Reviews of Hotels near CentralWorld in Bangkok
Yuepingie
YuepingieThis was my first time staying in a dorm-style hostel, and I was a little worried at first, but once I checked in, it was much better than I expected. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was enough personal space, the overall atmosphere was friendly, and I felt safe, even though I was traveling alone.
I met new people from many different places, and it was a small experience that showed me that traveling alone isn't as lonely as I thought.
Overall, I was impressed, it was worth the price, and if I have the chance, I would like to stay here again. 🤍
TRAVEL+79622856446
TRAVEL+79622856446Baiyoke Sky, Bangkok – Luxury View or Old Hotel?
I perfectly understood what I was getting into beforehand. Baiyoke Sky is far from a new hotel, and you certainly shouldn't expect modern interiors and perfect comfort here.
But I was curious to stay specifically here – primarily for the view of Bangkok and the atmosphere itself.
🌆 Atmosphere
This is where the hotel truly has something to surprise you.
I think Bangkok is incomparable to other cities. It has its own inexplicable atmosphere – a bit heavy, humid, chaotic, but at the same time very captivating.
And Baiyoke Sky only enhances this atmosphere.
We also happened to be here during a period of heavy rain. It rained almost continuously for two days, the city was gray, partially flooded, and you could watch all of this from a great height through the window.
And, strangely enough, this is precisely what made the experience even more vivid.
🏙️ View
If you're choosing Baiyoke Sky for the panoramic view of Bangkok – this is truly a case where the view becomes part of the stay.
Especially in the evening and at night.
Plus, there are high-altitude restaurants right in the hotel:
Crystal Grill – 82nd floor
Seafood and grill buffet.
Jee Ho — 83rd floor
Bar with cocktails and city views.
And at the very top is the famous observation deck, from which Bangkok literally lies before you.
🍜 Infrastructure
Another big plus is the location and the fact that almost everything you need is nearby.
You can combine your stay, dinner, cocktails, and the observation deck without practically leaving the building.
For a first introduction to Bangkok, this is quite convenient.
🛏️ And now for the cons
And here I will be as honest as possible.
If you have extensive experience staying in good hotels in China, Baiyoke Sky might disappoint you a little.
After Chinese hotels, I've become very spoiled in terms of value for money.
China is certainly ahead of the curve here ☺️
Especially when it comes to small things like hair dryers. Girls will understand.
And it's not just about the hair dryer.
Pillows, mattress, soundproofing, room condition, a sense of freshness and cleanliness – all of this is no longer on the level of a modern hotel here.
So, if your main priority is to get a perfect night's sleep in ideal silence on a comfortable bed and have a modern room, I wouldn't choose Baiyoke Sky.
❤️ My Verdict
For me, Baiyoke Sky is not so much “a hotel for the sake of a hotel.”
It's more a part of the Bangkok experience.
Yes – if you want to see the city from above, feel its atmosphere, stay in an iconic place, and get a stunning view.
No – if your main criteria are a modern room, perfect silence, a comfortable mattress, good pillows, and impeccable cleanliness.
I came here specifically for the atmosphere and the view – and in that regard, Baiyoke Sky delivered.
Anonymous User
Anonymous UserGreat location with the Ploen Chit BTS Station is just right in front of the hotel, and just one stop away from Centralworld. The location is very convenient for getting around and accessing many places. The room is basic but comfortable and clean. The staff are also friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, a great place to stay for its convenience and value. I would definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to others!
Playmaker69
Playmaker69This hotel room provide clean and comfortable bed, room amenities are good, they have nice pool at level 7, their counter staffs are polite and helpful too.
This hotel conveniently located near Phra Khanong BTS station approximately 8mins walk.
Guest User
Guest UserConvenient parking, reasonably priced, and a nice environment. The rooms are clean, and the hotel service is excellent and very welcoming. It's close to Jodd Fairs Night Market, making it easy to get around. Overall, it's a very comfortable stay. There are plenty of food options nearby, with many good street food stalls in the alleyways. The rooftop pool also offers great photo opportunities! The hotel breakfast is also very good 👍
Yubujian426
Yubujian426This hotel is in the bustling Sukhumvit area, closest to Nana BTS station, making it convenient to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport by train. For Don Mueang, there's no direct train, so you'd have to transfer to the Red Line, which is a hassle. Taking a taxi is the biggest time-saver for Don Mueang.
Anonymous User
Anonymous UserUpon check-in, the staff were flexible, kind, and warm.
The room was spacious enough for two people.
Breakfast buffet was affordable at 200B, offered a wide variety of delicious dishes.
The showerhead was fixed to the wall and couldn't be moved.
It was convenient that Japanese plugs could be used directly, eliminating the need for a voltage converter.
Natamjj
NatamjjThe hotel is far from new, they just changed the name. The carpeted floors are disappointing – why? The carpet is dirty, and no one has cleaned the base. It’s good that the rooms have laminate flooring. However, this is also a questionable decision, as the laminate is flimsy and sags in places, which is probably why the floors aren't cleaned.
This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel where the staff never once entered my room throughout my entire stay – consequently, all cleaning falls to the guest. Towels aren't changed, and tea, coffee, toothpaste, brushes, soap, etc., aren't refilled; water is simply hung on the door.
We stayed on the 21st floor, and the elevator was very fast, one second per floor, so we never had to wait.
The service staff – housekeepers – only greeted us, they didn't speak. Their main person, May, a very pleasant young lady, apparently solved our problems.
The location is extremely inconvenient; it takes over an hour to get to anything interesting. However, there's a market nearby with food and groceries. The hotel is located in a mall building with various shops: clothes, pharmacies, etc. Big C is also in the same building. There are no currency exchange offices nearby, and the hotel doesn't exchange money; a 1000 baht deposit is required. I recommend walking to Festival Center, about 40 minutes from the hotel (the bus isn't faster, with transfers). You can exchange money on the 4th floor, and the center itself is interesting, large, with a Tesco, lots of cafes, restaurants, and so on.
The room itself isn't bad, it's modern, with a large wardrobe and mezzanine. The beds are very good, with a luxurious mattress topper, and the linen is clean.
We couldn't find the pool; there's no information anywhere, which is usually posted in the elevator about what's on which floor.
The view of the abandoned water park, which was probably part of the hotel in its better years under its old name, is a bit depressing.
The reception staff were helpful and friendly.
I wouldn't stay at this hotel again due to the location.
Bus and metro stops are within walking distance.
Madi990
Madi990I had an absolute wonderful experience staying at this hotel! Everything was top-notch from start to finish:

• Amenities & Facilities: Excellent, well-maintained facilities that catered to all my needs.

Additional Highlights:
- The room was spotless, well-organized, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
- Check-in and check-out were seamless and quick.
- The overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!FAQ about Hotels near CentralWorld
