The breakfast was varied, the rooms were clean, reception staff were very friendly. Juan made us feel very welcome upon her arrival and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We even got upgraded which was a lovely surprise and my request for extra pillows was fulfilled. The hotel is close to a man metro station so very handy to get around. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this hotel !

I stayed two nights in a six bed mixed dorm, which actually really looks like it is shown on the pictures, for those who are as sceptical as I was when I saw those photos. It had a bathroom inside of the dorm, containing a toilet and a shower (massive and with a comfortably large rain shower), and a wash basin inside of the room for everyone accessible even when the bathroom was occupied. There also were two more bathrooms on the same floor outside of the room. The location of the hostel is right in the area of "Sternschanze" with U/S Sternschanze a two minute walk and the area around U St. Pauli a ten minute walk away. It is comfortably quiet at night, the beds are really comfy and thanks to the curtains for every bed, it's possible to sleep through the night even if your roomies come back later at night and need the light. Everything was nicely clean and in order. This hostel does coest a bit more than the average one in that area but as it almost resembles a hotel, that is a fair price in my opinion. I would definitely stay there again.

So my wife and I went to Hamburg for a quick break after our wedding. We stayed at the Superbude as it wasweld priced and seemed to be in a good location. Firstly, yes, the location is brilliant. About 5-6 min walk from a subway station and really easy to navigate to. It is in the west part of the city centre and there are so many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within 5 mins walk. It was perfect. It is also just outside 'proper' St Pauli so you can easily walk to there but then leave it behind if you want a bit of peace. The area seemed really safe and there was a great mix of people around. The room we had was really good, all the things you could want or need. Considering it is a hostel, it had better facilities than some hotels in Britain! Only issue with the room was that it might be a little noisy in the summer as we heard people in rooms near us or walking past. There are the usual hostel facilities in the reception area, so you can take your own food etc. There is a bar but it was quite pricey. There were also families staying at the hostel and it was a relaxed vibe. Not sure what it may be like in the summer though. Seemed chilled out though. Only issue was the reception staff were a little short with us. Not sure why but it wasn't the most welcoming when we arrived. But it isn't a big issue. Staff when we left were nice so maybe it was just a bad day. All in all, it was very good. I would definitely consider staying again if we visit Hamburg.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Room was unusually large. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning which meant my room was like an oven. The staff kindly made available a large fan. Much appreciated. Breakfast was very nicely presented with a good choice but no fresh machine coffee was a shame. Lovely fresh orange juice. But... When I checked in I had distinctly said I needed to check out 1 day early. In clear German. No possibility of them not understanding this. When I tried to pay my bill the night before I was told I would have to pay the full amount. I was met with 4 members of staff talking at me telling me I was wrong. Well Boston Hotel. You are wrong! I confirmed with my booking agent (at midnight!) that I did indeed have a flexible booking and I am permitted to check out early. I had given 2 days notice. My booking agent will now be escalating this matter. I am looking forward to their response. I refuse to be intimidated into paying for something I have not had! After 30min of discussion and disagreement I was told to sleep on it and speak with the manager the next morning. I did this and was told again that I would have to pay the full amount. I knew I was in the right so I rang the police for advice who were excellent. They told me not to pay for something I have not received. I took the policeman's name and number. I informed reception that I will pay for the days I have been present and no more. Eventually the hotel agreed. I had been prepared to walk out without paying because they were making every excuse under the sun to force me to pay the full amount. The police said not paying would be ok provided I leave my details. But it would be a civil matter if I do not pay but I must leave my contact details. I was prepared to do this. Appreciate the friendliness of the young man at reception in comparison to the others! An exception. Of course, it is unlikely I will return to this hotel. Nevertheless, this is most likely an unfortunate individual experience. The hotel is nice, modern, comfortable and clean. Apart from the check out fiasco I would still recommend this hotel. Albeit extremely hot in summer! Be careful if you also need to check out early!

Awful hotel, awful staff, mediocre location. Stayed here for a week, the slowest WiFi that barely worked and some days didn’t work at all. Tell the front desk, they act like you’re stupid and tell you to switch off your device and try again...no, Madam, your WiFi is outdated. Dirty linens upon check in. Front desk laugh and say you must be mistaken. No, madam, the multiple dirt marks on the sheets and pillow cases are not my imagination. One, very slow elevator for a hotel this size is outrageous. And the lady who yelled at me when I came downstairs to retrieve my food delivery and accused me of ignoring the delivery man knocking on my door, you think I’d walk all the way downstairs to get my food if he’d knocked on my door?! You need to get out of customer service! Oh and make sure you take your unbranded white plastic room key back down to the reception when you check out, or you’ll receive a €20 fine! How about you use those fines to fix your hotel and your WiFi!!!

I spend a long weekend in Hamburg and I just love it. Really had no pre-expectations for the trip nor the place, but both were just great. We arrived to the hotel before 11am, but the room was settelled anyway although it was so early. Room was pretty small, but had a large cabin were to put your things. As we travelled light, we had no trouble fitting our luggage in. Room was absolutely spotless-clean. Also the whole hotel was so clean, I wish my own house was like that. Breakfast was for a extra charge, wich is a little minus, although it was tasty and just a right size of a portion ( no foodwaste). The neighborhood was lovely, vibrant and colourfull. Just loved walking on those buzzing streets. Good supply of different restaurants and shopping options nearby. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. I woud definately recommend MyPlace to anybody who wants to feel the city and live on it. If you appreciate personal style and touch, and bohemic surroundings, this is your place!

Running the Hamburg Marathon, the hotel has set a starting point. I didn’t expect it to be so close. Going out the road is the starting area. God, it’s 50 meters. It’s raining on the race day. It’s half an hour before the start, it’s warm and warm, and it’s so happy! The room was very small, but the window was facing the outside scenery, so it was still very comfortable. The windows are particularly interesting. Turn the handles in different directions, either horizontally or vertically, for easy ventilation. The most wonderful thing is the shower in the bathroom, three modes, just running the marathon calf, rudely rushed to the leg for 15 minutes, the next day the legs are not sore. On the first floor of the small restaurant, the food is huge. I ordered a burger, thinking that I would not eat enough, and ordered a salad with French fries. The next person whispered that she must come to run the marathon. You can see that she can eat. So many... As a result, I packed it back to the house and ate it for three meals before I finished it! In short, if you run the Hamburg Marathon, it is awesome here. Walking to various attractions is not too far away. I punched seven churches and a sporting goods store the next day. By the way, it rains every morning, and it starts to dry again at noon. It is a bit cold in the evening, very strange.

Stayed here in the week whilst visiting Hamburg from the U.K. Checkin staff were really friendly although their systems seemed really outdated but it got the job done I suppose! The room seemed very clean, beds made and even a miscellaneous chocolate on the pillow that was oddly delightful. The WiFi worked from my room but I was right above the lobby, although wasn’t available to many it was a nice bonus as I wasn’t expecting any. The tv works although if you’re staying here as a tourist I imagine you’re like myself and not too fussed anyway. Very plainly decorated but importantly it was airy, warm and beds quite comfy. Plug sockets directly next to the bed and plenty of hangers provided too! The washing facilities and toilet were all pretty clean, nothing special but again it was up to my expectation for the price. Noise was not an issue during my stay. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast however what was there was good and plenty of it, staff were very nice and smiley which is really nice. If I had to nit pick I’d have to say the bread rolls seemed slightly stale but still good enough for me to have three. Oops. Checkout was easy and the location incredibly easy to find when using public transport such as the U Bahn which was about a 5 minute walk away. It linked you to the best parts of the city very easily and it was cheap too! The staff mostly had excellent English although I attempted to speak as much German as possible with them. The cleaner also said good morning to me everyday and did a thorough job of cleaning! Thanks for a good stay, should I visit Hamburg again I would like to stay here.

Good location with parking, nice clean and quiet rooms. Breakfast has a good selection and the beds are comfortable. :) I really loved the lovely garden wich separates the main road from the hotel. Just next to the garden you can find a good restaurant-bar, also recommended.

We were a group of 6 male friends who have visted Hamburg before and are making it an annual trip. We stayed at the NH Collection hotel from the 28th Feb-3rd March and all of us agrred that we don`t need to look for anywhere else to stay next time as the hotal was fantastic. The location is great as it`s a short walk from St Pauli centre and also for Hamburg city itself. The hotel was extremaly clean in the public areas and the bedrooms. We had 3 twin suites and the rooms are a really good size with a separate lounge area with sofa bed if required and a well stocked (chargable) mini bar. Plenty of wardrobe space and a safe included in the price. We all had a good nights sleep as the beds were very comfortable and there was little or no outside noise. The buffet breakfast was really good with plenty of choice and both hot and cold food options. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, always said hello and made sure you had everything you needed. Check in/out were both extremely efficient. Big thanks to Ricardo who emailed me the day before we arrived asking what time we were due and ensured the rooms were ready for our arrival (10.30am!). 100% would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Hamburg and we will definately be returning

This is very much a budget hotel so I didn't expect too much, therefore I wasn't disappointed! My room was clean and functional with a TV and bed and not much more! This didn't really bother me as I was only staying for one night and wasn't going to be spending much time in my room! The reception staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The biggest problem was the lifts! There are just two fairly small lifts serving 12 floors (I was on the 9th!) and seriously you could grow old waiting for one of them to arrive! Then when one does arrive it's already packed!!! I realise that there is nothing that can be done to correct this major flaw in the original planning but should be borne in mind when booking! Breakfast was a decent continental spread and provided the necessary fuel for the day. Overall, this is a decent place to spend the night on a budget.

Hotel lobby and rooms are nicer than what you would expect for the price. The rooms, as most hotel rooms in Hamburg, are not large or luxurious - but they are more than sufficient, with good beds, everything is very well maintained. Decent cable TV, excellent but a bit pricey breakfast buffet (more food options than what you would expect along with some local specialties like herring salad), and best of all, your Intercity room card is also your free ticket to the entire public transportation system, trains, subways, river boats and buses. Public transportation does not use turn styles, its an honor system with spot checks, so you will always have a valid ticket on hand if checked. 4 minutes down a pedestrian street is the Mercado Mall, which has high quality food offerings in a fancy food court setting, from Sushi to Indonesian to Italian, and so on. The neighborhood is full of small specialty shops. I have stayed in this hotel more than a dozen times over the last fifteen years - it is one of the best hotel choices in Hamburg if you want to stay within the $100 a night range, and it is located in the very cool and diverse Altona/Ottensen area of the city. You will not be disappointed.

We booked a Deluxe Room for 4 nights at the end of May (15 days before the reopening of the border between Switzerland and Germany) in the hope to be able to visit Hamburg traveling by car. The bet worked nicely. We managed to cross the German border and on June 27th in the early evening we arrived at the property. Upon parking outside the Hotel we unfortunately faced the disappointment that the Atlantic Hotel is currently undergoing a large overhaul, probably delayed by the corona lockdown. As a matter of fact the whole ground floor currently looks like a large constructions site, with a temporary reception build in the area of the original ballrooms and a maze of construction panels to go thru to reach the elevators. During our stay there were no noises, just some strong glue smell in the lobby on one day and lack of hot water in our room on a morning. We were assigned room 343 which was large, comfortable and quiet but completely empty of any printed leaflet or information brochure. Given the current corona restrictions many services were either not available (pool) or reduced (SPA massages), anyway the hotel looked to us as being understaffed, with single staff apparently serving on long shifts. The paper burden was huge: we were requested to fill in forms with our data on each breakfast, teatime or dinner even as a hotel resident. As no breakfast buffet is currently allowed because of the corona restrictions, breakfast has to be ordered à la carte with three main choices & some extra dishes available. Our experience with the staff was always positive, nevertheless they appeared overwhelmed and some of them even unexperienced. Slow and inattentive interactions were the obvious result, requiring multiple calls to get things done (e.g: obtaining a working ironing board, laundry missing item in a bag of three, forgotten breakfast items, booking a table at the hotel’s restaurant). All in all, even in this complex times we enjoyed visiting Hamburg and Lübeck by train (the railway station is located 10 min. by walk from the hotel) but this stay was absolutely not up to par with the usual Kempinski experience.

I had book this hotel for a family trip to Hamburg - and this specific hotel as I thought I could expect the regular Marriott experience .. Boy, was I wrong! At arrivial we learn that almost all facilities are closed - they could have told be at the time of booking - as I have found out that they were all closed at that time. The Front of house wasen't even sorry... anyway The room was spartan but big two big beds and one chair -that's it .. semi clean The first night there we decided to sit in the Bar after en excellent dinner in town, but what a mistake. With only few guests and almost as many staff, the service was horrible... we waited for 38 min for a pint and soda and an cocktail. There is no music - an effort to make things cozy would have been cool - the Bar was so quiet that we could hear the guys in the back of house laughing and doing dishes or something similar - not what you would expect in the Bar at this kind of hotel The Corona BOMB - there is absolutly NO cleaning - NO disenfection - anyware The tables in the restaurnt / Bar are NOT cleaned between guests. The entrance doors are NOT cleand / disenfected - we sat outside for little over an hour, with countless guests passing - all touching the doors - never cleaned The calling buttons at the lift - not cleaned Guys, this is how you get infected!! The "Breakfast" is a JOKE - a plate of cheep "Bake Off" bread, old stiff cheese and ham, a instant powder scramble eggs .. food arriving before your drinks... even after more than an hour of waiting - com'on - this is not "Rocket Science" I had an conversation with their "Guest Service Manager" before check out and expressed my disappoinment - to his HUGE surprice - only to find the same manager comment on several similar complaints on this and other websites This was my absolut last stay at this hotel

Hotel was good and the breakfast was good. However we booked and prepaid via Expedia but after departure they charged me for my room on my credit card despite front desk acknowledging it was prepaid and no charges when we checked out. This is an unauthorised use of my credit card. I emailed the hotel and they didn’t reply, so I had to telephone them. They remember my email and explained it was a billing error. Nobody bothered to acknowledge my email! However this is not acceptable as I have incurred call costs trying to resolve this matter. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my lifetime and never experienced this before. Also, they have room service after 12am but don’t offer drinks. Appreciate the bar closes at 12am but guests generally like something to drink with their food even if it’s just a coke.

To compliment the Adina, this aparthotel in Hamburg, the hotel facilities are new and modern. The room type we choose can accommodate four people and is very suitable for travelling with children. Two rooms, the children's room is a double sofa bed, all have a TV. The room has kitchen utensils and is equipped with a dining table chair for cooking. The surrounding traffic is very convenient, next to the street is the "dungeon" restaurant, 10 minutes away from the food supermarket, simply not too convenient, highly recommended.
