I read a review detailing hotel guest with drug problems, it’s a MOTEL you are going to get good and bad and everything in between in any of these places. There’s drug addicts at the five seasons difference is that they can afford it. Lol

|0.17km from city centerThis hotel is in a great location in Little Bourke St, an 800 metre straight line from Southern Cross or an even shorter walk straight to Flinders St. Don't be put off by the cheap look, the worn carpet, old paint and narrow corridors, the room was clean, secure and quiet, the heating (A/C) worked, there was hot water and good water pressure and the beds were comfortable. For a cheap few days, there was really little more you could ask for - very close to everything you want to see in the heart of Melbourne and easy to get to and the desk staff were attentive and polite. Basically the definition of not judging a book by its cover, this is the perfect little place to stay on a budget.

|2.1km from city centerIt's convenient to drive by car. Follow the white road, Maroon*** HWY, and turn left to Victoria RD. Then turn left at Melba HWY and you will be left. It's perfect to avoid the high-speed route for navigation. Hotel facilities feel old, especially the pool is a bit disappointing! The hotel provides a big bed room according to my request! The welcome letters are all in Chinese :) The hotel has a free 3 boxes of instant noodles (although we have not eaten) and three bottles of Italian mineral water! Surprisingly, the four small pieces of chocolate are delicious! All breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the hotel, full western food! Breakfast is included in the room rate, lunch and dinner for two big ones for nearly $300! The nearest winery is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. After the hotel reception has received the voucher, you can go there for free 5 kinds of wine! The tasting staff just happened to be a little girl from Shanghai. I was very kind. I bought 6 bottles of wine (can pay Alipay or WeChat). The next day I took a baby to go to the Wildlife Nature Reserve, which is 18 minutes drive from the hotel. !

|0.79km from city centerWe arrived in Melbourne from Sydney at 8pm on Monday 10th, with the intention of staying at an apartment we booked. We got to the apartment and it was shocking. We couldn’t stay at this particular apartment as it was not to our satisfaction and was not safe as we had 4 children with us. We looked to find alternate apartments and we came across Nesuto Hotel. The time now was 10pm. We gave them a call and asked if we could have a look at the apartment before making a decision as we wanted to make sure it was safe for our children. The manager Krisha agreed for us to have a look. We were impressed and booked 2 hotel rooms. Krisha and her staff were amazing and very caring. She saw how stressed out we were and wanted us to be happy. The next day Krisha called my room to see if I was ok as she saw how upset and stressed I was. All I could say is that this has been the best hotels we have been to. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were very clean and it was close to public transport. But best of all was that the staff were very caring and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I was lucky enough to get a room with a view of Albert Park. My room had plenty of space to set up a work station as well as relax.

Look carefully at the letter when you check in. It is a little far from the train. Hours, if you want to take the train at 10:30 am, it is recommended to go out before 8:30, because they will run into their morning peak. There are walking directions, and it is wonderful to make a circle at sunset.

|1.9km from city centerWe chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

Bed was comfy. The lady at the desk even gave me the choice of room if I wanted a room towards the back that would get less traffic noise or one in the middle She even opened them up and showed me. The location is great, lots of alleyways nearby with bars/restaurants. Parking not too far away. We booked at Wilson's online and got a deal. The restaurant was only open for breakfast but that's ok when you have a kitchen! The rooms are very spacious! Especially for the city. You get bath robes which were a great addition. My only complaint was the towels. They were tiny and very worn. Improve this and I'd rate our stay 5/5!!

|0.78km from city centerI arrived in the evening in Melbourne and I wish the hotel has better information regarding their on-demand free shuttle. I researched previously but not much info found so ended up paying $25aud for a short taxi ride. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was surprised that they did not have my booking despite I had it pre-paid and received confirmation number. It took more than 30min to sort it out. Room was okay though nothing special. The air conditioning vent was blowing directly onto the head rest area on the bed, and it was rather uncomfortable, so I ended up sleeping sideways. Shower and bathroom were generally clean but don’t expect a lot of amenities. Next morning when I checked out, I was surprised the staff asked me again whether the room payment had been settled! Given the whole ordeal the night before, I was surprised that no messages were passed on regarding my booking! Good thing was Trip.com was quick to respond to help sort out the situation but little apology was given by the hotel.
Will I book this place again? Highly unlikely!

The location and rooms definitely look nicer in the photos, the rooms whilst large and well appointed are very old and worn… dented fridges, damaged furniture, bedside lights that don’t work etc. it’s all perfectly liveable it’s just not what I expected from the photos. Staff were friendly but the place just needs some TLC. If you think this is a nicely restored boutique hotel you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re seeking conveniently located, reasonably priced accomodation with low expectations it will be perfectly suited.

|2.12km from city centerThe staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodate they do anything do make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment is clean and smelled good and they even offer laundry detergent. There's an intercom that gives access to friends and family or uber eats. The location is super. 7mins walking distance to the shops. The downside is that the fire brigade was just across the road and they are all the time switching on that annoying siren so was quite noisy 😑 and the bedroom didn't have an air-conditioned or fan and it got quite warm sometimes. The only place with air-conditioning was the living room but it took a while for the bedroom to could down. But apart from I highly recommend this place :)

|0.73km from city centerLocation: The location of the hotel is very convenient, many sightseeing points and shops are at walking distance (10-15 min). Moreover, there is a plethora of restaurants around the hotel and China Town was also a 10 min away.
Cleanliness: Although the room looks clean at first glance, without room service available, the room can get messy and dirty really quick. Moreover the toilet and cooking area are relatively small, which makes everything cramped together and drips everywhere. Another thing to note is that the shower place in the bathroom does not have proper enclosement which will cause water to splash all around when taking a shower to bath, especially the water closet which causes a lot of inconvenience.
Service: The staffs at the counter are very helpful and friendly. Not only they were polite but they will help and make your stay as pleasant as possible by assisting you with your needs (extra amenities and beds).
General Facilities and amenities: Even though you can always ask for extra amenities from staffs, the facilities ans other services in this hotel is completely lacking. As mentioned, there is no house cleaning service provided nor there are any other recreational facilities such as swimming pool or in house kitchen.
Another point to note is that Mentra 100 is not a big hotel, they only provide 1 or 2 room selections. If you are travelling with 4 ppl or above it is best to keep this in mind as some people might need to sleep in the living room given the limited space.

|0.66km from city centerStayed here as a Diamond Ambassador in an iconic suite - Check in experience was great, warm welcome, benefits acknowledged and welcome drink provided. Amazing room, ridiculous amount of space, comfortable bed, great little office/working area. Unfortunately, the general level of service/care factor is lacking especially when staying in a room costing over 1k a night! One of my complimentary water bottles was open/used and about half empty, yuck. Later that day I wanted to use my $25 credit on the minibar 200ml bottle of gin (which is listed as inclusive of 4 mixers). Gin was missing from the mini bar I couldn't find it. Called down to reception to ask if it was by request, they assured me it should be there and would send someone up. Waited 2 hours and no one came which frustrated me as I was waiting so called down again and was assured someone was on the way. Someone did arrive with a huge bag full of everything except the gin. When questioned didn't seem to know what I was talking about, I had to point to it on the minibar menu and was met with a very confused expression, he left. Then about 30 minutes later a different person arrives with the gin bottle, success. However upon checkout there were a bunch of mini bar items charged which I hadn't consumed, and in fact were not even missing. I hate having to have that conversation but after only 3 words they were ”happy to remove them” which makes me think this isn't an uncommon occurrence. I later noticed that the mixers were charged as well where as they should have been included with the gin purchase cost, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time to try and sort it out. Club lounge service was attentive but did fill up and get quite busy in the evenings however my drink was always topped up and the staff there were friendly and engaging. Temperature control seems non-existent in the room and I'm convinced it makes no difference what you set it to. I had my do not disturb on until mid morning, so as I was leaving for the day dropped by reception and said I may have missed housekeeping and could they have someone make up the room. Arrived back a few hours later and it hadn't been done. All up a real mixed bag here, but can't help feel my simple requests were a bother and inconvenience.
