Jodi LJodi LI was looking for a quiet, serene place in Malaysia. I even consider Cameron Highlands, but was put down due to long travelling time. When my friend recommended Forest City, I straight away book it. The staff is responsive and quick to respond whenever I needed a buggy or have a question. The only down side is that the gym is too far from where I stay.

We appreciated the hotel’s commitment to being eco-friendly and reducing plastic waste. For example, there were separate bins for recycling and wet waste, and no plastic bags were provided in the bins. Guests should bring their own laundry bag, as plastic laundry bags are not provided.
Disposable Slippers are available upon request from the reception. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable, making for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
Breakfast was decent, with service available from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Another convenient feature was the water dispenser available on every floor, so guests can refill their bottles easily. It is recommended to bring your own reusable water bottle.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who appreciate environmentally friendly practices.R-OMYR-OMYWe were looking for a short relaxing trip and chance upon this location. Just 10 mins away after you clear Malaysia checkpoint from Tuas side. Very quiet and relaxing place, in the morning you can hear the birds. We enjoyed the walk by the beach and sitting under the coconut trees. The room is very big, very comfortable for a family. We chose the seaview room, which was amazing. Few improvements would be the lounge chair at the balcony and the aircon. We had some issue with the aircon in our room, set at 16 degrees but the room was never cold, just chill, even after the technicians came, it was still the same. There is a swimming pool and gym (very big and well equipped). Buffet breakfast is included in the package, and 1 bento meal for lunch or dinner. Spread for breakfast is sufficient, not woah thou. There are quite a number of restaurants in the vicinity, all walking distance, but mostly all chinese cuisine. The nearerst place to go for meals would be Bukit Indah or Eko Botanic, which is about 20-25 mins drive. Will come back again just for the peace and quiet.

We enquired about wire charging and they also provided a extra toothbrush as I had another young toddler. We didn't prepare for stay over as one of us was unwell unable to travel home. The 4 bunk bed was a great experience and it comes with roller blinds with privacy. Shower area is decent and hot water comes out fast. Recommended for budget travel.Anonymous UserAnonymous UserThe location genuinely works in its favour — the only business hotel in EcoBotanic, with pretty much everything in the shoplots area within walking distance. That part is great.
Everything else though? Hard to recommend.
The smell hits you the moment you step into the lobby and follows you all the way through the corridor and into the room — a stuffy mix of smoke, mold, and poor ventilation that never really goes away. The bedsheets had visible stains, and the aircon felt like it had been quietly throttled for electricity savings — no matter how you adjusted it, the temperature just didn’t budge.
We lasted maybe 7 to 8 hours before calling it. Checked out first thing in the morning because staying any longer simply wasn’t an option.
Unless the management does a serious overhaul on maintenance and hygiene, this one is hard to recommend for anything beyond an absolute last resort.kornqan.sgkornqan.sgStayed for one night in Deluxe King Room. The room is spacious and clean. The location is good. Not far from CIQ, food places and convenient stores within walking distance.However the main door of thr room needed to be pulled hard to open and pushed hard to close it as the door is not aligned with the door frame. The air vent near the door not properly covered so the ugly ceiling snd wiring csn be seen. The most disappointing occurrnce was the AC, which was working eventho not cold with the thermostat shown 16'C. It worked till 9am when it shut off automatically and not able to turn it back on. Called reception to send the technician to fix the AC. Nobody came till we checked out. The location of the hotel is good. But some parts of the hotel looks rundown. Can see no renovation done after the name change.
