I was on a short trip to Bangalore and needed a hotel that was convenient to the various offices I was visiting. The staff was courteous and always willing to help. Christmas Brunch was superb. Amazing breakfast spread and the pool/gym were as usual well maintained. We enjoyed the meal.

There are not many types of breakfast, but it is already very rich and eats well. The hotel also helped us upgrade to a three-room apartment for free. The brother at the front desk is very efficient. There is a luxury mall next to the hotel, and parking is available at the door. Transportation is a taxi, not expensive, and very convenient.

Initially we chose this property because of the central location that is close to UB City Mall and the beautiful Cubbon Park area. The neighborhood turned out to be very walkable with many restaurants located nearby plus two coffee shops and a wonderful bakery. There are several apartment buildings that are serviced by one gated entry with 24-hour security. Inside the gated area there was a small market where we could buy most everything we needed to cook our breakfast and lunches. The security personnel was very friendly ***** with the hotel staff. By the end of the week we felt we lived there and enjoyed chatting with everyone each day. If you're looking for an apartment property that is centrally located, in a very nice neighborhood, I highly recommend the Melange.

Make no mistake this is the best four star hotel in bangalore. From the moment we checked in, nothing was too much for the fabulous staff at the hotel. Very spacious rooms, superbly comfortable beds and pillows just like home. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and lunch. The location is also excellent. I have stayed here continuously for 9 years since 2013. Earlier the staff recognised my loyalty and respected me for that by checking me in without early check-in charges and I loved the happy hours at the upper house. Now, when I want the water replenished in my room, the front office questions me and asks me if I’m checking out presuming that I’ll refuse to pay for the water. I miss the old Capitol because now it’s becoming commercial it’s not my home away from home anymore.

Stayed for 3 days in June 2024 when I was visiting Bangalore with some friends. Pros: We chose the place because of the locational advantage - Very well connected with cabs+metro. Cons: The hotel staff without out permission entered our room apparently to make our bed and clean the room but neither cleaned the washroom nor replenished the water, toiletries or towels. All of our luggage was open and the staff dos not even ask once for our consent before doing that. Our friends had checked in with us in a different room and their room was neither opened nor cleaned which further raised flags about this arbitrary behaviour of coming into our room only. The worst is when we informed staff that some of our belongings are missing and we asked for an explanation, their reaction was extremely casual and no effort was made at all to trace the missing stuff or to even make a proper inquiry into why this lapse has happened. The complete lack of accountability and inaction despite raising such a serious matter with front desk is a matter of grave concern and I hope that Dunsvirk Inn and Olive both take this seriously.

If you’re looking for a clean and nice place to stay with a good ambiance you can go for it. Don’t expect anything fancy. I booked the base category room, that was quite small compared to other hotels (other category rooms could be bigger, don’t know about that) whilst entering you may feel that ‘oh it is so small’ but the room is kept superbly well. Well behaved good front office staff too. I had a nice experience overall.

Overall, good customer experience. Just be aware the taxi service from the hotel to the airport takes in account the return trip therefore you'll pay double the regular price. In addition, the rooms close to the elevator are noisy and the glass door to the bathroom does not hide the day light. If you are sensitive to daylight in the early morning, you've got to wear a sleeping mask.
