The main reason I stayed here was the ability to get to union ststion where I could catch the snowstang bus service to copper/a basin for a weekend ski daytrip. The hostel is about a 3/4 mile walk from the train station. The area surrounding the hostel is lined with bars. The hostel itself is unique in that a fully operational bar is located on the premises. The interior decorator for the hostel has turned it into a whimsical nature. I stayed in a large room with 10 bunk beds and there was enuf room to keep my ski gear the attendant said that there have been many other snow sports visitors here. The beds had a real soft mattress and the room was well heated that I could just wear a tshirt. About the only issue I ran into was carting my equipment up a large flight of stairs from street level there was an elevator on the premises but it’s not readily apparent. By the way if you use google maps I was able to take a weekday ski trip to eldora from here

Chose this place based on its proximity to the events we were attending while in town and was not disappointed at all. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The hotel is very secure as you must use your keycard to enter the lobby after hours and to use the elevator. They have a 24 hr fitness center which was well stocked with treadmills, a cable machine, and a good amount of dumbbells (up to 75 lbs). The treadmills look out on the street so you can people watch while you exercise. The pool is set up the same way and they provide towels for it, which is a nice feature. The area has a variety of restaurants (try TOKIO Ramen shop) that are all within walking distance. There's a King Sooper grocery store right across the street with a Starbucks inside it or a Whole Foods about two blocks down. It's just under a mile walk to Ball Arena for Nuggets or Avalanche games. I only have a couple of complaints but I'm still giving it max stars. There is some apartment construction in the lot next door. I didn't notice the noise too much but it did bother my wife a little. Not enough to keep us from coming back but just be aware. I mean, it's a big city so obviously there's going to be noise. No big deal. The other is just kind of a downside of cities but if you want to park at the hotel the valet lot is $38 a night. It's very secure, under the hotel, and you won't do better than that, just be prepared to spend a little more than expected if you do that. We love this place and will definitely return.

Really cool spot in downtown Denver. Gorgeous lobby and rooms with lots of really interesting places to eat and drink on the buildings first floor, right next to Coors Field. Easy to park in the garage and access public transportation. They also have a very useful courtesy shuttle policy. What really stood out was the customer service though. We were in for my sisters wedding and that can be stressful, so every thing mattered just a little bit more than it usually does. Over and over, Grace at the front desk was ridiculously helpful. She was super friendly and engaging and made it really easy to ask for help. I've worked in retail and customer service for years - she stands out as an example of what it means to work effectively in hospitality. Thank you Grace. We will stay at the Maven again, partly because you are a part of it.

My wife and I recently spent one night at the Ritz-Carlton Denver when we were on our way to Aspen, and we had a very quick, but enjoyable stay. The hotel is generally nice and upscale in the way that all Ritz-Carltons are, and a great room upgrade made our stay even better. The only negatives were that the hotel felt a bit bland overall, and the high level of service that I’ve come to expect from the brand wasn’t as palpable as we’ve experienced at other properties. However, we were also barely at the hotel, and nothing went wrong with our stay, so I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again in the right circumstances. Arrival Experience: The day before our arrival, I completed online check-in on the Marriott app, and as soon as we landed in Denver around noon on our arrival day, I had a notification from the app saying that our room was ready and that we’d been upgraded, which we were very happy about (I’m a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member). The app also provided a mobile key that we could use to go directly to our room. I’ve found that the check-in and arrival process on the Marriott app are often glitchy, so it was nice that it seemed to work properly at this property, actually notifying us when our room was ready and providing the mobile key. When we arrived at the hotel, one of the doormen greeted us immediately and offered to assist with taking luggage to our room, but we declined, since we didn’t have all that much and it was all easy to take ourselves. I mentioned that we had already done online check-in and probably didn’t even need to stop at the front desk, but he pointed us in the direction of the front desk anyway. He recommended that we get a backup physical key since the mobile keys don’t always work well, especially in common areas like the elevator where a key is required for access to each floor. The lobby area when you first walk in is very nice, with high ceilings and displays of fresh flowers. It’s all very open between there and the front desk, with no real seating areas until you pass the front desk and reach seating near the elevators. Check-in at the front desk was definitely the most disappointing service experience we had at this property (and since our encounters with staff were limited, each one mattered more than they might during other hotel stays). The front desk staff member who checked us in just wasn’t nice or welcoming at all. He provided no actual welcome to the hotel, didn’t engage in any of the usual pleasantries like asking about how our trip was going, and didn’t offer to point out hotel amenities and services. He simply took my ID, gave me a room key, and that was it. Hotel Room: When we got up to our room on the 11th floor (1120), we were both very excited to find that it was an unexpected upgrade to a one-bedroom Executive Suite. Platinum Bonvoy status typically does not entitle you to suite upgrades at Ritz-Carltons (just upgraded standard rooms), so the suite upgrade was above and beyond what we e

This is a very affordable hotel on the side of the highway, in a more remote location. Driving is convenient and there is no additional parking fee. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the city center Union Railway Station to provide free pick-up and drop-off service for hotel guests. The journey time between the hotel and the train station is about a quarter of an hour. The hotel offers continental breakfast and the room size is adequate. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in April 2022 while attending a conference at the Sheraton down the street. It is located about 2 blocks off the 16th street mall but still very close to restaurants and venues. It is easy to walk or take the free 16th street shuttle. Unfortunately, 16th street has declined over the past few years since I was last here and it has gotten pretty grungy and smelly. This hotel is just far enough away that you can get away and still be close. Check-in was easy. The lobby is mostly taken over by the waiting area for the restaurant. The room was well appointed and nicely furnished although it didn't have an alarm clock. There is no ice on the floor - you can call to have them bring it up or go down to the 2nd floor. The internet worked well with no charge. I didn't use the valet, but a colleague did and they dented his car. To their credit, they took care of all the arrangements with the rental car company and my colleague was taken care of. The gym is on the top floor and has great views. There is a rooftop bar that seemed very busy in the evenings - which did clog up the elevators a bit. Overall, this was a good stay and I have no complaints,. I would stay there again when in downtown Denver.

The embassy suites is always a winner when it comes to the breakfast Included . A made to order omelet bar was wonderful and the chef was so friendly. The room was very clean albeit maybe a little outdated but clean nonetheless. It was perfect for my two daughters (16 & 20) and my husband and I. Having a separate bedroom with a sink/vanity and bathroom with a sink allowed us to all get ready quickly or wash your face and brush your teeth without waiting for someone in the bathroom. plus the living room also had a kitchen sink. Parking is included as well. I believe if you are an honors member then WiFi is free there may be a charge if you are not . So easy to become a member and it’s free. We were attending an event at DU and it was only about a 10 minute drive . Oh I must mention the pool and hot tub, super nice and clean. Exercise area is fine as well. Definitely a great price for what they offer . The hotel lobby is so large that you can spread out and sit in many areas without feeling to close to another party . Evening reception is also a nice perk and the bartender was very friendly

Denver downtown/capitol hill
It was such a bad experience that I'm not even sure where to start with. Pretty much everything went wrong during my 3 nights' stay at Sheraton Denver Downtown. I stayed there to attend a tech event (conference + hackathon) nearby. All I needed was just a clean and quiet place for me to have 3 nights' peaceful sleep since I would be at the event full day (from 8am till around mid-night). What a shocker, it turned out this hotel could not even meet this very basic need! To start with, front desk checkin staff did not mention or offer me a room upgrade (I'm a gold member). My assigned room was dirty when I got in, with some leftover hairs in the bath from previous guests, and dust on the desk. No one informed me that the hotel provided NO housekeeping service unless the guest explicitly requested for it. Only learned that next day after I got back to my room mid-night seeing that no one had serviced my room. I made sure to request housekeeping for the next day, but guess what, when I got back to the room the next night after full day event, only the surface was serviced, there was a dirty towel, and underneath the comforter, the bedsheet was all crumbled and not changed at all (I took a photo and will try to upload here). Except for the last night, I was kept awake by the loud in-room heater and super loud next-door neighbors (who came back to room around 2am & started playing loud music with heave bass beat 2 nights in a row), what made it even worse, is the in-room filthy smokey smell -- I've requested non-smoking room as I always did everywhere I went, but the room I got felt like it's been soaked in smoke for months or years! It was extremely unpleasant to having to breath in/out that smoke-filled air inside of my room, unfortunately since I arrived late night and had to spend all days at the event so I didn't have time to ask for room transfer. After I had to call front desk twice the second night I stayed there, around 2am, for the unbearable noise from neighboring room, the manager on-duty sent the security up, but did NOT offer any room transfer, or refund/credit for all the inconvenience and 2 sleepless nights I suffered after checking in. The only thing worked during this stay was the in-app check-out. However the bill sent me afterwards from the hotel contained a wrong charge -- I only used the room for sleep and got no time to use any of the onsite venues or room service, yet they charged me over $36 for a fraudulent restaurant bill! If I didn't pay attention to the final bill, I would have been over-charged by this property, while instead, they should probably have offered me complete refund for such a terrible stay. Even after I filled a hotel survey post stay and shared my experience, the hotel manager named Kathryn Lane simply replied with a short email (seemed to be copied & pasted from a template) without any real care or apology, or any offering of refund/credit as a way to say sorry. How disappointing to see the service leve

In years past I stayed at this property frequently. I won’t again. The structure was essentially the same. A nice atrium style hotel. But, that’s all that was the same. It was a lot of little things and a few big ones. One coffee container for two people. One bar of soap. Not the expected hand soap and bath soap. No maid service the following day. So no towels, coffee, and such. Of course the bed wasn’t made. We were told we should have requested service by 10:00 am. No one bothered to tell us that. The first night we decided to have dinner there. Imagine the wine being served in a plastic cup. And the food served on paper plates. But, the real kicker was breakfast. My wife’s and my bill was $41.00 including tip because I wasn’t going to penalize the server. $4.00 for two pieces of toast. $5.00 for a super tiny container of yogurt. Gimme a break. The second night we returned to the hotel around 9:00 pm. The parking lot was full so we tried to use the garage. Nope. The gate wouldn’t open. So we drove around and around until an opening came available in the far back area behind the hotel. When we reported this to the front desk the response we got was “I’ll tell the engineer.” He didn’t while we were there. We gave up after a while and prayed our car was safe. We were quite embarrassed by this experience. I invited friends for this stay and secured two rooms. I had unfortunately bragged about this hotel. I was here when President Obama stayed. Then they had this experience. I felt terrible. I just hope it alerts others and provides local management helpful feedback.

We stayed at the Magnolia Hotel this weekend. The best part was driving in off the street to the entrance to the hotel and the fabulous location downtown. We could walk anywhere. Unfortunately in our room the heat wasn't working. We told the staff before we left the next day. When we returned, the thermostat had been turned up to 83, but the temp in the room still measured 64 degrees so no improvement. We asked for another room which they gave us. After moving all our stuff to the new room, we realized there was mold around the bathroom tub. In both rooms, there was a high sided tub with sloping sides and no grab bar, which could be dangerous for older people. There was no refrigerator in either room; I should have asked that when I booked the room. The mattress in the 2nd room was uncomfortable (sagged in middle) and there was a broken phone plug in our room, and the internet was slow although you could upgrade to faster wifi for $10/day. No newspapers were available. All in all, the property just isn't well taken care of, and no one acts like they care. The restaurant, Harry's, was also disappointing. They were understaffed which I understand in 2022, but the food was just OK and the service was terrible. We had to ask for everything even after we got our food. Silverware, please? Salt and pepper, please? All in all, I would not recommend this hotel, and we will not stay there again.

I booked this hotel expressly due to its immediate proximity to a Denver Tesla Supercharger, but I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's a nice, clean, updated property with spotless rooms and comfortable beds. The suites have an awesome open desk area that separates the bedroom from the living area, a decent sized closet and a combination bathtub/shower. The free breakfast looked good, but get down there before 9 AM. I didn't check the time and I missed it when I arrived at 9:10 AM! Hot coffee (caf and decaf) is available in the lobby. For Tesla owners, check out the Denver Supercharger notes on your Tesla's screen. When I was here in December 2021, they had two prices for charging: the regular rate from 11 AM to 7 PM, and an off-peak rate of $.17/kwh from 7 PM to 11 AM. But those six charging stations are popular, so you might have to wait for an open spot.

The hotel is in a excellent location just blocks away from 16th street mall. It is very convenient and highly recommended. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is very very. The only issue that I had is the contractor did not finish the job in my bathrooms. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling with water leakage, but the manager did compensate me one night of stay for the inconvenience. I did prepay for 5 nights and for some when I checked out the hotel clerk double charged me, but the hotel will refund me for everything. So be very careful about check out charge mistakes happens.

This place is quite a find in downtown Denver. For less than other hotels in the area there was a kitchenette that included a dishwasher and dishes, silverware and cooking utensils. The sleeping area and bath decent size and well maintained. The staff went the extra mile handling special requests. Especially wonderful are Denise who I spoke to on the phone before arrival and at the hotel. Andre was exceedingly helpful, and congenial Also, Shane and Allie were great. A block from 16th Street Mall with easy access to cafes and shops, a free bus runs up and down 16th. I took the train from the airport 21 dollars roundtrip and used the bus for the rest of my transportation. This is a great place to save money with the kitchenette and public transportation without sacrificing comfort and cleanliness. Also, clean contemporary lobby space with gas fireplace. Very close to Convention Center in a well-lit area. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Downtown Denver has people who sleep on the streets, like so many metro areas. If you want to stay in the downtown/business district at any of the hotels just know that's how it is. If it's an issue stay further out from the city.

The property itself definitely needs an update. Our friends came to visit and have stayed here previously but not for a few years. Their room was clean and not in disrepair, but otherwise property needs refreshed or overhauled. Outside of the property - I would never recommend people stay in the hotels along Colorado Blvd around I-25. Colorado Blvd is the new Federal Blvd evidently - with drag racing and very loud cars/motorcycles all along the road during evenings/nighttime. Incredibly noisy facing east from the hotel - and can be heard facing west (away from Colo Blvd). Obviously out of the hands of the hotel - but they and all properties along Colo Blvd should be calling in Denver Police.

I stayed here twice in a week, on my way in and out of Denver. Both times, the experience was very comfortable and pleasant. First off, the airport shuttle came fairly soon all 4 times I needed it to. The drivers are courteous and the ride comfortable and not too long. Daniel was manning the front desk my first day, and was superlative as a customer-facing hospitality professional. Solicitous, courteous and efficient. I saw him greet everyone who passes by the lobby with a cheerful voice, and made us all feel a little less tired and confortable. The suites were in good shape, beds were comfortable, showers efficient and everything worked as advertised. The location was nothing to write home about, but adequate for an airport sojourn. I would stay here again if needed, without any hesitation.

This hotel felt pretty upscale compared to what I'd stayed in before. You needed a card just to use the elevator, there was valet parking, and the surrounding walking space felt busy yet classy. The rooms were cozy, clean, and modern. They had all kinds of things in my standard Queen room, shampoo and conditioner, soap bars, lotion, coffee and tea, fridge and micro, and ice box along with the fridge/freezer. Because I had to catch the early flight to live, it feels good, although the breakfast was too early, but the hotel was very humanized to put cakes, apples and bananas in the lobby. Adding coffee (including caffeine-free coffee) for 24 hours is really good. I also lived in another hotel near the airport, which is not the case. Overall clean and quiet service attitude is good. It is worth mentioning that the airport shuttle, shared by several hotels, runs every 15 minutes, and the WS van is marked outside the 505 door to the east of the airport. No need to call. After returning the car, take the car rental company shuttle bus to the airport, then wait for the hotel shuttle bus, not far from the airport, closer to a number of airport hotels on the aurora side. The hotel price is relatively inexpensive, there is a gas station in the area, suitable for filling the car after the car is filled (very close), it is recommended.

The stay started great. I was upgraded to a suite as a Platinum elite member. They also provided a $10 daily Platinum credit for the convenience center and for Starbucks drinks. I wondered if they would still offer that benefit due to COVID. The Bistro was closed. The room was large and met my needs quite well for a week long stay. My room was pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable. I'm very happy that they honored the preferences I made when making the reservation by giving me extra pillows and towels. It seems like most Marriott's I stay at don't bother to look at my preferences. There was plenty of free parking. Note that there is currently not an airport shuttle (maybe it's due to COVID, but I'm not sure). Other hotels directly surrounding the Courtyard are still offering a shuttle, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that. The hotel is within 15-20 minute walking distance to the A train that takes you downtown or the airport. Now for the negatives (most of these are small). 1. The windows were not locked and I could hear air coming through. It took a little bit of jiggling around, but I was finally able to close them. While I was over there, I noticed the windows were filthy. There was black dirt on the inside edges and the outside of the windows need a good cleaning as well. Not a big deal, but the little things get noticed. 2. I'm also not sure how clean the carpet was. The bottom of my socks got kind of dirty after a day of walking on it. 3. The tv remote for one of the tvs wasn't working properly. I managed to make it work. Once again, a small thing. 4. The mini fridge didn't work, so I had to request a new one. The issue was dealt with pretty quickly. 5. I had an issue on check out day with the daily $10 food & beverage credit for being an elite member not being applied. The first person I spoke with early in the morning said that because the Bistro was closed, they weren't doing the $10 credit. They said it didn't apply to the convenience center. This directly went against what I was told at check in. Luckily, I went down later in the morning to speak with someone else and they gladly adjusted the bill to account for the daily credit. Please make sure your staff members are informed of the current policy. 6. Lastly, they don't have a separate person making Starbucks drinks in the morning, so a front desk person has to make it. I felt bad because it took them away from front desk duties when there wasn't another person working. To their credit, the front desk person was always willing to make the drink. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel if I was in the area again (especially for the exceptionally low rate I got).

The quality of this hotel has been gradually decreasing, and during Covid it has fallen dramatically. I was upgraded to a suite this past stay due to my status. The bathroom had fixtures falling away from the wall, a broken toilet seat, and paint peeling off the ceiling. This is not a one time issue and I have seen this in many of the recent stays I have had at this hotel. Maintenance is nearly non-existent, along with the maintaining of the cleanliness of the hotel. Since the pandemic started the lounge has been closed and other amenities have stopped. With other hotels in the area reopening their lounges, the Renaissance refuses to open theirs. No one, including many staff wear a mask, yet feel it is too dangerous to open a lounge for people to get water and snacks. This is obviously a cost cutting measure aimed directly at their most frequent travelers. The last issue I have is with the parking. There is no reason to charge for parking, and the Renaissance is the only hotel in the area to charge for parking. They don't use this parking fee for maintaining the garage since the elevator is frequently broken, trash cans overflowing, and the stairwell smells of urine. It is possible to park on the street outside of the hotel, but this area has now been overcome with campers and vans that people are living in. I went for a morning run and had to dodge animals and trash generated from people living in their vehicles around the hotel. I know this isn't the hotels fault, but I feel it is no longer a safe hotel to stay at. Sorry, one other thing. During my last stay, two nights in a row, I came back to at least six police vehicles with their lights flashing and blocking the vehicle exit from the hotel. The first time I could excuse, but having a second night is now a pattern. No information was given, which can be expected, but it didn't help to alleviate my worries about what might be happening at the hotel. This is something I would expect at a low budget hotel, not a Renaissance.

Let's get right to it....Upon arrival last month, I handed the front desk attendant my id and MasterCard. Yes my credit card does have a paypal logo on the front but it is an actual MasterCard credit card issued by Synchrony Bank. The attendant said sorry we don't accept paypal and I agreed w her explaining that as a business owner myself I would never accept paypal as a form of payment. However, my card is an actual credit card not paypal credit.. there is a difference. By now the shift manager came out and was extremely rude. The guy didn't even ask to see my credit card.. just walked up and said, " We cant accept anything w paypal on it." He then proceeded to say Hyatt doesn't accept Venmo, Cash-app, Zelle etc.. Again I explained that I personally wouldn't accept those other forms of payment as well but today I am handing you all a MasterCard backed by a REAL financial institution. We went back and forth and finally I just gave up because it felt like I was being treated unfairly.. Hyatt House, you have yet to respond to my calls, emails and inquires. Feels like I am being ignored. So my question remains: DOES HYATT ACCEPT MASTERCARD CREDITS ISSUED BY SYNCHRONY BANK?

Stayed here because we had an early morning flight. The hotel is quite pricey for what you get but it is nice being onsite at the airport. My main complaint is room service, we ordered two salads that were $24 each that were nowhere near as described. The salad was advertised as being lettuce, walnuts, fresh berries, dried root vegetables and garbanzo beans. We received a salad with lettuce and a few walnuts, total rip off as it doesn't match the description. It was late so we didn't bother complaining, however we did take the survey when we left. That prompted an email from a manager asking what the issue was. I explained the issue through email and the person never responded. Why bother asking what the issue was if there was no intent to follow-up or say anything about the complaint?

I selected the hotel to fit my family of 5 and the price is one of the cheapest. Got there at 2am, and the receptionist isnt the friendliest.. until he actually helped me to find the luggage trolley and was very kind to book shuttle etc. (It was 2am, it would be very spooky if the staff is smiling non stop anyway). For my short transit, it has good room, shuttle, and close to airport. Oh did I mention breakfast? Sufficient spread and it was a life saver! Everything is basic but the basic is all rightly done.

This hotel caters to conferences so it has more amenities than a typical hotel. The lobby is large and inviting with a nice roaring fire. There’s a restaurant and large bar and lounge right off the lobby. The front desk staff were excellent. The room was spacious and well appointed. I would recommend a room on the backside away from the trains that rumble thru in the night. The location has very easy off/on to I-70. There is no free breakfast but there is a full restaurant and Starbucks in the lobby as well. You will be charged a daily rate for parking.

The hotel is very close to the airport, the transportation to and from the airport and the hotel is convenient, and the breakfast is quite satisfactory, which meets the needs of ordinary people. The price/performance ratio is relatively high. It is recommended for travelers who do not have high requirements on the location of the hotel to choose as appropriate.

This hotel shares a hall and breakfast point with the Wood Hotel. The room allocated to me is quite big, but the layout is really wonderful. The bathroom is too far away from the bed. Three walls are cut across three walls, and I go to the toilet at night. Too far. The breakfast was quite good and the location was very close to the 16th pedestrian street.

It’s a budget lodging so don’t expect scuff-free, soundproof rooms or an Instagrammable lobby. But if you have an 8-hour layover as I did and don’t want to sleep in the airport, this place fits the bill. Bed was comfortable with three fluffy pillows, and bathroom included an array of towels and soaps. Free breakfast was surprisingly substantial with fresh biscuits and gravy, cereals, and hard boiled eggs, and it opened at 4 am! Add the 24-hour free shuttle to/from airport (every 30 minutes), and this place is a terrific value. (Neither EconoLodge nor Motel 6 offered a shuttle, despite changing similar rates and having “airport” in their name.). Friendly staff member who checked me in apologized that I had to wait for two guests ahead of me and told me a grab bottle of water or soda on the house!
