We spent a wonderful week in this amazing guest host. We know it’s mostly considered as a hotel but in Marbella Heights, you really feel like in your own home. All the staff (Stephanie, Dalia, Marta) take good care of us. Of course we don’t forget the manager José and his friend Sofia who were also very kind and helpful with us. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast were very healthy. For the lunch and diner, you have the choice between Cesar Salad, Tuna Salad and of course their amazing Cheese and Iberico ham and also other things. There is a big pool and enough long chairs. The views are awesome. The Marbella Heigts is about 15 minutes by car from Marbella and 40 minutes from Malaga. The Maranda suite is spectacular (big bed, dressing, enormous terras with table and 4 chairs, 2 long chairs, lounge, big bathroom with separated bath and separated shower. If you have the opportunity to go there, you wont certainly not be disappointed.

Depends what you are after for an overall golf experience as to whether this is your perfect place. Certainly was ours. The helpful reception set the scene and although overall the resorts main areas might be ready for a refurbishment, the hotel areas and rooms are really nice and spacious with everything you would need for your stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff throughout the resort - and having landed in the wrong elevator from the underground hotel parking (our error) the staff could not have been more helpful. Resturant food felt like it was bordering on Michelin star, without the price! The steak and lamb chops was to die for - thank you so much fabulous chef. Leaving golf gear with the caddy master overnight for an early start was made especially easy by ALEX and followed through by excellent course management the next day. The course is beautifully kept despite its challenges and once again courteous treatment from green keepers and maintenance staff was consistently good. Cant wait to book our return trip............and we only live just over an hour away!

Booked a seven day, five rounds of golf holiday with friends. Very impressed with this hotel from the start. Received an upgrade to a junior suite. Very large room well equipped but slightly dated. Damaged wardrobe door handle made it awkward to use. Concierge and reception team were all excellent. Public areas within the complex were beautifully maintained. Our stay was breakfast only, which was comprehensive. I can’t think of anything not available to eat or provided on request. We also sampled lunch on our first day which together with drinks was expensive but great quality. Hotel is remote and we took regular taxi ride into Marbella old town for tapas each evening having eaten main meal at the respective golf courses after our round. The golf was very well organised. Transfer to Marbella golf & country club and Santa Clara golf club was undertaken by the hotel. Other courses via shuttles. Storage for golf clubs was off reception and concierge fetched and carried clubs for us. Review would have been 5/5 but for closed swimming pool, expensive bar and dated room finish detract. Beach club closed due to early season. Highly recommended but be prepared to taxi or drive as remote.

My friend and I found this lovely gem for a birthday weekend away. The location is absolutely perfect, minutes in one direction to a lovely clean beach, and a few minutes the other way to the pretty, bustling old town. The facilities, whilst simple, are faultless. A lot of thought has been put into a beautiful renovation, so it has everything you’d expect for a short break. Clean, tidy, with a lovely little courtyard to catch the last of the evening sun. There’s also a nicely stocked coffee station in reception too, with little biscuits and muffins etc to tide you over until breakfast. Perfect for us, in every way.

We have just returned home from an amazing Wedding anniversary vacation. From check in to departure our experience was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, more so in this current situation with the Covid-19. The hotel was spotless, the cleaning staff did an amazing job. The guidelines put in place by the hotel was very good, to ensure all guests and staff were safe at all times. Thanks to Lordes and the team by the pool & beach who looked after us everyday, we appreciate you all for making our stay so great. Service at the Beach Club and the main Restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. We have visited Marbella over 10 times and always stayed in different hotels. I can happily say we have now found our permanent location in Marbella. We’re already looking forward to our next trip. See you soon Amare Beach Hotel Gracias

Great apartment. Very clean and close to all amenities. Great for a little break and excellent value for money. Very clean. Would definitely stay again. Slight noise from road but not really noticeable once there. 2 min walk to beach and 30 seconds to nearest bar and restaurant. Great car/moped hire shop next door to apartment and short walk from old town.

I spent 2 nights at Hostal Tak and loved my stay here. Craig was so welcoming and made me feel instantly at ease. The location was just near the beach and the old town so it was perfectly located. My bed was really comfortable and I loved the interior design and little touches which just makes this stand out from other properties that I have stayed in. I definitely recommend this property for solo travellers.

We had a fabulous stay at this gorgeous, quirky little gem in old town Marbella & were so pleased we chose The Town House. It enjoys a great location on a sweet, lively square, surrounded by the labyrinth of old town lanes, & just minutes walk from the sea. With 10 rooms it has boutique, personal appeal & service was spot on. We all fell in love with Patryca on reception who was fun, friendly, super helpful, & had terrific English skills. Service at breakfast was caring & authentic & the small buffet spread delicious. You can take it inside the stylish lounge area, on the outdoor patio in the square, or on the delightful residents only roof terrace. The property is very artily decorated & bedrooms, all with lovely names, all different, are really chic, adorned with antique style furnishings & bucket loads of artistic flair. Molten Brown products & powerful shower. Luxury bedding. No children younger then 14. A super find, highly recommended if like us you love unique, chic, boutique hotels.

After the borders opened up following the lock-down, my wife and I wanted to get away for some sun and to try and relax after a pretty stressful 3-4 months. La Villa Marbella in Old Town Marbella was the only place on our shortlist. We have stayed here many times before and apart from our usual criteria (perfect location, lovely room, private balcony, hot tub, cleanliness and wonderful service), we were confident that even with the covid-19 situation, we would feel safe. Knowing the very high standards Marcos and the team work to, we knew we could trust them to look after us – and we were 100% right. There are very strict Health & Safety measures in place, down to the smallest detail, all of which was explained to us carefully when checking in. We knew at that point we were going to be looked after as though we were a member of the family and that we had made the right decision. We relaxed completely and had an amazing time. Being able to chill out like this meant we stayed longer than expected, too. Thank you Marcos and to your amazing team for looking after us so well. We look forward to visiting you again soon.

This little B&B is right in the heart of old town, which we loved, full of places to eat and great little shops. It wasn’t noisy either, which given its position we were a little concerned. Yes you can hear the hubbub but close the door and it’s a quiet oasis. We had room 7 which was quite big with two bedrooms, one double one single, a sitting area, bathroom and terrace that was up a spiral staircase...quite a feat with a G&T in hand! It was comfortable and enough for three nights. We felt the terrace was in need of a bit of TLC but otherwise the room is traditionally appointed and was very clean. The bed was too firm for us, but that’s just our preference. Reception was and helpful when we asked a couple of things. Otherwise we were pretty self sufficient. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re staying a few days in Marbella, and want to be in the heart of beautiful old town.

Situated in the town centre, Beautiful on trend apartment spotlessly clean with daily maid service, leave your towels in the shower and will be replaced with clean ones, the bathroom also has a hairdryer and a supply of toiletries. Requested a top floor apartment as you get sun on your balcony and get a glimpse of the sea. The hotel is situated on a side street on a steep curve, so there is little traffic and is very quiet. From the hotel it is a short walk to the old town, orange square, the beach and shops. Half day closing on Saturday closed Sunday then Monday to Friday open until late. You can pick and choose whether you want designer or similar priced shops as in UK. Went to Peurto Banus for the day and only cost 2 euros there and back on the local bus. There are designer shops but also the Corte del inglis department store. The restaurants fronting the port are expensive but reasonably priced down the side streets. The centre of Marbella has beautiful manicured gardens and lots of fountains. It’s very quiet in the evenings so go for a stroll a meal and a glass of wine. If you want a relaxing holiday this is the place to go. There is a large supermarket on the next street to the hotel and reasonably priced so you can have a meal in your apartment if you wish. Transport from Malaga airport was a mini bus which took us straight to Marbella with no stops and returned to the airport by coach with no pick ups not sure if this is the norm in peak season. Can’t praise the hotel and the friendly staff enough. I forgot to mention the swimming pool on the hotel roof, the weather was hot so didn’t stay there long although it was the middle of October. There is a bar there but closed as it was out of season.

The service was extremely poor, the front desk was black, there was welcome drink but it was not given to us. Hotel facilities and location is ok, but Marbella also has many hotels of the same price, the front desk service is bad. Because the itinerary changed, I booked another night. I decided to change the room with the front desk that night. I got to call us the next morning. We had to pack the luggage for 15 minutes to change the room. The communication was fruitless. It also takes 30 minutes because it was still taking a shower, and the front desk said that it would give us a maximum of 15 minutes. Really served, this grade of hotel should not be like this.

Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms cleaned and bed linen changed daily! Spacious and well equipped, friendly staff, great location handy for local bus and very close to beach/promenade, so whats not to like? Corner rooms can be noisy from traffic (we were moved without fuss), although a previous review mentions a sea view I have my doubts. We asked for a sea view room and were assured they do not have any and the layout of the hotel (after our two weeks holiday) would indicate that if you had a top floor apartment and stood on your partners shoulders, you may see a ribbon of water! Breakfast choice was excellent, but the hot selection was always only luke warm at best, and whilst did complain about that, nothing changed. Just down the road is a supermarket with an escalator that will take you down directly to the promenade. Total lack of information provided by the hotel, bus stops, places of interest, etc, which seems strange but in fairness lots of leaflets from local tour operators in reception. Would we return? I'm afraid the lack of a sea view was the killer for us, if you can live without that, I'm sure you will enjoy the hotel and area.

My friend and I stayed here for a few days over the new year. I’ve been to the Marbella area quite a few times but have stayed in the city centre. This was the problem with the Don Carlos , the area was very quiet ( I know it was January ) but the city centre was buzzing ie around the marina and orange square. The Elvira square was dead and only a few restaurants open. It was easy to get the bus ( 1 Euro 18 ) into orange square and Puerto Banus and taxis to other restaurants . Da Bruno in Cabopino very nice, el Oceano ( fantastic for brunch ) I had booked a superior room with sea view and was surprised that it didn’t have a balcony. I was told the deluxe rooms had the balconies . The towels were changed morning and evening with the turndown service . The breakfast area was very busy and some tables needed clearing . The choice on offer was really very good. The bar in the evening had a good atmosphere with entertainment. We had a few issues with the housekeeping where the cups and saucers , tea and coffee and glasses were not replaced and we had to call them. The reception staff were amazing and very helpful. Our one big issue was the spa . We had assumed that residents could use the indoor pool but we were told we had to pay a discounted amount of 30 euros to use it with a time limit of 1 hour 45 mins !!!! We understood that treatments were payable but just to use the pool was ridiculous. The weather was a bit cloudy and we would have liked to use the pool. The outdoor pool area was very clean and the gardens very well kept. The beach club was obviously closed and looked a bit unkept. So overall a nice hotel on a nice beach ( a stroll through the gardens and beach club ) but a bit quiet.

Stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of September as a solo traveller. Firstly there are a few rooms that don’t overlook the pool, I was lucky enough to have an upgrade to a first floor room, that did overlook the pool. Great room, spacious, included a hairdryer, fridge, toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities and ample room for clothes. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice - bacon, eggs, cereal, croissants etc and always warm/hot enough. I didn’t eat at the restaurant in the evening so can’t comment on that. Cocktails - these were great! Always served with a friendly smile. The hotel itself is a 5 min walk to the beach and approx 15 mins to San Pedro. I did walk along the front to Puerto Banus - which took about 40mins - worth a visit. Pool area was small but always managed to get a sunbed. Now the staff, the reception staff - with special thanks to Andrea and JoseAntonio who helped with organising my bus/restaurant booking to Gibraltar - thank you! They were so helpful and always ready to help with a smile. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

There is a good Restaurant on site and Bar with Happy Hour from 5.00-7.00 Entertainment in season on some days of the week. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Two Supermarkets. I chose this place over an apartment in the Old Town due to the parking. Very glad I did as the parking situation in Marbella overall is very difficult. Do note though that the 'free parking' is actually a restaurants and not the hostels, so it is not guaranteed. It got very busy during the day as it seems people use it to go the beach so just be aware that during peak season there may not be availability. For a 1* accomodation this place is great. Very clean, a lot more toiletries than I have ever received in Spain and the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We just used it as a base but found the mini fridge very helpful for keeping water/fruit in. The wifi speed was great and the children enjoyed watching the Disney channel. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a clean, budget place to use as a base when in Marbella.

Just returned from a week stay and I cannot fault it at all. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with hot tub. Apartment was cleaned every day. The staff that we encountered always said Hola! and were very pleasant. The hot tub was just what we needed after being out all day. We had a hire car for the duration of our holiday and there was free parking in the street outside. The bus route was also good and cheap, we used this a few times rather than try and park in the centre of Marbella although we did also walk into the centre too. A few hundred metres walk to the beach. This is definitely our go to place in Marbella now and we will return. Thank you for a great stay.

So I booked this visit through Secret Escapes which described Molo 44 as a luxury boutique hotel. The pictures looked beautiful so I booked immediately. It was after that I started to get a bit confused as to what we were going to find. Some sites described it as hotel, others as a guest house etc. It is in fact what I would describe as a cross between an air b&b and a b&b. We were upgraded to a duplex suite which I have to say was just lovely and decorated beautifully. We had access to a shared garden and the views were indeed stunning. We did speak with a couple of other guests who stated their rooms were certainly below standard with dirty terrace furniture and no views, leaking showers etc so I guess it depends on your room allocation. Breakfast was confused. No where did it state on our paper work that it was only continental so if we wanted anything else we had to pay. Even the continental breakfast wasn’t up to par. I would expect more of a selection and cold meats, cereals etc to be offered. We did get a few slices of cheese on the last morning. There was only one person serving and we felt like he needed a lot of help. We felt awful Continually having to ask for hot water, hot coffee, warm milk and more bread. I would suggest a buffet style breakfast would work out better for guests as long as tea and coffee were readily available. I did speak with the owner before arriving and asked if there was a bar and was told there was. There is NO bar where you can sit on an evening or afternoon and have drink. There is however a table with a few bottles of liquor that apparently you can help yourself to and just leave a note and you would be billed. We had to ask for hand soap on a number of occasions and while one of the cleaners was pleasant the other was not and literally looked at me like I was an irritation and told me to use shampoo. We gave up asking! In summary I think if you booked thinking you were staying in a luxury or even moderate hotel you would certainly be disappointed. If you just expected a nice clean room, with wonderful views you would be more than happy. Would I return, possibly, if the price was right as the location is excellent and I would know next time what to expect. Would give breakfast a miss.

Stayed four days this week in en-suite room. This is a Pension not a hotel towels and bins were changed every day.Room is small and with double bed little room left. Has a large wardrobe, chair table with drawer. The hotel is clean and well looked after. We had a room next to two rabbits that kept us up most of the night. You could hear everything that was said and done.Quite entertaining and lot of stamina. It has a lovely open terrace where you can said. There was no excessive noise there just people enjoying themselves. It is located right in the Old Town and walking around even after dark is safe Lots of restaurants some expensive some not need to look at posted menus outside. We arrived early and they were happy to take our luggage so we could get something to eat. Lot of people moan about lack of facilities. It is not a hotel it is a pension. If you want more go else where. Place is very clean and well maintained. One thing did bother me though was mold in the shower along the bottom of the wall. Appears to have been their for a a while and needs to be dealt with asap. Over all good value for money.

We are regular visitors to Elvira and to the Beach House, but this time we were guests of a family members 60th Birthday (how lucky were we!) We had 4 nights at The Residence and had all 5 rooms so it was like having our own personal 5* villa. It's amazing, all of the staff are fantastic and looked after us exceptionally well. As we all knew each other we were able to visit all the rooms, they are all individual with amazing views, there wasn’t one of them that I wouldn’t want to stay in, they are all exceptionally well furnished and very clean, the beds were fantastic. Whether you want breakfast by the pool or in the bar, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. When relaxing round the pool, staff are always at hand for any drinks or food required. We had diner in the main Beach House on the night we arrived and then the tasting menu on the second night which was fantastic and served at the large table by the pool, there was plenty of food (we had the curry menu) no-one was going hungry. We normally spend our Sundays at the Beach House when in Spain but this time we enjoyed our Sunday lunch poolside in the Residence and then joined the party on the beach afterwards, something to suit everyone. We all had an amazing time, the features inside the Residence have been sympathetically restored (the banister on the staircase is amazing) the table made from reclaimed wood to mention a few, some interesting paintings all around the communal areas. A fantastic time, a real treat, would love to come again and would highly recommend.

My husband surprised me with a trip to The Oasis by Don Carlos for 3 nights, this was the first time we have visited and it exceeded our expectations. The most impressive part of the stay was the service that we revived from all the staff, in particular the ladies on the Oasis reception and spa, our Personal service from Maria - the experience advisor was extra special, her attention to detail and her above and beyond approach made our visit extremely memorable. We stayed in a standard room. Although the most basic within the Oasis, it was extremely spacious with a large private balcony. The bathroom is one of the best we have experienced within a hotel - large, mordern and with a double person shower you will not be disappointed. The resort grounds have to be experienced to grasp the size and facilities on offer. Large swimming pool, country park, tennis courts and a sports centre with modern gym are a few of the highlights.

Mum and I have just returned from our annual 5 day Marbella mini break and after 8 visits we love this hotel just as much as ever. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly (special mention to Maria on reception who is so lovely), the cleaners do a fantastic job and the fact that you can book half board for little more than bed & breakfast and take this at lunchtime leaving you free to sample the wonderful restaurants in resort at night is an added bonus :) The location is fantastic - so close to both Orange Square and all the quirky shops on the pretty narrow winding streets, and also the beach front. It’s like 2 different resorts and holiday in one. At the time of year we go the rooftop pool is often quiet so it’s great for chilling in the sunshine! The hotel does get very busy especially at breakfast - usually with Spanish nationals on escorted tours - so it can be a bit like a bun fight if you go first thing! The food is typical 3 star and very Spanish (lots of fish) with enough choice to satisfy. There is free WiFi though it doesn’t work in the pool area it is very good and fast enough Rooms are comfortable and functional and have benefitted from the refurb in 2017/8. Still lots of storage space which many hotels seem to be lacking these days. The only thing we can find to complain about is that the air conditioning seems to have taken a turn for the worse and isn’t very powerful at all! Might not be the most pleasant in the height of the season. The hotel is on quite a busy back street so the view from the balcony isn’t the most scenic but floor 5 or higher you can see the sea. Gets the sun all afternoon until sunset which is perfect. I get quite upset when I read negative reviews as this hotel is like our 2nd home, we feel so comfortable here. However it is a 3* and not everyone’s cup of tea. For us we think the location, value for money, free WiFi and rooftop pool is second to none and would not dream of going anywhere else. We got back yesterday and I have already enquired for Sept 2020 :)

The hotel was pretty empty and the pool closed for the winter but other facilities were open and staff were welcoming. The room was large with a sleeping area, a seating area and a good size bathroom. We had sea and golf course views. Breakfast was exceptional with an excellent selection of hot and cold options.

Marbella City Center
Beautiful place , located in the centre of Marbella close to everything , and there is also a beautiful rooftop with a bar . You can walk from the hostel to the port which is takes you 5 minutes, also walking to the bus station is only 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I didn't stay at the hotel, I was staying at the nearby Marriott Marbella... but I wanted golf lessons... and was recommended Dean Symonds from Greenlife. I have never had a golf lesson in my life. I am a complete beginner, and to even approach a driving range was a step outside my comfort zone. I was give the warmest of welcomes by not just Dean but Paul the other Golf Pro and also by all the golfers at the Driving Range who ranged from amateurs to serious players. Dean was the most patient, encouraging, technically brilliant teacher. His ability to quickly identify how to get the best from me even as a beginner meant that I left each lesson having learnt a lot, and each lesson consolidating on what I'd learnt before, and I always left smiling! The facilities are great, help always on hand, and friendly encouragement from everyone you meet. Between lessons I felt more than comfortable turning up and practising all that I'd been taught on my own around the Driving Range from Putting to Chipping to Driving. A well hidden secret which shouldn't be! One taxi driver didn't know where it was but I guided him the easy 5-10 minute journey from the Marriott (around €7-8)... and every day I walked back to the Marriott which was around a 40 minute walk (and it's about a 20-25 minute walk to the town square of shops and bars) to stretch off and just enjoy the beautiful views. Great place in a great location with great views and great people - not sure you could ask for more!?

Both my friend and I work for the NHS as frontline staff, and we arrived looking forward to a much needed post- lockdown break in the sun after the horrors we had seen recently. I chose this place based on the good reviews. Indeed there are many positives. Great location, clean and airy and right on the promenade in front of the beach. Close to bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from central Marbella. Room was a good size and had a reasonably well equipped kitchen . But the first night we arrived, we realised the air conditioning wasn’t working. It was stiflingly hot. We politely reported it to the guy on reception who thought we’d pressed the wrong buttons on the control and insisted it was working- it wasn’t. So the next day they said they’d get “technical “ to fx it. After a day on the beach we returned to find the room boiling hot yet again. We again reported this to a rather dismissive and disinterested man on reception. He said it was fixed. We asked him to come and see for himself. He refused. After yet another sleepless night in suffocating heat, we again explained that it really wasn’t working. By day 4 we were told it was indeed broken but could not be fixed. (Why not I have no idea) But we were given a mobile a-c unit instead. Great, we thought! But whilst it blew cold air at the front, it was blowing out boiling hot air at the back. When we returned from supper, our room was 30C! So the next morning I properly complained. I said i would be expecting some sort of refund. I have now checked out and my refund was 10% which is €51. Barely covered a meal for 2. I was given a grudging apology for the “inconvenience “ despite 5 nights of no sleep and that was it. So I will not ever return to this place. I hope any of you staying will have functioning air con as otherwise, you will be having to sleep on the beach like we did. Not impressed Puerto Azul. Not impressed at all.

Visited the restaurant twice in August. The food was good and the service was great. Reasonable prices with good views and atmosphere. Went to the paella evening, great atmosphere and watched the paella being cooked. Wasn’t the best I’ve ever tasted though.

Had high expectations having experienced the Nobu brand in its restaurants but this fell a little flat! Whilst advertised as an adult only exclusive boutique experience the reality seems to be it is a hotel created from carving off a small section of Puerto Romana ?? Whilst Nobu restaurants has a unique proposition with a eclectic fusion of Japanese and Peruviam cuisine, the hotel felt like it had neither Japanese or Peruvian influence anywhere ? This confused me somewhat. Yes it is a luxury hotel with a beautiful beige/ creamy palette but it did seem to lack a specific identidy to me ?? Mayby if they had called it Ubon I would have had different expectations? It is a beautiful hotel and bedrooms are large and spacious even at entry level. Hotel staff were very customer focussed in all areas. This horrible covid19 pandemic has meant that the buffet breakfast has had to be revamped. This didnt really work very well but it is still early days and maybe needs little time to settle in ? It is a managed / served buffet where staff serve you but there were congestion issues where clients were not respecting self distancing. The hotel has rightly self distanced all dining tables to Spain's 1.5 meter rule. Pool area and grounds are delightful but I just felt you could be in any luxury hotel anywhere. It dosnt feel a brand. Maybe it's just me with high expectations from being a restaurant client over the years ??? I believe there are about a dozen Nobu hotels around the world and the brand is still expanding. First opening was in Las Vegas about 7 years ago. I understand Robert De Niro is a major shareholder in the business ? Nobu Marbella is lovely but it didnt get me wanting to see where the next Nobu hotel I could stay in was located ! I would have given a good overall rating but TA allows only average or very good. An average rating would have been mean and so I have gone for very good overall. The Nobu restaurant is excellent !
