere. On leaving, all the vehicular entrances and exits were obstructed by several coaches unloading children. Would I recommend this one? No! There’s another couple in belo Horizonte to choose from.

O hotel é incrível! Terceira vez que me hospedo lá e com certeza está cada vez melhor! Os quartos são absurdamente grandes (3 aparelhos de ar por unidade), com dois banheiros completos. Camas bem confortáveis e banheiros também. Área de lazer impecável, com uma piscina com uma vista surreal de BH. A localização maravilhosa: verde mar, Araújo, Smart Fit e restaurantes há poucos passos de distância. Única coisa mais ou menos é o café. Ele nunca mudou. Fiquei a primeira vez lá em abril de 2022 e voltei exatamente um ano depois e o café é exatamente o mesmo. Suco de laranja artificial, pães não tão frescos. Mas cappuccino nota 1000!

Check-in foi rápido. O que me desagradou foi o fato do café da manhã ser em outro hotel e o valor não está incluído. Não gostei da cama. Banheiro é simples, não espere secador de cabelo, nem espelho de aumento, nem que a água esquente rapidamente. O quarto não tem vista. Sobre barulho em relação a rua não dava pra ouvir nada fiquei no 914 porém, outros hóspedes que suponho estarem bêbados ficaram conversando tão alto por muito tempo de madrugada próximo meu quarto que não consegui dormir. Tem uma penteadeira fofa. Tem mantinha no armário, o cheiro não é nada agradável só que senti frio e acabei usando. Tem frigobar e ar condicionado daqueles mais antigos. Pela localização, valeu a pena a experiência.

The building is very old! I know that because it is a historic building you can't put air conditioning but it is charged as if it had. The bed is not good: small and old. Besides the furniture of the room are old. There is a excess of bureaucracy in the reception with RG only physically and having q to leave the key at the same every time you go out on the street. Old, dirty and run down accommodation! I will never ever again book a room in here in the future! I would not even stay complimentary. The staff was friendly, although English skills were poor and I don’t speak Portuguese. As I entered the room I could see all the dirt on the floor and especially in the corners and next to the walls. The bathroom was outdated and the glass doors were also not cleaned properly, as you could see lime residues all over. As I just arrived from Overseas I decided to have a nap though. I immediately saw all the red and/or brown stains on the duvet, because there was no sheet underneath, but just on top. I think there were not so many hotel experiences in my life, which were so disgusting like this. First I thought, that I will complain at the reception, but then it came to my mind, that the staff would not understand what I mean due to the language barrier. I threw the duvet out of the bed and covered myself with towels, which were not as dirty as the duvet. Actually I should have left the hotel immediately, which I did so only twice before in my life, but I had this one night only in Brasil and I was terrible tired. After a short rest I had a shower, but there was no shower gel in the bathroom, shampoo-and conditioner dispenser were empty. The toilet flush didn’t work properly either, for only a piece of toilet paper you had to flush many times to disappear. Honestly this was one of my worst hotel stays and I don’t want to undergo anything like that again!

Great breakfast, good food at restaurants - all the above I give 5 stars. However the organization of restaurant in the evening needs major attention, which is sad because the food is excellent, and so I give 2 stars as I’ll describe below. For our evening dinner we - and other guests waited more than an hour for food. It was obvious they were understaffed but no one checked in with us and it was hard to get their attention. When our food arrived, they forgot my elderly mother’s meal. Wait staff continued to not check in with us - and we felt ignored. Finally we spoke with staff and they got my mothers meal…about an additional 45 minutes later, we actually ate together. I complained to the restaurant manager and I was treated disrespectfully. I felt her meal needed to be compensated. His reply was “No - well she ate it didn’t she?” I was stunned by his rudeness and stood my ground that a 5 star hotel should not treat their guests this way. A waiter saw the ridiculous exchange and ended comping her meal. I noticed other hotel guests were frustrated too and had similar issues. At the very least all that needed to be done was for the staff to communicate,”Please be patient with us; were understaffed” etc. -That would’ve made a world of a difference.

O hostel é super bem localizado na Savassi, a uns 5min do centro de BH, a pé. Fica a apenas 1 quadra do Circuito Liberdade (Museus, imensa praça planejada, Palácio do Governador..) e a 2 quadras da famosa Praça da Savassi, ambos excelentes passeios e com diversos bares e entretenimento, de alta qualidade. O staff do hostel é primoroso! Super prestativos, gente boas d+ e deixa o hóspede tão vontade como se fosse nossa própria casa. Excelentes áreas comuns, como: sala de TV (tem até um Mario Kart, kk), área de café, uma charmosa varanda e... um porão! com fliperama, música e iluminação modernas!! Ótima opção de integração e para conhecer uma enorme parte dos hóspedes, que, aliás, sempre têm diversas nacionalidades. Lógico, e nessa parte, tem 1 ponto: às vezes tem colegas de hostel bons demais, outras vezes, os colegas são mais do que excelentes!!! haha Tem maleiro próprio para cada hóspede embaixo da cama, com cadeado e tudo! O hostel possui toalhas (verificar preço no check in) e banheiro muito bom, com água quente. A cozinha é ótima, compartilhada e muito bem equipada para fazer lanches rápidos e, até uma refeição completa. O hostel também oferece um mercadinho com produtos básicos e rápidos, bebidinhas e comidinhas, pra economizar tempo e disposição. Quando fui tinha uma turma de escola e uma família também, já que o hostel possui quartos privativos. Logo, é um hostel super de boas e têm todas as tribos, desde mochileiros, aquele fds rápido em BH e até para famílias, Hostel inclusive é acessível! Têm elevador do térreo, até o terraço. Vai acabar, prometo.. kk Dito tudo isso, a energia, o clima gostoso e a vibração mágica que é todo o hostel, isso não dá pra descrever em palavras.... é algo indescritível!

We like our stay quite. nice and well-functional staff. Simply but clean and good size room. Excellent breakfast included in the daily. Excellent location, near to tourist points, bars and restaurants. Free manufacturer. Excellent cost/benefit.
